Then don't be in the ads in the first place, pretty simple. Most supplement endorsement contracts come with free supps if you don't believe in a particular one, don't endorse it and/or accept the money, publicity, etc. That's where the honesty would come into play.
Fast forward to a more recent Olympia competitor Kai Greene .During Kai' s 09 Olympia prep he was promiting Muscle Meds in the 5 ave gym.But whike the cameras were rolling he gagged on the carnivore powder and nearly puked. His facial expression was priceless, buy the company was not happy
First time I took Franco’s advices by ingesting Weider protein during a workout I ended up doing toilet bowl push-ups!!
I REMEMBER ROBBY ON MUSCLE DIEGEST ABOUT A GREEN -LIPPED MUSSEL SUPPLEMET FORM NEW ZEALAND THAT HE ENDORSED, AND I WAS 16 THEN AND LOTS OF PEEPS USED THAT SUPPLEMENT NOW THAT IS A VERY POPULAR SUPPLEMENT ON AN INFOR-MMERCIAL , Ialso remember Dynamic Life ESSENCE AMINOS, Talk a BOUT A sh--Y PRODUCT???
I remember when my brother was a high school phenome (in the 70's) and used Weider products that his gym sold and I remember I wanted to be kinda like him and taking the weider protein drinks (nasty) and amino acids liquid (also nasty) it was so nasty and now all of the products today are so (pretty much) so tasty ;-)
I had a girl-friend that called it chalk water. It was lumpy and hella difficult to mix.
It was actually fun believing the product ads. Bodybuilding products weren’t common in GNC stores back then. Can’t recall how I was able to get the weight gain powder and liver tabs. Ahhh, to be young and naïve again…
Yea it's all about the food as in what we shovel into our mouths but you also have to work and work right, takes both. One won't do without the other, I'm talking long term here.
Semper.Fidelis
There are other organizations you can compete in besides the IFBB, who needs them anyway?
What is Robbie holding in his left hand?
In the late 80's I used the weider protein powder. It tastes like low grade pancake powder. I guess it was a form of powdered s are oil
Judicial system is like the twighlight zone.
The real question is how many shirts, scarfs and hats is he wearing? He must save on baggage while traveling.
The real answer is: 1 long sleeve shirt, 1 t-shirt underneath, 1 scarf and 1 hat (with american flag bandana underneath). I know this because he did a photoshoot right after the podcast. He's in incredible share for being 78 and currently doing a training/posing seminar in Italy. Check the photo on his IG two days before leaving for Europe: instagram.com/p/C4wJCs2Pjzu/
Robby wears what Robby wears.. its that simple..Why worry about another mans clothing ??
@@thebodybeatdownDiTiExactly!
Mr.Robisin is a,Living Legend,Great Role Model and a Great inspiration!!!!
Piles on clothes to still look big. A lot of them do after they lose the syringe gains.
If I knew they did steroids back then I may have done them. I thought I was a hard gainer or bad genetics why I did not gain like them. But am still natural. So maybe it was for the best.
Back in 1992 I took this protein powder called Infiniti, blue box, it felt like I was on steroids.
Robby is the realist bodybuilder in the game! ✊🏾
Really?
@@nielvanderwalt1965 imo he is, because he doesn't have anyone to please... He's very honest about his experiences both positive and negative that he went through in bodybuilding including racism. So yeah, for that he's the realist.✊🏾
He's full of crap. In his last interview I saw he was lying about dosages saying they barely took anything and all types of other nonsensical stuff just like Arnold @@arpegio88
“Yes”
mega mass 2000 .....
I tried it when I came home from the military. Made me bloated.
In the 70’s I did! I took the Weider Suplemments
What about Stallone's "In Stone" products? 😅
I actually remember that issue !!! Hahaha … 👍👍😎
Awesome!
Well, Robby deserved it cause he lied to people. Promoting a product that you don't use is dissingenous. It's deceptive and disgusting. Shame on Robby!
So if robbie is so honest why he supports the Mike o Hearn being natty lie?
Robby has mental suffer mental health. He was suspended for 20 years and still was competing under the IFBB ans the weider let him won the master Olympia agaist the giant Lou Ferrignou who deserved the win in my point of view.
you kids are really hung up on what Mike does. Its a shame you dont listen to his advise ..
BOTOX AND A WIG@@thebodybeatdownDiTi
@@andrewskratt9552 good grief..ugh..again you people miss the point..
Who are you telling Mike is a lier?
At So Cal bodybuilding contests in the 70's, The MC would introduce Joe Weider and the audiences would Boo him. In the gym we would joke about the phoney weider training principles!
the great R.R. AWSOME DUDE..........
I remember I used Weider's weight gainer and got a real bad case of the sh----
Telling the truth is now considered bad behavior by the authorities.
I tried that stuff in the mid 80s when I was a teen. You needed a blender and it had no taste.
Always listen to your body now i know why i got the shits on shakes so glad i listened to my body. Good people eat more train harder or just be content with the way you look because you beautiful baby cuz i said so 😉 😊
Weirder protein I found to be very nice - good gains also. Maybe the formula changed currently but in the 2000’s no problem at all, one of my favourites actually.
The formula has changed many times since its introduction. The more we learned, the better the produt became. True for all nutritional product BTW. Including food.
I still recall buying a container of a Weider supplement , that was suppose to taste like a delicious chocolate milkshake .The supplement tasted disgusting , not anywhere like a milkshake .
I ordered the big 16, weight set years ago l never got it l called and called over and over but zero l finally figured out that Weider was sending his bodybuilders to contest and offering prizes,
I didn't listen to the vid, but did Robby promote great nutrition thru food over processed supplements and protein powders?
That is correct. Whole Foods are the foundation, while supplements are simply meant to supplement that foundation (hence the word supplements)
"He lives in the shadows!" Tom Platz aka "Quad Father"
I don't understand how he was suspended and still competing until late 90e. Even Weider let him win ovec Lou Ferrignou at the master Olympia.
He got re-instated by the IFBB, after serving a certain amount of time.
That’s awesome because I remember taking Weider protein shakes in the 70’s and I would always get diarrhea. I thought something was wrong with me. 30 years later I find out why ! What a scumbag Weider was. And Arnold just as complicit.
Yep, I fell for that crap as a teen. It made me gassier than an oil refinery; wish I’d invested all the money I spent on Weider crap into the stock market instead. I’d be retired already, lol. Live and learn …
I used to use that protein powder, brings back old memories but the taste was nasty AF
