- In this video I give a brief overview of the lighting setup for this interview shot in a recent documentary I worked on with fellow Art of Documentary members, Herman and Quinn!

Interesting! As a total noob I had no idea all these lights were even necessary to get six good shots.
Honestly, it's not absolutely necessary. You can have a great looking interview with only 1 light. It is also true that you can be much more of a perfectionist with more lights. But it's more important that you get good at using less to start with 👍
How did you know it was the brightness on your monitor and not actually overexposed? 1:40
Good question! Because I had already dialed in the exposure using false colors before filming this 👍
