For me John Stewart is my favorite Green Lantern. I'd love a John Stewart solo Series.
I always thought being able to absorb "ring energy" and/or "energy constructs" should've been a property of Larfleeze's ring. He's greedy after all & believes everything is his. That would make him far more effective as a "1 man corps".

there's a few things I'd like to see: 1) Hal Jordan unmasked. who does he think he's fooling?
2) more space adventures. gl has an entire sector to patrol!
3) an answer to the question: how does earth rate 3 lanterns, when most planets have one, if any?
and 4) an older Hal Jordan returning from an extended space mission to save the bacon of the justice league as they face darksied, with backup from the gl Corp, in the dceu films.

Have you considered doing the Green Lantern/Star Trek Spectrum War crossover and/or the Green Lantern/Planet of the Apes crossover? Or even the Doctor Who/Star Trek Crossover? There's also the major IDW crossovers featuring Ghostbusters, Teenage Mutant Ninia Turtles, X-Files, etc. that would be cool to see.

this run really got me back into DC. Isnt Alkan Scott technically the first? The length that these stories were planned out ahead of time was the best part. So much build and pay off. Very reminiscent of Clairemont's Dark Phoenix Saga.

I was willing to kinda roll with Vendetti's run, but his retcon of the "Emotion Reservoir" and that all Lanterns of every color are slowly killing the universe was pretty... awful, at least to me. That and Relic didn't really add much to the lore other than a not-Galactus that wants to kill Spectrum Users.
Godhead had an interesting concept, the multi Corps vs the New Gods, even if it didn't come together in the end.
But I'm very glad to say that BOTH GL books, even the one that Vendetti's still writing, have been very good. Especially since Vendetti seems to be rolling back on some of what he did (like killing off most of the Blue Lanterns).

Alan Scott as Green Lantern wasn't tied into the regular GL mythos, he was always magic based.
Alan Scott's lantern ring is magic based and not part of the Green Corp
Well for those folks who are familiar with GL mythos, they know that Alan Scotts magic comes from the StarHeart (sentient magic collected from the Guardians across all the universe). Alan Scott was the first GL on Earth. He just got his powers from a different source. Technically the first Core member on Earth was NOT Hal Jordan, but rather Abin Sur that we know of.
Yea regardless of the excuses I see responding to you, yes Alan Scott was the first Green Lantern. It doesnt matter how his powers originated or what its tied to, chronologically, he was the first Earth based Green Lantern. Does it make it confusing? Certainly, but as comic book fans we should be able to understand the differences.
