Rachel has been one of my favorite artists since I heard her version on The Last Goodbye. And I’ve been waiting to hear her version of this song! Beautifully done!!
I had read the books for years, and yet never really understood Gollum until I heard this song. I had never pitied him for the aching loneliness he carried all the time for 500 years and the regret for the ordinary and mostly decent Hobbit he once was.
This, is one of the most soul wrenching versions of this song I have heard. It's beautifully done, from the slow funeral-dirge esq music, to the cadence and softly mourning lyrics. It is, hands down, one of the best renditions you've ever produced.
That song Rachel is truly heartbreaking. I'm so happy to can listening to your extremely deep voice in this your new great cover.❤ I'll bee always grateful to you for your amazing work. ❤
One of my favorite pieces. You did more than do justice to this song, you made a different, and equally enjoyable version that I am able to close my eyes and get lost in the music to. So well done
You pick the best songs to cover. Watching you sing is like watching & listening to an angel. If I can ever think of a song perfect for your voice, I'll be sure to mention it. I just can't think of anything at the moment, because you already pick the best songs. 😊
The musical score in these movies where wonderful they make s great addition to the actors and scenery. I think they pushed the envelope in every regard. I so enjoyed this haunting tune I played over and over. A big extended aplaude to this beautiful voice
I can't think of a single song you've done that I didn't absolutely love, but your voice lends so much power to the more haunting melodies you do. This is nothing short of perfect. Stay amazing.
If you don't sing Sally's Song I will ACTUALLY lose my mind. your voice is perfect for it. this entire cover kept me thinking of that song. pleassseeeeee
When i saw the thumbnail I went “Oh HELL YEAH!” Then I went ahead and pressed like before I heard her sing one single note because there is NO WAY this won’t be amazing!
This is THE BEST cover! Well done Rae! You are so incredible! also well done to Alex and Rebecca! and if yall havent yet! JOIN THE PATREON! DO IT! The fellowship needs you! ALSO THOSE ELF EARS ARE FREAKING AWESOME!
Once upon a time, I was very fortunate to sing in a project choir, who sang all the singing parts live + an orchestra was playing the music score live while the movie was running. The coolest project ever!!! Singing in elvish was really special 😍😍😍 Ur beautiful version of this song took me back to this wonderful time 😍😍😍 thx so much!!! Btw, the elvish ear piece is just as beautiful as u and ur voice 😍😍😍
I just finished watching the extended edition of the Lord of the Rings trilogy a few days ago! Your timing couldn't have been more perfect! Well done, Rachel! 😁
Holy smokes! You have a fantastic voice, Rachel! Such a sad yet hauntingly beautiful melody. Truly an impressive performance! IMO, Emilíana Torrini would be proud to hear you sing it so well!
Wow, haunting, and yet tragic. Awesome voice and song all the way! i'd bet that if you played this back to yourself, you had to of been amazed by the level of energy you put into this.
What a beautiful cover, I was talking about very deep topics with a friend and I found this song and it made me think in retrospect, it's incredible how music can touch people
Beautiful just beautiful, peaceful singing just flys behold the clouds of imagination love ya singing.. keep making magical memories my very favorites are books an movies from the works of JRR TOLKIEN..
Rachel's voice is softer than Emiliana Torrini, and I think it lends itself better here. If Emiliana's version was like a lamentation, Rachel's is like a eulogy. It's the difference between Gollum dying slowly vs already gone. Both valid, but I like this cover a lot.
Yet another fantastic cover, it is just hauntingly beautiful! If I say that you did the original justice, this is about the biggest compliment I could give.❤ It is so rare to see a musician who consistently delivers both vocally and emotionally!
HOLY HECK, this was genuinely amazing! Not only your wonderful voice and tone, but the choice of makeup and lighting worked together to make it all so... beautifully haunting. And the water droplets at the end tied it all together perfectly. AUGHH ITS SO GOOD

PO-TA-TOES!!!!!!!!
Heartbreaking. When this song playing at the end of The Two Towers it brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful, but so sad.
The orchestral arrangements are brilliant!
Alex killed it with the re-score!
Can these scores be listened to/downloaded/bought?
The somber charm of this song was completely lost on me when I was a kid. No longer. Beautifully done.

I felt what Gollum thinking and feeling so deep, poor creature
Gollum kill his Friend IS a criminel
@@-et7yg I still pity him :(
@@20ecupirate13 i dont see how people can pity him, he wasnt a good person. In fact he was pretty selfish, cruel and kinda evil.
@@MrFlaten92 that's why.
@@-et7yg yep, he was a horrible person, he killed most of innocent goblins, orcs and his best fishfriend. Sad for goblins
