I remember when Sinestro Corp was first hinted at ALL hell broke loose with DC fans. The hype was real and when the story arc dropped it was nothing short of epic. I still think this is DCs greatest GL story arc to date. It's that damn good.

Arisia was a regular in Guy Gardeners comic back in those days and she had healed from some injuries super-humanly in the months before she died. She had a broken back as i recall my old comics are in storage at the moment. So it might just be the author picking up the plot points left behind by old stories.

Why do people say Alan Scott is not a Green Lantern. He is THE Green Lantern. The first Green Lantern. He's not a Corps member but without Alan being created there would be no Lantern Corps. Alan has always been portrayed as powerful, The Startheart is all the Chaos Magic from the beginning of time of a universe. He's been shown to defeat 5th Dimensional Imps, control power beings like Dr. Fate shape and control space time and reality. Even the New 52 Alan Scott (who is a DIFFERENT Alan Scott) was easily the most powerful hero from that version of Earth 2.

A couple of things Rob: (A) the Phalanx really kicked off in 1994, a full decade before this. (B) This story feels way more like the idea behind the Prime Sentinels in Operation: Zero Tolerance, which again being in 1997 was *before* this. Don't Fanboy now and try to confuse people who don't know better.

doctor leak Pre-new 52 he was considered to have the strongest willpower of the corps, he managed to beat Sinestro who was considered the best GL at the time and he one of the few who conquered fear, that made him a target for Parallax, because fear itself was greedy to make the most brave soldier feel absolute fear, Hal Jordan was imune to the fear infection and only manifested gray hair, he only lost it with the destruction of Coast City.After his rebirth, Hal saved New York against Sinestro's attack and saved the world against Nekron's undead by fusing with Life, after that he saved the GL from Krona's control and he used Nekron to kill Volthoom, saving the emotional spectrum.
Its irritating for sure esp when in some situations its shown that the ring comes back to them or they still possess some of the energy even after the ring is removed.Comic books are filled with inconsistencies such as this though

I'm pretty sure the Green Lanterns are the only ones that really police the universe, the rest of the Emotional spectrum cores just do their own thing. As far as I know.
Most of the other Corps have at least one member of the Universal Sectors in their ranks, maybe two if only to match the Green Lanterns. Reds, Yellows, Indigos, and Violets aren't bound by any specific Sector unless directly ordered by their respective Corps Leader(s). They participate in outside events, but usually to further their Corps mission and/or to gain new members. Blue played support to the Greens when needed, but due to the lengthy vetting process to be a Blue Lantern, there was perhaps less than several dozen Blues before they were all killed, save for Saint Walker. They might be coming back soon tho. Larfleeze does whatever the hell he wants; if he wants to stay on his planet he stays, if he wants to go somewhere to get more stuff he does so.
