    Woo hoo! Love the haircut. Also your first root image. Beautiful and one for the wall. So pleased you are exploring places you wanted to and must be wonderful not to have to worry about bears. You never hear about ‘attack of the pine martin’, or terrifying encounters with a squirrel.

    Oh Scotland...one of my most favourite places on earth...I'm glad you still went and could take me with you! And you even have the requisite flask of whisky for your days out! Lovely images - I particularly like the last pano with the yellows and blues. Looking forward to the rest of your trip!

    I liked the compositions with the root structures by the Loch.
    Beinn Eighe is a wonderful location in good light, which I was fortunate to have in September. Great views following the trail up onto the mountain plateau.

    Boy, would I love to travel Scotland. Maybe one day. Great trip vid. Funny, you'd mention Canva. So user friendly. The water surface at 21:34 almost looks like ice.

    Wow! When you said there was a lot of potential worth sticking around at those sunken trees I was shaking my head in bewilderment, and then that first pano pops up and I absolutely love it. Great eye, great vision, great execution, but what else would we expect from you sir, well done.

    Again with the trees! Those awesome oaks in the beginning and twisty roots in the water. Inspired me to look for more trees here (New Hampshire). November/December before the snow can be a tough time to adjust to. Thanks again.

    Ahh Ancient Oaks and arsecracks ... you can't go wrong in Scotland. I spent a week with some friends up in teh Highlands pre-pandemic and it was glorious. Assynt is a lovely area! I hope to get to Torridon and the Western Isles some day!
    The shots of the roots and the blurry water were wonderful!!

    So I've now watched the whole triad of Scotland Road Trip videos today. Interesting to see the different takes you and Paul had on that old oak. I think I've seen that Glen Marnoch in one of my local wine shops. Sounds good! Love those gnarly roots at the end.

    😄Had to laugh at the not so subtle Glen Marnoch Malt "advert" also Pissed in the Head beer! I'm sure I heard that right :) I think it pays to photograph a promising scene even when conditions are poor so you can examine and think about later. In the Roots picture I liked the way the water horizon blended into the mountain background.

    Enjoy you showing the uncropped Raw file first as it allows me to think through the possible final crops. Composition remains an issue for me, so this is a bit of help.

    Good to see such a familiar loction ... shame you didn't get a chance to pop over here to Ireland ... the big old oak framed in the background with the mountain ... I have so many images of that but have yet to find one I think works .... in fact about 10 minute before watching your video I just deleted a whole batch of them .... I guess there's always next time :) Oh and I hope you popped into the Torridon Stores for a cheese scone or two ... worth the trip on their own I say :)

    Interesting how you've left one chilly, wet part of the world (Vancouver Island) for an even chillier, wetter part of the world (Scotland). I would think you could get some great landscape photos during November in, perhaps, the Canary Islands? 🌴😀

      That's a shame, the views are stunning up there. 92 was my last trip up Snowdon and I haven't been up since then. Moved to Yorkshire and now living in Valencia, Spain. I do miss the Autumn colours and trees. It's rather dry here and sparse and the light is harsh but the food is fantastic 😄. Looking forward to the rest of your videos. Have fun. Dave
