Major, for this episode, I gathered all 3 kids and their significant others. We had dinner early, put our phones away in another room, and loaded up on GoT brews. Soooo, much fun with family after the years leading to this point. It has been a real pleasure reliving it with you.
This was potentially the worst episode of the entire series though. Even if you ignore how ridiculous it is, you still can’t see anything because of the awful day for night shit.
OMG that first charge with the Dothraki - and then all their fires slowly go out and it's just darkness.. SO SCARY!! Love your reactions 😍 feels like I'm watching it for the first time again 😊
I enjoyed The Long Night. I cherished those moments with Theon and Bran, Jorah and Dany, Arya and Mellisandre, Sansa and Tyrion!! When Bran tells him "you're a good man" I lowkey tear up ngl. The first half is too dark with irritatingly shaky and rapid camera movements, but the second half is a lot less chaotic as the action settles down. I have a lump in the throat for the entirety of the closing scene. Theon's last stand, Bran and Night King staring face to face as the "The Night King" theme plays?! That's the stuff goosebumps are made of! There's naturally some things that I would've done differently but overall I enjoyed the episode. The next episode is usually considered the weakest one. For good reason as it has that terrible second half. But on the flip side I don't dislike the finale two episodes.
I've never seen a man try to kill a chair before... 😯 Welp, guess I can cross that one off the bucket list. 😅 No prizes for guessing that this reaction is gonna become legendary in GoT history! That was THE BEST reaction I've seen, bar none, Major. Thank you. More than I can say.
Watching this the night that it came out was an experience that I've never felt before from movies or television and I'm not sure if I ever will again. The incredible zeitgeist this show had, where you knew you were experiencing something so special with millions of other people in their homes... and to me, a diehard book fan as well, I felt the episode 100% delivered in every way, regardless of what others say. Unparalleled television and I HOPE that House of the Dragon manages to top it!
Amazing reaction, truly amazing….especially the ending. We got to see “The subdued polite golf clap” followed by a very calm and softly said “Amazing Episode” …….right after a Raging Cat 5 Hurricane had just literally HIT the studio seconds earlier …Amazing .
Thank you for staying with us throughout. You never gave up. We told you that you wouldn’t regret it. The emotional roller coaster is real. Your reactions are legit. Bro, my guy, the north remembers.
I liked season 8. People complained about it, but I thought it was, while not too flashy…pretty deep and satisfying. My favorite scene in the entire series is in season 8. Don’t listen to people who tell you it ends horribly. I disagree! Maybe you will too. ❤
"I think my desk is broken...how did I even knock that off?" Ummm, probably when you wrestled your chair to the ground and beat it up! 😂LOVED the reaction Major! I'm glad you're enjoying this season even though I am not a fan of it. I'm personally gutted that Jon was not the one to face off with the Knight King. I felt his arc was leading up to that and he deserved that kill. The dialogue overall is weak, Tyrion became weak and it's just not up to par with the earlier seasons. BUT it's always a joy to see you react because you are so invested in the show. I look forward to seeing what you think of the ending and your overall thoughts :)
everyone turning on the Night King like he wasn't a single father who just wanted to take his gaggle of kids on a vacation to the south smh no respect for fathers doing their best for their children in these streets anymore Also, I think we need to give props to Bran's actor, Isaac. Because he plays monotonous so well without it being flat. Bran's detached but not dead, the actor portrayed the disconnect well
I just had all of the feelings. I'm exhausted and it looked like you were too by the end. Grand, magnificent content. You made it all brand new and I loved it
That was the dagger the man came to kill bran with. Then little finger got it..brought it back and gave it to bran and the man was used to save bran and humanity.
It’s only the very last episode that people complain about. You’re not done seeing amazing shit. All the remaining episodes except for the last ARE AMAZING. AS AMAZING AS THIS ONE. This is truly THE GREATEST THING EVER MADE.
Two things I didn’t notice till years later - dany cries over Jorahs body the same way/shot she cried over Drogo 😢 And I always wondered if Melisandre took off her necklace in season 6 ep 1 expecting to die like she does here? Like, I knew she was having a crisis of faith in the episode but I guess I kinda thought she would take off the necklace when she was alone sometimes? Or to sleep/bathe/etc? And that she obviously didn’t die in season 6:1 cuz the liars of light needed her to bring back Jon and help in this battle?
I fucking LOVE you dude! 😂👏🏼 First time watching you and you’re clearly a true fan of the show. I watched this when it first aired with several other people and I lost my fucking voice because I was yelling so much. It was chaotic here when Arya stabbed the night king. Wilder than any super bowl Sunday. lol
As I said before I love your energy. I felt the emotion. I loved this episode. I know most people disliked this season but I loved every season even this one. I can see why they made certain decisions that you'll see later. Things made sense to me. Yes, thus season had flaws but every season had some flaws as well.
People didn't get the ending they wanted, so they complained. I have some minor complaints like the dumbing down of Tyrion you noticed in the previous couple of videos but overall it's magnificent television. Enjoy the final few, looking forward to rewatching them with you
Yeah. For me, I didn't like the last three episodes of season 8 becausd they were rushed. Third one was a bit rushed as well, but the battle was just amazing, still one of my favorite episodes ever. The problem with this ep is that the White Walkers practically did nothing, they could have killed off more characters and Jon should have totally been the one who at least should have participated in Night King's death, like he would attack him or something to distract, while Arya sneaks from behind wearing the face of a White Walker or something
Amazing reaction brother. This was top teir. People's issues with the last sesson is how short it is so it feels rushed but most just sook that the faction they wanted to win didnt.
Jorah’s last words: “…still stuck in the friend-zone.” After saving Daenerys from a poisonous wine merchant, he killed a Dothraki who wanted to kill her while pregnant, he killed a Son of the Harpy standing behind her, rescued her from the Dosh khaleen widows, kidnapped a Lannister (while catching grayscale) whose brother killed her father for her to kill but she instead promoted him to Hand of the Queen (his dream job), and all he got was a few boo-hoo tears while she used him as a human shield causing his death. 😵🛡
Yikes lol sounds like he actually led a pretty meaningful and fulfilling life from your description. Sorry he didn’t get to pork this one broad tho I guess- wasted life after all 🤷♀️
I couldn't wait to see your reaction to this episode!! You made it soooo much better this time around!! And believe me when I say, there are far more and better reasons for why fans disliked these last episodes so much, and I believe you might agree at the end of it all. But we will have to see... much love again, and thanks for an amazing reaction!!
Major, you don't realise how much I enjoy watching this with you. When the first seasons hit I watched it together with my teenage son & husband and we always had such fun. By the time 8th season dropped my now grown son was living abroad and my husband had passed 😢 I watched it with such mixed emotions. Now I get to watch it with you and it's fun and healing. Thank you , cherish your precious family 🙏🏻💚
I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband. My experience is very much different, but in some ways similar. I went through an ugly divorce from an abusive husband of 20 years. One late night my oldest daughter, knowing I love fantasy and history convinced me to watch "just one episode" of GoT. It was midnight. BUT any parent of teens or young adults knows you take your moments with them when you can. We ended up watching 6 episodes that night/morning. What started with just us grew to include my other kids and eventually their now partners. It was a Sunday night ritual. Not only that, but a cultural phenomenon. I cried after the last episode. Not because of the way it ended, but because it was the end of a family event. Now my daughter is married. My son lives in another state. My youngest getting ready to leave the home. It is a joy to watch others experience what we did. It feels like family.
I'm so sorry Lola for you loss thank you for being with me on this journey I'm so thankful it helps and I can be apart of your healing thank you I'll keep you in my prayers 😊
I had a very similar experience with watching this series originally. My wife watched the first 3 seasons and finally convinced me to watch one as the lead up to season four approached. I was instantly hooked and was able to binge everything in time to watch the next 3 season with my wife. We were both in eager anticipation of season 7 when she unexpectedly died at the age of 47. Our 22 year old daughter moved back home to help me through the grieving process and we watched the remaining seasons together with a great sense of melancholy. I think it is one of the things that draws me to watching these reactions, so that I can sort of relive the times and joy I experienced watching with my wife.
Lola words will never be enough for me to convey the heartbreak after reading your story all i can say is i'll say a prayer for you and your family godbless to you all from the UK 🇬🇧
When Arya stealth killed that wight in the the throat. I always think back to Arya when she told Ned “Syrio says every swordsman should study cats, they are as light as feathers and as quiet as shadows” Point proven!
Those are some of my favorite quotes in the books. "Swift as a deer. Quiet as a shadow. Fear cuts deeper than swords. Quick as a snake. Calm as still water." I've been planning on getting "Fear cuts deeper than swords" as a tattoo for a long time but never have money for ink.
I have never been so weak at a reaction!! This was ALL of us while watching!! I literally kept screaming at you (at the TV) to LOOK LOOK right before Arya killed the Night King! I didn’t want you to miss a second of it!! GREAT reaction!!!
I literally yelled out loud too thinking he was about to miss the best part when he turned away as that one whitewalker's hair moved when Arya rushed past him. lol.
Yeah me too! When he was like "I'm not going to watch this" JUST BEFORE ARYA CAME, I nearly lost it!!! I hope he'll watch that scene again, he nearly missed it jumping around and screaming.
I always thought I didn't care for Theon as much as others did. Until the last finale when Jon telling Theon "you're a Greyjoy and you're a Stark" and then the hug Sansa and Theon share in the last episode. That is when I realize how much the character Theon had grown on me.
Bran and Theon have some surprisingly emotional moments here considering how robotic Bran has been. I think they made Bran too cold in earlier eps so nice to see him slightly Bran like. Dany and Drogon are a team. You can see how in sync they are and how intelligent Drogon really is in battle.
Bran certainly becomes less robotic over the course of the last 2 seasons, but that makes sense. Basically at the point where he becomes the 3 eyed raven he's exposed to a huge amount of information. He's overwhelmed emotionally and shuts himself off. Remember Bran isn't just seeing the past, he's getting glimpses of the future. He plans this battle so they can manoeuvre the Night King into a position where he's vulnerable. He's the one who gives Arya the dagger, he picks the position in the God's Wood etc. In doing so Bran knows he will be causing the death of tens, even hundreds of thousands of people. It takes a lot out of him. I've always thought that the reason why Bran was cold to Meera was that he wanted to make sure she wouldn't be at Winterfell, he was making sure she would live.
"We die today, brothers. We die bleeding from a hundred wounds, with arrows in our necks and spears in our guts...but our war cries will echo through eternity! They will sing about the Battle of Winterfell until the Iron Islands have slipped beneath the waves!" - Theon Greyjoy, Season 2 Episode 10
😭😭 Unbelievable. Un-f*ckin-believable. I've watched this entire series like 4 times on my own, not even counting all the reactions. It wasn't until this very moment, your comment that made me realize and remember just how accurate that old speech of Theon's would turn out to be!! How could I have not put that together before. Disappointed with myself but incredibly grateful I read this comment. Thank you for giving me THIS. Amazing
@@jamie-leighlawson7167 I love how he had time to leave, but they made him stay & run at the Night King as if that would do something. He deserved a better death.
Idc what all was flawed, this shit had me hooked. They had me at a nervous wreck from beginning to end. The moment they zoom in on Sam's shaking hands my anxiety goes through the roof. The what do we say to the god of death part, when the white walker almost gets Dany until Jorah saves her, the Arya Resident Evil part when she silently kills the wight, all that had me catching a heart attack. RIP Berric. He gets overshadowed but mans went out like Jesus. That heart wrenching feeling I get watching the Theon sendoff is all that matters to me when I watch something like this. I don't get too bent out of shape about what was unresolved and who should've been the last threat and all that. This episode had my heart pumping palms sweaty and shit. That's how I knew it was good far as I'm concerned.
@@MajorReacts have you wondered the use of Valyrian steel swords? They can kill whitewalkers. And all our major fighters have it. Brienne, Jaime, Jon, Jorah. But not a single one used it against a whitewalker in this episode.
@@connorp8408 Valyrian Steel can also kill Wights, so they used them all. And Arya's dagger was made of Valyrian Steel, and she used it to kill the Night King.
The camera cut from Sansa and Tyrion behind the wall to Jon coming out of hiding with his sword raised as the Ramin Djawadi score starts playing is cinematic gold. I always say this. The darkness throughout the episode is obviously frustrating but as someone with a little camera operating experience the shots during the climax sequence are straight eye porn.
I love the darkness. Battles like Helms Deep, you needed the light, because seeing the size of the orc army was what terrified you. In this battle, the darkness is part of the terror. The idea that there's something in that darkness that moves fast, doesn't feel pain, and is hard to kill is terrifying! The tension ramps up like crazy for me. That wall of wights coming out of the darkness makes me jump back every time. And Arya's thing in the library trying to be quiet is straight out of the walking dead!
@@mamaseesa3122 I guess it depends on the viewer. I didn't find this "darkness" terrifying at all. Not being able to see & having everything muddy plus all the plot amor took away all the tension. Why were they in the library just doing nothing? I never understood that.
@@d3l3tes00n I obviously don't have the popular opinion anyway; I love this season and how it ends. 🤷♀️ I've given up arguing about it, I'm not going to change anyone's mind lol! Agree to disagree and all that.
Your enthusiasm is unmatched. I thought you were going to destroy your chair! Fantastic reaction and that episode was incredible. My heart still pounds when I think of when I first saw it.
A second before arya jumped onto the night King I screamed at you cause you were looking away... and then you saw it. Lol I was so worried you weren't gonna watch that part.
I'm not much of a battle aficionado so I'm not that interested in the technical know hows of the different strategies and tactics of medieval siege battles that could've made this better. I'm also very mindful of theories that weren't paid off, like the Azor Ahoi angle. But from a purely sentimental perspective, this episode had me line and sinker. I'm more than lenient towards technical errors when a journey can get me this impassioned. Hats off to Alfie Allen, the range of acting he showed playing Theon is unbelievable. The music is enchanting. Ramin Djawadi's score is chef's kiss. The ambience of "the Night King slow walking through the wintery forest with the red hue of the Weirwood tree contrasting the blue hour twilight sky" is everything I had always imagined and some more.
Yeah, from a tactical angle there were so many mis-steps. You had siege weapons out there, and yet barely used them but send out Dothraki first? Why wasn't there a line of archers out there, even if they didn't have enough dragonglass-tipped arrows, they could have used fire-tipped arrows and just light them up. And, at the point to where they were pushed back all the way until they had to light that trench on fire, why wasn't there rows of archers on the wall taking out as many as they could? They were just standing there waiting. The only thing I can think of is that they didn't have enough time to prepare their defenses since Edd came and said they will be here by night time. Perhaps they thought they had more time? But yeah, that part with Theon, as much as I hated the strategy, it gets me every time. The music and the tone of everything, they did hit that part right in the feels.
@@RyoHazuki224 Thank you. That’s a pretty balanced critique, and I completely agree. There’s definitely things I would’ve done differently tactics wise. And to be fair, if we really put our history buff hat on, we can point out tactical flaws in Blackwater or Battle of the Wall too. People have different tastes. Like for example, I never thought not getting a Jon Night King fight was a big deal. If logistical accuracy is someone’s main thing, then I totally understand why they would have issues with the episode. For me, when I’m watching a TV show it’s mainly about the emotion it brings out from me. I think ASOIAF fans sometimes forget this is not an actual historical battle. At the end of the day it’s a battle against supernatural ice zombies. I've seen far worse hair-brained tactics in zombie movies and movies about Greece and Rome, with 10% the emotion.
@@SDG.12 Yeah for sure. I mean we have to also remember that in terms of historical vs cinematic battles, this one weighs heavy on the cinematic side and so they went from the start to give you a narrative structure to the battle, even though it may fly in the face of most tactical logic. They want you to feel like whatever they did to win seem hopeless, they want you to have that dread and despair up until the very end. So, from a narrative perspective it doesn't make sense to make them have a super winning strategy and then just be like "Oh... well that was easy." We as viewers have the benefit of hindsight to look at everything from an outside perspective and say "this is what I would have done differently" and also to look at the fact that you're just dealing with mostly mindless zombies, and I think as nerds we've all thought about how we would defend ourselves in a zombie apocalypse, so we all thought to apply that to the characters on screen and be like "Come on, Jon haven't you ever seen The Walking Dead??" hahah
It’s absolutely a special dayyy!! Here we go! Lmao! You had me worried, it almost looked like you were gonna miss that leap from our gurl! Condolences to the chair for that beating lolol
You don’t know how many times a lot of us said we were done with this show. It just breaks your heart that way. We’ve been there. We also felt you when Arya killed the Night King! Just wait. There’s more to come! Great reaction as always.
I never thought that. I enjoyed every episode, & never considered quiting, but my OCD keeps me from quiting. If I start watching something, I usually watch the whole thing, unless it really blows. 🤘🤪
At 54:05 some people say you can hear John yelling "Go go" as he probably sees Arya going to Bran. That's why he is standing up, so Arya can pass from Viserion.
The thing is , how can jon see her but not the NK. And how can the NK not kill her when he Is choking her ! Lol 😂 thought she would freeze or something
This show was great with stories of redemption. Theon, the Red Woman and even Jorah did terrible things, but they still did what was needed to do for the greater good.
@Zeke1379 if Robb was still alive to see what theon went through and how it changed him into an actual good person, he might actually agree with that statement
Yeah but how hilarious would it have been if Bran was like "Its useless on a cripple" but Arya insisted him have it for this battle, and he just slipped it out and killed the Night King himself just before he struck? hahah! Be like "Oh. You are here to kill me. Darn" *SHANK* hahahah
Great reaction mate. I was jumping around the same as you were when I first watched this. It's amazing how a TV show can spark so many emotions in 90 minutes.
What'll really screw with your mind is when you realize Bran gave Arya the dagger she used to kill the night's king. He knew exactly how the battle was going to play out but also knows he can't exactly go around telling people their future and risk things changing. Ya boy Bran is playing 4D chess lol
The anticipation before this was crazy tho. I remember a viral tweet from before the episode aired that said summ like "if you seeing Avengers Endgame (came out 3 days before) the first time today and watching the Battle of Winterfell tonight, you a certified Grade A Wild Boy. That’s like scheduling your wedding for the day of your father’s funeral" 😂😂. Last year Family Guy did a bunch of new GoT spoofs and there was the Long Night one where Peter says "prepare for the most epic battle of all time that nobody will see because it's too dark and we'll say it's because they have bad TV" 🤣
I remember ruining Endgame for someone who hadn’t seen it yet. We were talking about the upcoming Battle of Winterfell episode and I said “I can’t lose anymore Starks this week, not after Endgame” dude was pissed.
The most emotional draining episode of tv ever. I remember after watching this I had the biggest stress headache of my life. RIP to Ed, Theon, lady lyanna, beric, the red woman, and Jorah. I cry my eyes out when Dany and Drogon are crying over Jorah. Drogon basically wraps his tail around them. Even Drogon respected Jorah. Ugh makes me cry now. I love you major!!!! ❤️❤️
You do realize when Bran said that he brought the Night King to him. Useless? I don't think so. If you remember he has a connection with the Night King and needed to go into his trance to bring him to him so Arya could kill him.
@@kmooreusps oh no no. Bran didn't go and get the Nightking to him. Nightking knows exactly where Bran is because of his mark on Bran's arm. Bran was just sitting there and watching the show like us.
@@vishnumohandas602 Ok you are right. I just read that the writers explaination was that he worged into ravens so that he could keep tabs on the battle since he really could do nothing else but sit there at the time.
There are plenty of us, the silent majority. We just don't go around protesting & write up petitions that we enjoyed it & were quite satisfied with season 8. This episode got the 4th most "10" of "10" among all 76 GOT episodes on IMDB by voters. Only to be surpassed by The Battle of the Bastards, The Winds of Winter & The Rains of Castamere. All 3 happen to be ranked as the top 3 rated episodes among all GOT episodes. The haters made it a point to give many "1s" of "10" to this episode. The people that don't hate, usually rank this episode either the best or the second best.
The fan backlash was really born from episode 5&6, the controversial decisions D&D made when they wrapped up the series pissed people off .. The only complaints some people had about episode 3 was that it was literally to dark and poorly lit 🤷♂️, I still feel it should’ve been Jon who killed the Night King and ended the white walker threat.
@@marilia_moro Can satisfy everyone. Some say all of season 8 was bad, some say it started with season 7. Personally I thought the whole series was excellent. The creators were geniuses. It’s not Disney so there will be no fairy tale endings.
The show runners of GoT decided they didn't want a lot of "magic" in their show so they left out quite a bit about the crypts. The Kings and Lords of Winter all have swords laid across their laps in the crypt to keep "vengeful spirits within the crypt". It's possible in the real book (Winds of Winter), when it comes out, that the Lords of Winter may actually serve as protection against the vengeful spirits (the wight walkers and wights) entering the crypt. Which would make sense then that they'd go down there. I actually think it would be quite fun to see the Kings of Winter, including Ned Stark, being reanimated to fight against the Night King instead of for him.
I personally care as little about shit like what the correct geometric alignments of the zombie killing trebuchet should be as I cared about how Pyat Pree manages to kill every powerful man in the world's greatest city in under three seconds. I don't give a flying ish. The blue flame of the injured Viserion lighting up the night with Theon hacking away at the undead and the Night King gliding through the snow clad godswood just as you start to hear the first notes of the BGM is the coolest vibe ever. That's the shit I get off on. The tension escalating with every step the Night King takes towards Bran as you sense the tur climax coming is gotdamn epic. Heck ya it was awesome.
i watched a channel react to this episode just recently and that person had an even more passionate reaction than you had. they were in full breakdown mode and shit. this hits all the right emotional keys darkness notwithstanding. the tragedy of game of thrones is that its own so called "real fandom" decided the show was a failure and then backfilled everything to fit that narrative. the fact that it is the most watched live action tv show of all time with 60 emmys didn't matter because they had already stubbornly decided the author wanted something different. even tho one actually knows if that was true or if the major plot points were exactly what he had envisioned originally. if you're sufficiently uncharitable you can pick flaws in anything. i can sit here and pick apart the best season of Breaking Bad or Sopranos. but the difference is their own "real fans" didn't doom the show out of pure spite by ignoring all the good. When I watch reactions like yours and everytime they say how awesome this is, it infuriates me to no end thinking that shows who don't even deserve to be in the same stratosphere as Got are revered as masterpieces while Got is treated as the red headed stepchild. The ASOIAF cult is worse than Synder groupies and Star Wars elitists combined honestly.
I would like someone to tell me, exactly how does a wight break out of a stone tomb, and yet it couldn't break out of the wooden crate that they carried it in down to King's Landing to show Cersei....?
Honestly some minor issues aside I've come to like this way more after years of seeing all the same set of alternatives that the 200 IQs have come up with that they confidently think are so dope, but in reality most of the solutions are worse than the problems. Like I get it, if hyper realism is someone's thing that's great. Watch a docu on Napoleon. What are you doing watching a show with demon baby murders. I'm simple. I'm satisfied with having to get the tissue out for Greyjoy's last stand. This was sad and beautiful. Tbh if this episode belonged to another show they would be singing its praises from the high heavens. Well I'm glad you were so absorbed into it. This is what happens every time someone watches without letting preconceived notions dictate how to feel about it.
Imagine being Major's chair, you minding your own business, doing your job, and then Arya stabs the Night King, lol great reaction as always, let's finish this series out strong 💪🏾
Epic reaction!!! The Mormont family has some brave blood. Lord Commander, Jorah, and little Lyanna Mormont. Thank you for coming so far and I have enjoyed watching this with you. We misplace gratitude to the red women that belongs to the lord of light...lol In the end we are all used pawns of the Gods.
I watched on Patreon, but HAD TO watch you react to this episode again!!!! Arya's WHOLE JOURNEY was what got me through the heartbreaks. It looks like it helped you too
People say the episode was too dark but that was kind of the point since the fighting is at night, with the Night King manipulating the weather and surroundings. It gives you the feeling of being there and feeling the disadvantages they had.
This episode is one of the best, most emotionally draining episodes of TV I’ve seen. It took a lot of beer for me to get through it. Theon’s final redemption and death makes me cry every time I see it. Beric’s death, where he looks almost Christ-like as he’s being stabbed is such a great use of imagery. The two pieces of Ned’s sword reunited to defend his keep is completely poetic. Arya saving the Hound and then the Hound saving Arya. Drogon shielding Daenerys as she mourns Jorah. Tyrion and Sansa’s facial expressions when they realize they’re about to die. It’s all just so good. I know that people are really critical of how the episode was lit, how the battle was staged, etc. but I just really enjoyed every part of this episode and I loved watching you react to it. Also, I hope your chair isn’t broken.
I know alot of people were upset about Arya killing the night king. I thought that was the best choice. At this point in the series I felt like she needed to have a reason for her training and the red woman's predictions and berics purpose. It connected alot of plot points from earlier seasons. But so many people were mad about it not being jon. Arya is a sneaky bitch. That's how she got to the n.k. with out anyone knowing.
That’s exactly what I thought! Jon is a warrior. He’s brave af but when he goes straight at the night all the night king does is raise the dead. It had to be an assassin, it had to be Arya!
Idk how u watch and talk at the same time😂😂😂 I be having to focus when I watch a movie. The dialogue is important also, you be talking during it. Especially during battle scenes, you'll miss alot.

Amazing reaction, truly amazing….especially the ending. We got to see “The subdued polite golf clap” followed by a very calm and softly said “Amazing Episode” …….right after a Raging Cat 5 Hurricane had just literally HIT the studio seconds earlier …Amazing .
I like to imagine Ned Stark's head woke up and was trying to bite it's way out of the crypt before the Night King went down. 🙃
Ahhh yes, a battle episode, between major and his chair
Thank you for staying with us throughout. You never gave up. We told you that you wouldn’t regret it. The emotional roller coaster is real. Your reactions are legit. Bro, my guy, the north remembers.

I enjoyed your react more than my own when I saw it😂 “Let’s goooo!”❤️
I liked season 8. People complained about it, but I thought it was, while not too flashy…pretty deep and satisfying. My favorite scene in the entire series is in season 8. Don’t listen to people who tell you it ends horribly. I disagree! Maybe you will too.

I look forward to seeing what you think of the ending and your overall thoughts :)
everyone turning on the Night King like he wasn't a single father who just wanted to take his gaggle of kids on a vacation to the south smh no respect for fathers doing their best for their children in these streets anymore
Also, I think we need to give props to Bran's actor, Isaac. Because he plays monotonous so well without it being flat. Bran's detached but not dead, the actor portrayed the disconnect well
This whole video is comedy gold 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I just had all of the feelings. I'm exhausted and it looked like you were too by the end. Grand, magnificent content. You made it all brand new and I loved it
You beating tf out of your chair was hilarious!!!
First time watching you and you’re clearly a true fan of the show.
My brain def heard "fight for yo kids, fight for yo wife, fight for yo country cause they killing errbody up in here"
People didn't get the ending they wanted, so they complained.
The Night King was the blue eyes the red woman referred too.
It blows my mind how many people complain about this show or the series and I’ve seen COUNTLESS reactions just like this! Amazing!
Amazing reaction brother. This was top teir. People's issues with the last sesson is how short it is so it feels rushed but most just sook that the faction they wanted to win didnt.
Jorah’s last words: “…still stuck in the friend-zone.”
After saving Daenerys from a poisonous wine merchant, he killed a Dothraki who wanted to kill her while pregnant, he killed a Son of the Harpy standing behind her, rescued her from the Dosh khaleen widows, kidnapped a Lannister (while catching grayscale) whose brother killed her father for her to kill but she instead promoted him to Hand of the Queen (his dream job), and all he got was a few boo-hoo tears while she used him as a human shield causing his death.
But we will have to see... much love again, and thanks for an amazing reaction!!

only the main character left at the end all fighting 10000 whites lmao
When the NK rose them up with Jon right there, did you see that crazy Thenn right beside him?

Major, you don't realise how much I enjoy watching this with you. When the first seasons hit I watched it together with my teenage son & husband and we always had such fun.
By the time 8th season dropped my now grown son was living abroad and my husband had passed 😢 I watched it with such mixed emotions.
Now I get to watch it with you and it's fun and healing. Thank you , cherish your precious family 🙏🏻💚
Oh my gosh I'm so sorry for your loss. That's just horrible. I can understand the mixed emotions. My prayers will be with you today
"Theon, you're a good man."

I'm not ashamed to say it here but I was literally sobbing during Theon and Jorah's deaths
Theon being accepted by Bran and being told that he is a good man right before he dies, is THE MOST HEARTBREAKING SCENE ever
When Arya stealth killed that wight in the the throat. I always think back to Arya when she told Ned “Syrio says every swordsman should study cats, they are as light as feathers and as quiet as shadows”
Point proven!
Exactly 👏🏾
Those are some of my favorite quotes in the books. "Swift as a deer. Quiet as a shadow. Fear cuts deeper than swords. Quick as a snake. Calm as still water." I've been planning on getting "Fear cuts deeper than swords" as a tattoo for a long time but never have money for ink.

I literally yelled out loud too thinking he was about to miss the best part when he turned away as that one whitewalker's hair moved when Arya rushed past him. lol.
@@Caliab omg same!!! That’s how you knew her little ass was coming!! That part is so good!

@@jamie-leighlawson7167 I love how he had time to leave, but they made him stay & run at the Night King as if that would do something. He deserved a better death.
Absolutely
Idc what all was flawed, this shit had me hooked. They had me at a nervous wreck from beginning to end. The moment they zoom in on Sam's shaking hands my anxiety goes through the roof. The what do we say to the god of death part, when the white walker almost gets Dany until Jorah saves her, the Arya Resident Evil part when she silently kills the wight, all that had me catching a heart attack. RIP Berric. He gets overshadowed but mans went out like Jesus. That heart wrenching feeling I get watching the Theon sendoff is all that matters to me when I watch something like this.
Best thing to come out of this episode was the score.
@@mamaseesa3122 I guess it depends on the viewer. I didn't find this "darkness" terrifying at all. Not being able to see & having everything muddy plus all the plot amor took away all the tension.

Samesies.
I was screaming "no, look, no look, keep looking...." from the point the night king started walking towards bran haha
I think he might have missed one of the White Walker's hair blowing slightly, indicating that Arya ran past.
My only issue wit this episode is that we never got Jon vs the night king that fight would’ve been the fight of the whole show
I'm not much of a battle aficionado so I'm not that interested in the technical know hows of the different strategies and tactics of medieval siege battles that could've made this better.
@@RyoHazuki224 Yep well said friend. Fully agreed.

Atually, the next 3 are the worst
The fan backlash was really born from episode 5&6, the controversial decisions D&D made when they wrapped up the series pissed people off ..
The only complaints some people had about episode 3 was that it was literally to dark and poorly lit 🤷♂️, I still feel it should’ve been Jon who killed the Night King and ended the white walker threat.
Me either I think the people who read the books first were expecting something else. I read the books after.
🤣🤣🤣 Stop callin him that dude from the Brotherhood , he's my man Beric Dondarrion!!!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I personally care as little about shit like what the correct geometric alignments of the zombie killing trebuchet should be as I cared about how Pyat Pree manages to kill every powerful man in the world's greatest city in under three seconds. The blue flame of the injured Viserion lighting up the night with Theon hacking away at the undead and the Night King gliding through the snow clad godswood just as you start to hear the first notes of the BGM is the coolest vibe ever. i watched a channel react to this episode just recently and that person had an even more passionate reaction than you had. they were in full breakdown mode and shit. this hits all the right emotional keys darkness notwithstanding. the tragedy of game of thrones is that its own so called "real fandom" decided the show was a failure and then backfilled everything to fit that narrative. the fact that it is the most watched live action tv show of all time with 60 emmys didn't matter because they had already stubbornly decided the author wanted something different. even tho one actually knows if that was true or if the major plot points were exactly what he had envisioned originally. if you're sufficiently uncharitable you can pick flaws in anything. i can sit here and pick apart the best season of Breaking Bad or Sopranos. but the difference is their own "real fans" didn't doom the show out of pure spite by ignoring all the good.
This was the single best reaction I have EVER seen, EVER. Watching this entire series with you has been a real joy, thank you man.

It makes me smile thinking how proud NED would be seeing Arya standing in the Godswood with Bran after their victory
And thus the greatest threat to humanity, hyped for 8 seasons and 8 years, lasts one night and doesn't even get beyond Winterfell lmao.
I watched on Patreon, but HAD TO watch you react to this episode again!!!! Arya's WHOLE JOURNEY was what got me through the heartbreaks. It looks like it helped you too
Me too lol
People say the episode was too dark but that was kind of the point since the fighting is at night, with the Night King manipulating the weather and surroundings. It gives you the feeling of being there and feeling the disadvantages they had.
We don't talk about the faults in the story because you're still on the journey.
I agree 💯. Arya definitely was the better choice imo to kill the NK. John killing him would've been so predictable.
That’s exactly what I thought! Jon is a warrior. He’s brave af but when he goes straight at the night all the night king does is raise the dead. It had to be an assassin, it had to be Arya!
LIT, LIT, LIT!!! This was the one I knew you were gonna go ballistic and you did NOT let me down. This reaction was LIT!!!
Love you having your likkle parties with the red cups and the mixing in the daddy's glass
Major INSTANTLY recognized Arya's connection with the NK (''What do we say to the God of Death? Not today.'')
Idk how u watch and talk at the same time😂😂😂 I be having to focus when I watch a movie. The dialogue is important also, you be talking during it. Especially during battle scenes, you'll miss alot.
