Love the bust the way it was supposed to be! Robbie is a living legend. He is still going strong today and looks like a work of art. Awesome interview as always!
RR's story reminds me a lot of Bruce Lee's. Both RR and BL came of age in the 60s and 70s, both excelled in their respective sport/art, and both impacted the world in ways that are still being felt to this very day.
Wait, you’re telling me that Robby had no idea about what was written, lol. He most definitely read and reread the articles on himself. He was complicit in this.
@@chestnutsev7 I did exactly the same thing when reading the bodybuilding magazines, every time Robbie was featured i was always looking for that scar. In the end i thought it must be right in the cuts of his legs and well hidden.
Same. That was the first issue I ever saw, and I read it until it was confetti. Same article claimed he had a "heart attack" that turned Robby the color of mustard.
I remember reading the story in muscle and fitness where Robby was in nam. Got in a shootout with the enemy and basically put a dead body on top of his to play dead. Then the enemy walked up and stabbed him in the leg to see if he was alive. Robby had to know
Thanks for documenting Robby's story. Amazing life. He's big on glutathione but he should get new biotech LifeWave, their patch does up to 300% over 24hrs, own body's production, non invasive. Started with SEALS then Olympic teams 20 yrs ago, now they have stem cell activation, pretty amazing. God bless!
@@RegenerationBiotech thank you for the support, much appreciated! That sounds pretty awesome. Could you share a link where we can have a look at the patch? Thank you🙏
I always looked at the bodybuilders who were short like me, 5' 7.75".Yes, i squeeze in every inch i am, haha! Anyway, doesn't matter any longer, since I've been confined to a wheelchair, due to a 30' fall off a roof i was working on, July 4, 2010.
cant believe Zane beat him in overall 79 , or was it 78 Olympia, i never cared much for Zanes body, it wasnt spectacular, it didnt have that WOW factor. Sure he was ripped and proportioned but ehh, whatever. Now Robby, THAT is a body i would want to immulate, those arms , holy fuk, perfect Vtaper, perfect outer sweep of legs, incredible chest. I think Zane beat him only cause he was a tad more ripped , but Zane did not have a better body in that Olympia. At least from the pics ive seen
Give Zane credit, when he hit the stage he was at his absolute best and didn't make mistakes. He was very good at presenting himself like a champion, without the dirty tricks Arnold delighted in.
@@daveconleyportfolio5192 '77 and '78 he was great, but Mentzer should have had '79. Some people claim he lost definition in the pose-down, but the photos says otherwise. He buried Zane with the same condition.
Who cares man? Nobody that's who. We all knew Pumping Iron was a docudrama we all know you could/should have beaten Zane and Columbu but in 1975 you weren't ready for Arnold or Sergio.
At least Robbie was smart enough to not go to Vietnam and die for nothing.
Thankyou for clarifying the Vietnam story. I heard that story many years ago and thought it was true, good to get the truth from the man himself.
I appreciate the comment, that was the main goal of the podcast - tell the true story 🙏
King Robby Robinson!
King of steroids?😅
Robby was my favorite as a kid. His bicep peaks had bicep peaks
Best front double biceps ever. Thank you for the support 🙏

Robbie the real legend.
Legend of roids?😅
I've been a fan of body building and Robbie from the 70s. I am blown away by your research. Thank you, great vlog.
Thank you brother. I appreciate your support 🙏
my top dog when i was a teen bodybuilder, the true black Prince

Robby is the real GOAT in many ways and stood on what he believed. We made his merch for a little bit.
That’s awesome brother! What type of merch were you guys making for Robby?
Wait, you’re telling me that Robby had no idea about what was written, lol. He most definitely read and reread the articles on himself. He was complicit in this.
Yeah, something is off about this. Maybe Robbie made it up and is lying here
Great video spase . Excellent subject and great talk !
Thank you brother!
Well I'll be damned, I remember reading decades ago about Robbie being bayoneted in the leg and i always thought it was true.
Yeah me too I used to look for scar never seeing one. Naughty joe .

Robby thanks for your inspiration. Space, is it through that Robby is not welcome at Golds Gym nowadays?

Zane winning the Olympias was a joke. How he beat a guy like Robbie is criminal.
@@scottb.3262 How he beat Mentzer in '79 is also nonsensical.

It hurts my heart to see
how our military treats our kids and men and also how devious were the Weiders! Disgusting behavior.
In my biased opinion, i think 5'7" is a great height for bodybuilders.
7:21 With questions like that, no wonder people still vote for presidents.
Joe Weider was Hitler with a different mustache.
The Weider's were jewish
Weider was a jew, nuff said.
Peddling that old one Mr Hitler?
Exactly
That's why I've said Arnold was a coward and still is.
He was too black for Joe
Weider gave Robbie a life and career doing what he loves they benefitted each other without joe Robbie would have been picking oranges in Florida 😮
So screwing Robbie over while helping him is still okay in your book.
You sound stupid
