- i'm trying something new
Felt inspired to make a different kind of video this week. Hope you guys enjoy this one and get some value from it. Recently I've been in a little bit of a creative rut and I just wanted to share some things I do that have always seemed to help. Trying new things can seem really daunting at first, but it's amazing how it can expand your creative thought web. Thank you for watching!

That is like a 90 minute print. 15% infill and a shell of 4. Splice that thing!
Calibrate the bed and print with raft for better bed adhesion.
1. Tune retraction.
2. Your first layer is way too far.
3. Try using PrusaSlicer.
4. Don't use finest quality.
thank you!
LOVE the slower pace video. And enjoyed the vlog style
Appreciate that thank you!
Yes a lot of build plates are can bend, it makes the removal process easier or you can use a spatula looking tool to get it off.
Liked the idea of trying new things and documenting them.
By the time you are reading this you would likely to already know (considering it is three months after you posted the video), but the stringing is likely cause by retraction settings, you can look up videos on how to get rid of stringing which should help. Also, the thing on the bottom of the print is the brim, and it helps the print stick to the build plate while printing. If you have any questions on your 3d printing "journey" you can ask me.
im pretty sure that was a skirt
loved this type of content. shorts are not long enough this was perfect
@@TheFinancialDiet- you and every other Nigerian telemarketer. I mean. Scammer.
As mentioned use cura slicer, is the go to in the 3d printer community. Also the first layer is most important as if it doesn't adhere properly due to impropper levelling, bed temps etc it can cause the rest of the print to fail that is very frustrating. The stringing is due to retraction, ow and the enclosure is beneficial for keeping temps up printing abs and fumes contained. I could write a whole article longer than war and peace and still not covered everything! Enjoy watching your content, very genuine just poking about see if stuff works out 🙂
Instead of using tweezers to remove stringing go ahead and wave a lit lighter under it and it will get rid of the strings
great tip thank you!
Limiting Beliefs! I love watching Stevie's videos mostly because he's always trying new things.
Love this style of video! plz keep em coming!
@TheFinancialDiet- scam much? Copy and paste is not your friend.
Your quality is always top notch 📈

Which laptop do you use - the air or pro? How good is it?
Loving the longer videos. What state are you in that you have so much snow already?
@@TheFinancialDiet- do you guys come as a package scam?

Just as I was thinking about trying a 3-D printer. Please keep my updated on your journey of how to use and new techniques!
@@idocarrs wow so many scams
I recomend removing the stringy part by hovering a Lighter over it
I can never find the potatoe ricer in a store I’ve looked in a few stores. I know I can get it online like Amazon among other places but I can’t find it in an actual store
you know whats crazy., shorts help you gain tons of subs, but it still doesn't reflect on your long form videos.. once youtube starts paying for shorts that would be pretty nice.
Very true. I hope that RUclips can level that out a bit in the future. We will see. I like making this more raw style content honestly. It's a nice change from the fast paced shorts I make. Idk. Just wanted to try something different. Thanks for watching!
Bro you inspired me ima try a new type of content thanks for what you do and put yourself out there like that
Let’s go! Love to hear that. I sort of want to bring my content in a direction where hopefully it inspires people to try new things. It’s been the only thing for me that has gotten me out of creativity ruts and just periods of time where I don’t know what I want to do next.
Harbor freight looks like it used to be a circuit City
Likes and comments for the engagement tho. Love watching your content evolve
@@idocarrs scam alert
You should make more videos like this one

@@idocarrs yup, def the same scam comment from other legit comment. Both you and @TheFinancialDietr
You're dope bro! Thx!
Bad scams come in pairs. It's like pay per view but with scammers
Nice office
thank you!
A word of warning, a lot of files from Thingiverse and similar websites say that they are not for commercial use. You can still of course make your own files to print and sell however don't expect to be able to just print and sell anything you see online.
I mean you can but pretty soon someone is going to politely ask you to stop before getting serious if you don't (some may not even be that courteous at the start).
I absolutely think you can still make money 3D printing, I think that instead of offering premade objects you should offer 3D printing on demand. If someone gives you the file to print, I believe there is nothing wrong with printing it (not entirely sure...seek legal advice).
Great to know! I don't plan on selling any 3d printed stuff really. More so want to use the machine for prototypes and random stuff around my house.
@@StevieSells If you're learning to prototype you could try offering prototyping and printing to customers, you could use your house projects as examples to learn from. A lot of people don't want the hassle and cost of buying a printer, setting it up, making the 3D object and then babysitting the first few layers only to make a single thing with a printer left over. I'm trying to learn 3D drawing so that hopefully I can start doing the same. If you want to, you could specify that you still retain the rights to the object you designed. If it's something people will want you can sell that yourself and print it on demand.
Put glue on the print plate
Been following ur channel for a while and Idk why it seems like youtube is "shadowbanning" your content. Your legit one of the best in this genre. Putting notifications on. Keep up the great content!
Those drawers are so thin as to be useless. They're going to cause you more problems down the road
for sure lol. I'm not putting anything heavy in there. Just some paperwork and screws and stuff
Feed your kids your 3d food. Cheap Chinese plastic food prints
Did you ever consider using lipstick 💄?
@TheFinancialDiet- did you manage to get on the naughty list from the scams? #noscam4u

Life's short. I used to sit in my comfort zone a lot. Now I try new things every week. For me it helps with creativity and growth. Thank you for watching!
Go ahead and use Chinese labor like normal. You should try cyanide as a substitute for sugar and salt.
