Incredible reflection capture. Such a rich image. Gavin’s backside wasn’t quite as pretty as that, but did add levity 😂 dirty boy!! Keep up the phenomenal work sir.
I envy you immensely. Here in the UK, I have to struggle to extract an image out of the ever grey skies, and there the nature hands you down magical light on a plate. Well done for being there and be prepared. Fabulous photography.
Another interesting and entertaining video (love it when you work with that modest chap from Yorkshire) and some beautiful images. The combined sunrise shots worked so well.
..moved to southern alberta for 5 yrs many yrs ago..just love that and northern montana area...spent countless hrs at writing on stone and yes is hard to find an image that really stands out..ok, yes, but....also when you decide to sell off nikon stuff let me know about your 200/500....as always enjoy your vids.......
Awww look at Gavin all cozy with his “stalker”. All three of you crack me up. I love the beautiful photos you all take but I stay for the humor. Thank you.
So glad to see you guys getting away from the mountains! The Rockies only comprise about ten percent of Alberta and yet they get all the attention. There is a huge variety of landscapes in the other 90 percent - like Writing-On-Stone - that get very little love. Thanks for getting off the heavily-beaten path!
It's always fun with Gavin and Adam. They are always relaxed. Adam looks a little Paul Revere. Amanda likes tech talk like women like muscle car talk. Not. But I think she is pretty happy. Geez, it's fall after all. I need to get out and look for those great fall shots. The Van: If the bed turned out great for you and your partner(A term I 'm getting used to) well, that's half or more of it right there.. I see there is a plan. Those "green bottles" we know those. They have their place. Flat light, flat topography; there is a photo there. A little light, that's all we need.
Beautiful video today Adam! We've picnicked many times at that spot in Canmore and we hunt annually just east of 'writing on stone' in the Milk River valley. I've always wanted to cross into Montana and explore those Sweetgrass Hills just over the border. They're supposed to have their own unique ecosystem and weather patterns...
I enjoyed the chatting with Gavin, little chit chat about camera sterf. Like just hanging about with friends talking shop. 😊 Like the last shot of Ha Ling, beautiful color with the sun. Nice update on the van; good plans for it. Wow the moonlight you captured was something else!!!! Like I've ever seen before.....🤭 What a change of lovely scenery with the hoodoos, didn't know Canada had an area like that, really cool. I always have a hard time with comps on areas like that, wonderful job as usual finding such beautiful comps there. Thanks, Adam! Cheers!
Beautiful locations! And I’m so entertained listening to you and Gavin discuss cameras. Would love whole videos of that 😄 especially because I’m considering switching from Canon to Fuji after 10years.
Lovely, just lovely. I'm sure if you approach them Laowa will send you their 17mm GFX mount for you to try. It is a great lens and offers very little in the way of distortion 🙏
Encroyable in Canmore... Love the van tour update... We 'discovered' Writing on Stone a few years ago... a magical place indeed, although during the summer months it is almost impossible to get a camping spot in the park... I always look forward to the transition from your RAW file (20:00) to the processed image and predicting what I think you will do... it serves as a wonderful learning tool to help sharpen my own vision of what can be from what is... I hope you also found Red Rock Coulee as part of a loop taking you back to the west coast... Thank You
Beautiful Images Adam! that Gavin sure is cheeky...not sure if I had to see that much cheek though... Great locations. Your van remodel is coming along nicely. Looking forward to seeing your official unveiling of the van! We are getting some fall colours in Ontario, but heading to Banff next month to get some wintery mountain settings. Next is BC !! Keep them coming Adam, beautiful images!! thanks!
Enjoyed this a lot, Adam. The conversion between you and Gavin at the beginning was especially nice. Look forward to seeing what else you come up with from the last location. Cheers!
Great video Adam. Not sure if the moon shot has put me off peaches for life. The van is coming on nicely, slow but sure. Love the banter you and Gavin have.
Holy Crap I only said last video I'd love to see you travel out that way and take some shots and .... can't thank you enough for that Adam. Incredible loaction. Just beautiful and I'm guessing there will be more shots to come from there along the way.
Lol XD Mr Hardcastle showing his builders bum again, he is such a cheeky chappy. As I said on your Instagram post you had fantastic light for that shot at the lake.
Wow! I just bought an empty church near Writing on Stone and I'm in the midst of moving my family into it. I was going to check out Writing on Stone today. Nice shots!
Hi Adam, if the GF 23 is not enough for you, then ask LAOWA if they will send you the Laowa 17mm f4 to test. I would be very interested in your opinion. Greetings Rita
Love your photography insight as always, here’s a tip for you. I would recommend not taking Gavin on any astrophotography adventures, because I heard that the moon can ruin your photos. lol
What a great location and stunning images Adam. The second location was so alien like and looks like another planet. Great explanation and very inspiring to watch. The van is coming on nicely. Thanks for sharing Adam. I look forward to watching the next video. Keep up the great work.
Long standing subscriber to your channel Adam and enjoy your content. Just a little constructive criticism, not photography related. The volume is rather loud when you introduce music, maybe go another -10dB from your regular setting. It will probably match the same level as your dialogue that way.
thumbs up duly given... The first location with the lake & mountains was my favourite by miles. Simply stunning location captured beautifully! Pardon the pub, but the hoodoo's didn't really rock my boat. The first hoodoo shot had a lovely sky, but the rocks had no light on them. The second hoodoo shot where you composited the sky & the land also could have done with more light on the foreground. The third hoodoo shot, the one with the nicely illuminated cottonwood had the foreground light, but I felt had too much bland rock in the lower quarter to a third of the frame - maybe a more pano aspect ratio might have worked better here because the top two thirds, & especially the middle third, was were the interest lay for me. It's only an opinion mind. It felt like one of those locations that 'feels' like it has bags of potential, but releasing that potential is nigh on impossible! I've been to locations like that before & found it very frustrating. The opening location more than made up for the hoodoo's though, you could sit & look at that lake, mountain & sky all day long! ahhhhhh.
Really enjoyed this video as we just spent the last month in the same general area but went up through Jasper (Edith Cavell Glacier is worth a visit if you haven't been, go early) and then down through to Horseshoe Canyon and then Dinosaur Provincial Park before heading back through the Banff area to the rain in the Fraser Valley. If you haven't been to Dinosaur it's also a great spot with a campground right amongst the rock formations, just don't go on a weekend!
Great images. Not sure when this was filmed, but I was down there Sept 30 and also got some (IMO) good shots. I was only there for one morning though, so I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to find good compositions as well. It seems like it is almost too much of a good thing. Next time I go I will definitely be staying a little longer. The campground down there seems like a nice quiet spot. I am told that astrophotography is phenomenal in there, too! There is no light and almost always a clear sky.
Don't know why Gavin needs mist, he can just create it in Ps. (As seen in his 5-Day Deal tutorials! Link in the description? 😉) That first morning's light was amazing! Van is looking really good. 👍 Thanks for the video Adam!
The van is coming along nicely. Going to do any solar? Experimenting with 1960’s Russian prime lenses for landscape. A bit soft, but an interesting departure from the more modern glass. You might want to find some “Crack Spackle” paste for Gavin’s pale moon cheeks.
Great video Adam. The quality of those raw files is impressive - seem to need little edit enhancements. Kept thinking each photo was the best until the next one showed all were equally good.
Really nice work. Your images are edited perfectly. For the most part you can’t even tell they are digital images. A lot of them resemble large format quality. 👍. Gavin better step it up if he hopes to surpass you haha 😂
All the things one cannot unsee
Nice to see you have your Yorkshire Gold tea bags in the van at the ready. That takes you up a notch on the photography scale.
Yes it does!
Небо и вселенная увидят твои старания Adam и вознаградят тебя новыми шедеврами и стимулом. Мы в тебя верим! Удачи..👍 🤝
Moonlight will never again have quite the same connotation. Terrific stuff, Adam.
Great shot! Glad you cut your ponytail!!
There are so d*mn gorgeous images in this trip!
Incredible reflection capture. Such a rich image.
Gavin’s backside wasn’t quite as pretty as that, but did add levity 😂 dirty boy!!
Keep up the phenomenal work sir.
Beautiful pictures man. The moon was big and bright that day
this first sunrise shot, so damn good!
I envy you immensely. Here in the UK, I have to struggle to extract an image out of the ever grey skies, and there the nature hands you down magical light on a plate. Well done for being there and be prepared. Fabulous photography.
at 3:45 the light is doing something spectacular on the clouds. :) Behind you guys. This was a fun video and really enjoyed your compositions.
Another interesting and entertaining video (love it when you work with that modest chap from Yorkshire) and some beautiful images. The combined sunrise shots worked so well.
Thanks Adam, love the photos.
Remarkable reflection shot. Thanks for taking us along.
A great video and gorgeous images. Great to see updates on how your van is progressing.
I just got myself the 16mm 1.4 wonderful sharp too
great pic at 6:40 !
Cool locations Adam! Thanks!
Quiet moonlight! You never know what to expect with Hardcastle around...
Great video Adam!
..moved to southern alberta for 5 yrs many yrs ago..just love that and northern montana area...spent countless hrs at writing on stone and yes is hard to find an image that really stands out..ok, yes, but....also when you decide to sell off nikon stuff let me know about your 200/500....as always enjoy your vids.......
Adam: ................ you're the Master! Superb images.
I really enjoyed the longer-form video. Beautiful shots, thanks!
Glad to hear it!
Nice video Adam. Can't beat a Yorkshire Tea, I noticed that comfort of home in your van. Cheers
Great shots & video. That full moon was a little sketchy though! Surprised it didn't ruin your vision! Van is looking good!
You and me both!
Loved the reflection shot at 8:40 with the chevron patterns through the middle. Busy, but a feast of colors and shapes for the eyes!
The rebuttals from Gavin are perfectly timed, he has the Les Dawson style down to a tee
Great video, love the van, wish we could get them in the States
Awww look at Gavin all cozy with his “stalker”. All three of you crack me up. I love the beautiful photos you all take but I stay for the humor. Thank you.
What a fantastic location! The images are so beautiful. Thanks for another really fun, informative and entertaining video.
This video had it all - gorgeous scenery, great discussion, great laughs.

There is a huge variety of landscapes in the other 90 percent - like Writing-On-Stone - that get very little love. Thanks for getting off the heavily-beaten path!
Beautiful shots Adam. Always love the banter between you and adam. Atleast your camera can shoot during a partial moon.
Great quality microphone Adam. Picked up that distant thunderclap at 4m44s...
Photogasmic location!

Gavin Hardcastle in the Rockies, sept/october....in the most appropriate footwear (flip flops)...LMAO
Just beautiful 👏👍👌🏆
Welcome to southern Alberta! Beautiful photos and an always entertaining vlog!
Beautiful photos as always, good to see Gavin and Amanda too they always make me laugh.
Your thumbnail looks like a scene from trailer park boys 👍
Thank you for your hard work on these videos.
Love the interaction between you two. Great shots as ever.
That was a calm way to begin a Monday morning. Thanks Adam.
The morning shot was beautiful. I think it would be great in 16:9 aswel? What an amazing country with the Hoodoos! Thnx for taking me there Adam.
I see you've got a proper brew, Yorkshire tea
Great video, thanks for entertaining us and bringing us along for the trip!
You bet!
ParP! Beautiful scenes match with beautiful photography! Your both smashing it, amazing place.
Cheers, bud!

Nice video. Love your storytelling and photography
Wonderful shots and always a joy to see you at work. Can't recommend your book enough - beautiful images!
You do what hoodoo so well 🤔😀!
That first shot of Ha Ling is awesome!
Now I can visualise that first shot with the dawn light from the second location I see what you mean about the boulders, Adam.
I love what you're doing with the van. Annnd Damn Gavin! I have to put my eyes out now. Way to "crack" on! Ha!
Lovely, just lovely. I'm sure if you approach them Laowa will send you their 17mm GFX mount for you to try. It is a great lens and offers very little in the way of distortion 🙏
I'll check it out!

Moonlight, farts and beautiful pictures. Exactly what my mental health needs right now. Thanks!!!
Location, States, Canada, BC? Just curious if you have the HOO-DOOS up your way. Nice photos as always.
Southern Alberta, Canada

Why did you have to share with us. I can't unsee the moonlight now. Also crack kills.
Pretty awesome stuff.
Very cool Adam love your shots
Nice location and nice shots!

i can really see photograph click by adam gibbs says "years of experience".
When you are as amazing a photographer as Adam, you can find moon light almost any time! Brilliant video. I didn't know Canada had Hoo-Doo's.
Love your photography insight as always, here’s a tip for you. I would recommend not taking Gavin on any astrophotography adventures, because I heard that the moon can ruin your photos. lol

Simply Glorious mate😉
Thank you kindly
Can already see the Fuji marketing guys attaching a screengrab of "moonlight" to the "youtube influencers" power point presentation ;)
That was a really good vid Adam, thank you.
Quite Light @14:50
Always a great video Adam - good thing you have Amanda in there to balance up Gavin :)
Long standing subscriber to your channel Adam and enjoy your content. Just a little constructive criticism, not photography related. The volume is rather loud when you introduce music, maybe go another -10dB from your regular setting. It will probably match the same level as your dialogue that way.

Tom must be jalours at your stickers!
I have the Z system and the lenes are so good…..
Nice video Adam, I see Gavins been shaving his ass again, no wonder Nikon weren't interested.. 😂
At 5:07 and 5:21, did I hear gunfire?? Is someone taking shots at Gavin??
Great images. Not sure when this was filmed, but I was down there Sept 30 and also got some (IMO) good shots. Have to say that the GH shot at 13 min + is quite Adam Gibbs influenced ;) ;) But don´t tell GH!
Best video you've put out all year and BEST photo...on my laptop ;)
Hehe, probably!
Those Hoodoos are great. I kept thinking you should be Kirk, and Gavin can play the Gorn. 😁
Supposedly actor Ben Stiller owns the original Gorn head
@@QuietLightPhoto I can imagine that. I wonder if it would fit Gavin? He's got that Gorn like physique. 😂
Great Video!!
Thanks!
Don't know why Gavin needs mist, he can just create it in Ps. (As seen in his 5-Day Deal tutorials! Link in the description? 😉)
That first morning's light was amazing!
Van is looking really good. 👍
Thanks for the video Adam!
Thanks, Barb!
That second place you travelled really looks problematic for good compositions, but seems it could be perfect place for taking photos with drone.
Yes, exactly but drones are not allowed.
Great vid! Great pics! Gavin seems to fall apart, so to speak, when he gets around you doesn't he? I think he's a bit jealous... Again, great vid!
Exactly! haha
The van is coming along nicely. Going to do any solar?
Experimenting with 1960’s Russian prime lenses for landscape. A bit soft, but an interesting departure from the more modern glass. You might want to find some “Crack Spackle” paste for Gavin’s pale moon cheeks.
I think Gavin is like a ready made mixed spice pouch. No matter on which meat you pour it on, it tastes like Gavin...
Great video Adam. The quality of those raw files is impressive - seem to need little edit enhancements. Kept thinking each photo was the best until the next one showed all were equally good.
man i really want to join this group of photographers.
are you sure about that, hehe
Really nice work. Your images are edited perfectly. For the most part you can’t even tell they are digital images. A lot of them resemble large format quality. 👍. Gavin better step it up if he hopes to surpass you haha 😂
