The grandfather of rock & roll

I'm my opinion, the father of rock and roll. There were other people who added to it, but he was the first. Others were Bo Diddley, Little Richard, Bill Haley, etc.

I feel so privileged to have seen him live in 1978/9. Capital Radio Jazz Festival at Alexandra Palace - he was at one stage, Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea on the other and I ran between those two stages all evening.. I was 14 and that was my first concert.

Well back in the day you were more successful as black man to look less black from 1950-1965. Then the Afro came out late late 1960's-1970's.I give this hit a 10 because I've never seen anyone handle a guitar like him. The duck walk was created by him. You can name any famous guitarist Prince, Rick James, Slash, Jimi Hendrix, and Eddie Van Hallen.Good players but Chuck Berry is on another level.
