I was at this game also. I was there to only watch Jerry Rice and see him get 1000th reception. It seem like they wanted him to get it at home the following week against the Cowboys. But the saints did play him well. He only needed 3 but only had two catches in the fourth. But the Saints surprisingly made this a game and they needed Rice to stay in the game and make that 3rd catch.
Thank you jamie for the channel and your posts .You posted alot of the Saints 49ers and do you have the 1992 version in san fran of these teams where the saints blew the lead on the road. If you don't all good either way thank you for all that you do.
17:36. Two 49ers Coordinators in which one would become arguably the greatest coach in Seahawks history. And the other would become one if not the worst coach in Bears history. At least when it comes to motivating the players in Chicago.
Terrell Owens wants to be Jerry Rice he is so jealous of Rice and he pushed that guy in the back to keep Rice from scoring on that reverse.Remember Owens was known for be disruptive and dividing locker rooms. Do you remember on Jerry Rice day Owens had 20 catches. He always say Jerry is 1 and he is 1 A
This game, Jerry Rice became the first player in NFL history to reach 1,000 receptions.
Thanks for putting this up. I was young Brit living in Baton Rouge at the time and this was my first NFL game. Great memories.
Thanks Jamie.. I see the NFL has posted their NFL Sunday ticket ad next to this as if they aren’t making enough money already 😂.
Many thanks from a 49ers fan. Didn't have this one!
Tough times for the New Orleans Saints after Jim Mora resigned. From 1997-99, the Saints failed to avoid double-digit losses.
So what you're really saying is, they didn't do "diddly-poo" after Jim left, eh?
I was at this game as a 9 year old child. I had the poster on my wall until Hurricane Katrina. This game was November 3rd, 1996.
87 baby

2:16:40 JERRY RICE WITH HIS 1,000 RECEPTION CONGRATS!
New Orleans’ first game post-Jim Mora (they had a bye week after he stepped down)
Love any SNF content!
Damn. Zellars had 315 yards coming in to this game and it LED the Saints in WEEK TEN. That's rough.

Thanks for your response hopefully you will post the game sometime. If not all good .Thanks again for your posts
Might you have the game from week 1 of the 1995 season between these 2 teams?
50:58 The Saints defensive coordinator Jim Haslett was the Saints head coach for 2000-2005.
LMAO it's games like this is the reason replay exists 🤣

Stop talking stupid. That was a good block .
No one asked
Those 49er uniforms were ugly as hell.
Seahawks fan and I disagree. 90’s Niner uniforms with white and red numbers are one of my favorites in NFL history.
@@fortynights1513You must be blind I guess you think the current Seahawks uniforms are good as well lol 🤣
