Who is this young man that sounds like Adam Gibbs? I like the new do! The new do is you! Sounds like an epic trip and I’m happy you didn’t cancel this Scotland trip! I’m happy when some of my favourite photographers get together! Thanks, Adam! Sean
Woo hoo! Love the haircut. Also your first root image. Beautiful and one for the wall. So pleased you are exploring places you wanted to and must be wonderful not to have to worry about bears. You never hear about ‘attack of the pine martin’, or terrifying encounters with a squirrel.
Oh Scotland...one of my most favourite places on earth...I'm glad you still went and could take me with you! And you even have the requisite flask of whisky for your days out! Lovely images - I particularly like the last pano with the yellows and blues. Looking forward to the rest of your trip!
Lovely images. The last one is my favorite. Thanks for sharing!!! BTW, I like your haircut. It looks good on you. I'm looking forward to your next video.
Sharing a drink?! Something humans haven't done for nearly a couple of years! I'm just starting my photography journey, and really enjoy your content. Many thanks, and all the best for 2022.
I liked the compositions with the root structures by the Loch. Beinn Eighe is a wonderful location in good light, which I was fortunate to have in September. Great views following the trail up onto the mountain plateau.
OK, so what ta hell happened to Grumpy Gray Locks? Quite the change in seeing this clean cut guy . LOL Really enjoy the photos you all are sharing from your dreary and wet Scottish adventures. Love the photos and following your journey.
SCOTLAND! All I can say. As always, lovely video and fun to see a trip again. Enjoy the yabbering. Enjoy seeing new people to follow also. Cheers, Adam!
Boy, would I love to travel Scotland. Maybe one day. Great trip vid. Funny, you'd mention Canva. So user friendly. The water surface at 21:34 almost looks like ice.
Wow! When you said there was a lot of potential worth sticking around at those sunken trees I was shaking my head in bewilderment, and then that first pano pops up and I absolutely love it. Great eye, great vision, great execution, but what else would we expect from you sir, well done.
New hair cut, Scotland, Photographing Oak Tress, Drinking Scotch , Lips n Assholes and Ramen Noodles!!! Damn you are in another dimension! Fantastic photos and vlog! Stay Safe
Ohhhh what a beautiful place! I'm kicking myself, I should have been there, if only I had more vacation time 😭. Whining... Beautiful images. Love those gnarly trees. Very inspiring. Looking forward to more shenanigans in your next video. ☺️. Thanks for always taking us along on your adventures. 👍
Again with the trees! Those awesome oaks in the beginning and twisty roots in the water. Inspired me to look for more trees here (New Hampshire). November/December before the snow can be a tough time to adjust to. Thanks again.
Rooted by Natures Pulchritude, directed by Light, manifested with magic touch and mantled with a twinkle in the eye. ; - P. Roots are a favorites too Adam. ..exalted by those tactile primordial details. Love the results.
I thought of your images from Moraine Lake when I saw that scene as well. Nice images. Looking forward to seeing the next episode of your adventures in Scotland with the others.
As usual, great composition Adam! I loved the same one that was your favorite. I can't get use to the amazing quality sharpness and resolution you achieve with the Fuji GFX with the 32-64 lens. Thx for sharing
Ahh Ancient Oaks and arsecracks ... you can't go wrong in Scotland. I spent a week with some friends up in teh Highlands pre-pandemic and it was glorious. Assynt is a lovely area! I hope to get to Torridon and the Western Isles some day! The shots of the roots and the blurry water were wonderful!!
Looking fwd to Isle of Harris video. I've spent and the entire spring and summer of 2016 there, working at Amhuinnsuidhe Castle. Amazing place! Enjoy your trip Adam
I remember watching you and your mate stood in the water shooting Aspens I think in your waders. These images were on a par seeing as though you’re in Ecosse.
Ever since coming across your channel only months ago I've been enamoured by how wonderful your photography is, so of course I will be there at the end of each video. Beautiful imagery again and now I am thirsting for a good scotch - single malt of course! Take care and be safe out there....
So I've now watched the whole triad of Scotland Road Trip videos today. Interesting to see the different takes you and Paul had on that old oak. I think I've seen that Glen Marnoch in one of my local wine shops. Sounds good! Love those gnarly roots at the end.
Great video. Absolutely love your photos of the roots in moving water. Also a favorite topic f mine that actually works with the rivers in our flat country (the Netherlands)
Ooh I love them trees in the water bud!! Right up my street! Such a shame that you didn’t get a huge amount of light though! You will have to come back lol 😂
Loved that Adam. Beautiful pictures. I need to go back to Scotland for some landscape photography. I'm from there originally but lived in Wales for 16 years. Looking forward to future videos in this series!!
Another great episode and I had a good laugh with your comment about the "steak sausages". When I was in high school I worked in a meat processing plant during the Summer and we said the same thing about hotdogs. I'm looking forward to the episode with Alister Benn.
😄Had to laugh at the not so subtle Glen Marnoch Malt "advert" also Pissed in the Head beer! I'm sure I heard that right :) I think it pays to photograph a promising scene even when conditions are poor so you can examine and think about later. In the Roots picture I liked the way the water horizon blended into the mountain background.
You have to be a little quicker with the noodle placement next time Adam. Very funny moment though; made me crack up out loud. Wonderful images as usual!
Wait a minute....you chopped your lockes!!! What the.....i was hoping you keep em!!🤣i live that last series of shots. The roots really make it. Unfortunately you and Paul sounded a bit like youd had too much single malt, so I can only like the video if I have my own wee dram. Great vid as always!!
That has to be the first time I've seen noodles advertised using a photographers bum crack (LOL). Great to see you both working together again. At least this time there's more room in the front of the van...
Enjoy you showing the uncropped Raw file first as it allows me to think through the possible final crops. Composition remains an issue for me, so this is a bit of help.
Good to see you in the old countree Adam! Sorry about the rain but you ought to be used to that from BC. Did you come across any McReekies on your travels? Word is they were looking for you, although how they knew you were in Torridon is anyone's guess.
Great start to what seems like it’s been an awesome adventure !! Hopefully Paul won’t have any more “butt” of the joke situations :-) you got some stunning shots despite the conditions !! Looking forward to the next instalments
Good to see such a familiar loction ... shame you didn't get a chance to pop over here to Ireland ... the big old oak framed in the background with the mountain ... I have so many images of that but have yet to find one I think works .... in fact about 10 minute before watching your video I just deleted a whole batch of them .... I guess there's always next time :) Oh and I hope you popped into the Torridon Stores for a cheese scone or two ... worth the trip on their own I say :)
Interesting how you've left one chilly, wet part of the world (Vancouver Island) for an even chillier, wetter part of the world (Scotland). I would think you could get some great landscape photos during November in, perhaps, the Canary Islands? 🌴😀
That's a shame, the views are stunning up there. 92 was my last trip up Snowdon and I haven't been up since then. Moved to Yorkshire and now living in Valencia, Spain. I do miss the Autumn colours and trees. It's rather dry here and sparse and the light is harsh but the food is fantastic 😄. Looking forward to the rest of your videos. Have fun. Dave

Stunning images, especially of the trees in the water.❤️📷
Woo hoo! Love the haircut. Also your first root image. Beautiful and one for the wall. So pleased you are exploring places you wanted to and must be wonderful not to have to worry about bears. You never hear about ‘attack of the pine martin’, or terrifying encounters with a squirrel.
Those red squirrels do look vicious
Oh Scotland...one of my most favourite places on earth...I'm glad you still went and could take me with you! And you even have the requisite flask of whisky for your days out! Lovely images - I particularly like the last pano with the yellows and blues. Looking forward to the rest of your trip!
Thanks, Lisa!
Beautiful moon shot while talking about sausages
Liked the second shot then saw the 3rd and 4th - you nailed it. Beats most mountain shots any day.
Beautiful. What a difference the crop on that first image made. 👍
Sunken roots are fantastic photos. A great lesson in not giving in to difficult weather.
Many thanks, and all the best for 2022.
sharing is caring.
I liked the compositions with the root structures by the Loch.
Beinn Eighe is a wonderful location in good light, which I was fortunate to have in September. Great views following the trail up onto the mountain plateau.
a landscape photographer thats keeps the photos looking natural ,very cool , not many of them around anymore
Love the video. Love the images. I always find it a little amusing when
you fly across a continent and an ocean to take pictures of trees. :)
Gorgeous shot @21:03 👍
OK, so what ta hell happened to Grumpy Gray Locks? Quite the change in seeing this clean cut guy . LOL Really enjoy the photos you all are sharing from your dreary and wet Scottish adventures. Love the photos and following your journey.
More lovely images; thanks for sharing. Enjoy Scotland!

Nice job on that tree. Love it.

Fantastic first days of the trip mate really loved that old oak tree. Beautiful images man 😀✌
Here’s to many more trips🤘🏼
@Adam Gibbs Oh Definitely mate 😀✌️
Great images, loved the second in particular
Very nice images, particularly the penultimate one of the tree roots in the water of the loch.
Wow! When you said there was a lot of potential worth sticking around at those sunken trees I was shaking my head in bewilderment, and then that first pano pops up and I absolutely love it. Great eye, great vision, great execution, but what else would we expect from you sir, well done.
Yea, I could not see it, so-so light and all; the man's photo God!
What a successful start with tremendous results of oak trees and flooded roots! Just watched it twice.
Stunning images Adam, looking forward to watching the rest of the series. That second from last image was absolutely stunning. Fantastic work.
Glad you enjoyed it
Agreed
Great images (as usual :-) )
In Scotland we call the wind you described a 'lazy wind' as it goes through you rather than around you
Two of my favorite RUclipsrs shooting in a beautiful landscape - what could be better? Also, nice haircut; looks better! Keep inspiring.
New hair cut, Scotland, Photographing Oak Tress, Drinking Scotch , Lips n Assholes and Ramen Noodles!!! Damn you are in another dimension! Fantastic photos and vlog! Stay Safe
Beautiful shots on the Loch of those roots and also the shots on insta.Really enjoyed you guys winter triping in Scotland.
Glad you enjoyed it
Stunnning !!!
Thanks Adam
Loved the two root images, stunning stuff. Welcome back to the rainy UK. (-:
Nice hair cut. 20 years younger. Love your work!
Ohhhh what a beautiful place! I'm kicking myself, I should have been there, if only I had more vacation time 😭. Whining...

Great images and cool hair cut. Gavin will be so disappointed that you cut off those luscious locks...LOL!!
Again with the trees! Those awesome oaks in the beginning and twisty roots in the water. Inspired me to look for more trees here (New Hampshire). November/December before the snow can be a tough time to adjust to. Thanks again.
Thank you! Cheers!
Aloha Mr. Gibbs and welcome back to Europe. the last image is very beautiful! ciao

Great, thanks !!!
Love the new hair cut
Great photos again Adam! Always look forward to you adventures!
I thought of your images from Moraine Lake when I saw that scene as well. Nice images. Looking forward to seeing the next episode of your adventures in Scotland with the others.
Stunning 🙏🏻
Loooove those tree root shots - especially the first one either heavy crop. It really works. 👍🦘🇦🇺
I really liked the images at the water's edge at the end of the video. I think any shots you take while in the water are your favorites.
As usual, great composition Adam! I loved the same one that was your favorite. I can't get use to the amazing quality sharpness and resolution you achieve with the Fuji GFX with the 32-64 lens. Thx for sharing
Beautiful work Adam, so visionary
Thank you! Cheers!

Great to see you buddy, it had been too long. ❤️🏴❤️
Thangkyu forshering good nice 👍
Great to see your adventures in Scotland, lots of beautiful images. Good to see hip flask drinking to keep the cold out still in vogue 😃👍🏻
Lovely photos Adam, thank you for the episode!
Looking fwd to Isle of Harris video. I've spent and the entire spring and summer of 2016 there, working at Amhuinnsuidhe Castle. Amazing place! Enjoy your trip Adam

Thank you Adam. 🇫🇷❤️🇫🇷
Stunning work Adam, nice to see you visiting Scotland
Many thanks!
Adam is back to the roots ;-)
Nice shots, thanks for sharing!
The final crop makes for a stunning composition...is what I hope you said to your barber
Hi Adam - Sounds like you folks were having fun. Loved the photos but especially the one at the end of the video.
Glad you enjoyed it
@@QuietLightPhoto - We are really hoping to finally get back to Vancouver Island this summer.
Lost the locks lol
Loved the shots on the water, beautiful and serine.
Thanks 👍
Thank you Adam for sharing this trip. Love the roots in the water.
My pleasure!

Glad you didn't cancel the plane ticket Adam!!!
Hi Just found you channel - loved the compositions and you explain everything so well. Looking forward to seeing more.
Awesome, thank you!
Great to see your back in sconny botland Adam. Love the hip flask, good idea mate.
Like the video along with the haircut
Adam, that was great! First time to see ass crack on an outing! Thought I was watching a plumbing video for a second! Great for a laugh. Thanks.
Ooh I love them trees in the water bud!! Right up my street! Such a shame that you didn’t get a huge amount of light though! You will have to come back lol 😂
Yes I will have to come back ;-)
Looking forward to following your vacation... Hard to believe you are leaving Gavin alone in your neighborhood....
wonderful video adam
Thank you Adam for your amazing photography knowledge sharing, you rock!
Loved that Adam. Beautiful pictures. I need to go back to Scotland for some landscape photography. I'm from there originally but lived in Wales for 16 years. Looking forward to future videos in this series!!

Autumn is my favorite time of year! Very nice locations you visited. Loved all of your woodland shots.
Your feeling the chill due to the thatch having been removed from your head! Great vid, can’t wait to get back to Scotland.
I likes them tree root pictures
First of off…rockin the new haircut 👍🏻. Second of off stellar content as per usual.
Beautiful shots Adam 💙
You have to be a little quicker with the noodle placement next time Adam. Very funny moment though; made me crack up out loud. Wonderful images as usual!
I've been looking forward to this, I spotted Paul's and Tom's vans in Glen Torridon, I was staying in the cottage just up the road from the bridge.
Ah right! nice spot!
@@QuietLightPhoto Great video and images, it was a wet week but hopefully you enjoyed it ok 👍
Great photo's Adam and welcome to the UK. You look younger with your trimmed hair.

Probably from Instagram? I may have run into them? We ran into quite a few photographers throughout the area, I’m not used to that 😅
@@QuietLightPhoto not Instagrammers, not even photographers that I know of. Their Facebook group has certainly been quite excited lately.
Look forward to the rest in this series Adam. Love the images from the loch shore. Not sure on the full moon shot in the van though lol 😲

At some point you'll have to show me around Ireland Darren. Question is , do you have a camper? ;-)
@@QuietLightPhoto always welcome !! I’m sure we could borrow Pauls :-)

Ha ... and now just read a few of the comments and saw lots of 'short hair' ... my god I really don't notice much do I :)
we spent a lot of time at the cafe in Torridon, wonderful folk there
Nice to see you in Europe Adam, you look very fresh with your short hair 😍
Thanks! 😃
Whiskey works wonders
Nice haircut Adam!
Thanks!

… or come up to Sweden. Not damp at all. -15 - -25 right now though! Frost galore!
Stunning photos as ever.
Have you been to Snowdonia?
I have, many, many years ago, I even walked up it in the pouring rain

Enjoy Harris! That place is Etheral. Just like Skye, with better beaches
Great vid as always Adam. Can I point out there are thousands of undamed (natural) freshwater lochs in Scotland.
I believe it’s the largest undamed fresh water loch?
I didn’t keep the long hair too long past college in the 70’s! Good show mate!
