One of the most anticipated episodes of Game of Thrones is here, and we finally have the first part of our reaction ready!
Some info about this video:
The battery in our camera quit on us a few minutes in to the episode. Fortunately two of our friends from Australia joined us for the reaction, and they had a camera as well.
This means that the footage is a little different in the beginning compared to the rest. We unfortunately also lost some of the reaction footage (the part where Melisandre lights the trench), and some blurriness occurs here and there. But hopefully all of that won’t be too noticeable.
Remember this is not a substitute for watching the actual show. If you haven't seen it, please do so and then come back to the video afterwards.

Watching this 1 month after the show finale. I haven’t rewatched anything since. Just listening to the opening song, it makes me soooooo melancholic! Never will we feel the anticipation again.
We got a little excited for this one.. so yeah, there is plenty of crying, outbursts and cursing going on 😅

Reminded me so much of Attack on Titan...

When Melisandre lit the Dothrakis arakhs and both Kat & Mel jumped, I knew this was going to be an entertaining reaction. I found the first 5 minutes of the episode tense as hell and it looks like you guys were clearly feeling it too.
Hahaha, totally! I would suddenly shout/scream/burst out in the minutes up until a couples of minutes into the war broke out. It was really really really tense!

I watched it on SkyAtlantic in UK at the same time it was broadcast in US 21:00 EST /02:00 BST and the picture quality was clear as these guys video!!!

Knew it. Only Danes and Norwegians ever seem to learn English as a second language, and speak it with such an accurate accent. I've known quite a few Danes IRL with not just near perfect generic English accents, but actual near perfect regional accents. Hell, look at Peter Schmeichel! In ten years, he was speaking with a Manchester accent. Solskjaer, too!

They sure do! I went on a rather long rant after watching this episode, about how the dire wolves really have gotten the short end of the stick through the entire series, and that it sucked Ghost now died off screen.. until we saw the promo for next week! Thank the old gods and the new! 😂

It’s actually a green screen - the picture I used was part of the very early GoT promotional material, I believe. You’ll definitely be able to find it if you look around on the web.

Guess they did it for the sake of the show, but sending cavalry in first is such a dumb idea...especially when they didn't even know where they were. Send them at the flank when the main line engages. Basically just sacrificed them for no reason.

We heard it was really dark and people had trouble seeing anything, so we turned the light up on our tv by 200% or so.
Just saying THE worst defense military strategy ever... who put's there trebuchets (wooden siege weapons) behind the first line? once the line is dead the trebuchets are useless... @ 03:06 and how useless they are at 05:34, but I loved it!

Pretty much just turned up the brightness, works on a tv as well. Played around a little bit with some other settings as well, but not much. Thanks though!
Our very good friend with the moustache is growing it for a year long movember challenge, where he is raising money for charity. Ridicules or not we are very glad he was born in this century 😉

@@KatSonny Not only that there are like a lot of holes in their plan: Artillery outside the walls, a lot of infantry without shields, lack of defense in depth, unmanned walls etc.
@@TheZombieman87 Exactly! It seems far fetched that none of the people at Winterfell knew how to plan an effective defense. But that part clearly wasn't a focus point when they wrote the episode. Which is fine, it was still very entertaining and emotional.
@@KatSonny Of course, as a battle it was amazing.
@@KatSonny Militarily it was the worst planned defense speaking on a major ground. I study historical military strategy and I had my hands on my eyes as soon as the cavalry charged without any order to that effect or even a plan. The Unsullied were not a large force and should have been meant for inner defence because of their tight formations and smaller size. Cavalry is best used in flanking attacks than full frontal, it was horrible but the producers wanted illogical show...I could go on forever like a diehard disappointed GoT fan but I am tired after so many months of rant. I avoided watching you guys react to this for a long time but today I have.
