BJJ only covers sport. All their grappling is easily countered when there is NO RULES which is the street. A person who knows how to grapple and strike who is also a weapons fighter will do everything MASTER KEN emphasizes such as gouge, groin, hair pull, scratching and most important using an object. Who the hell fights barefooted or wears a GI and gloves expecting TAPPING OUT? My experiences with gangs thugs, drugged out, violent people is they always pull a weapon, baseball bat, tire iron, knives or something hard like sticks and metallic stuff including a bag of coke cans. I got hit by those. BJJ people are sport oriented thinking you can just take someone down. If the person knows how to wrestle or does what you do with a weapon he or she will counter your BJJ with an object. You try a TRIANGLE or Kimura they will gouge you in the eyes or poke your groin or kick the groin. Biting etc are also used. GOOD LUCK relying on only Jiu jitsu ground someone who knows more than just jiu jitsu will use a weapon and counter your reliance on just ground fighting. STUPID STUPID IS BJJ ONLY people and unarmed. Smart fighters learn weapons and learn counters for any scenario especially arrogant BJJ IDIOTS. ( JKD concepts or similar is the way to go. Be like water and not fixed on a style or system. Real fighting is not sport and Brazillian street fighting unarmed. Many south asian countries and african countries people carry lots or knives or machetes in public. Try BJJ and BJJ is gonna be in the morgue

The timeless art of the oil check
I’ve found that a good thorough oil check then a fish hook is one of the most effective combinations available.
@@stuckgrenadepin.225 you can actually use a fish hooking motion to check the oil, this does takes years of practice however
@@dasmuss6174 that does work but takes precious time you might not have. Just a good second knuckle deep check then on to the fish hook is best, IME.
I'm not sure I can find a dojo which allows one to practice that dangerous tactic. Master Ken is truly on a next level!
