Tommen had the most subversive death ever. The whole show is about all these families commiting all types of murder and violence to get to the Iron Throne and the man who's sitting on it couldn't wait to give up. Crushed by the pressure. Brilliant! Reminds me of the old saying "heavy is the head that wears the crown".
Well observed, thanks!
There practicaly isn't a death on GOT that is NOT subversive.
In a sense. that fits for every King sitting the Throne in the show. Robert and Joffrey enjoyed the status and the power, but they never did the real job of a King. Ruling the Kingdom
@@hansoerteras3983 Robert? Not so much. A depressed and adulterous drunk pining for his lost love and enduring a political marriage with no less than frikkin Cersei.
@@SerbAtheist True, Robert not as much. He seemed to enjoy the advantages of Kingship, drinking and whoring and no one with more authority to tell him anything. Only a King, one who doesn´t give a shit about ruling, can live this kind of Life.
But he said early on he´d prefer the Life of a sellword, only Joffrey prevents him from doing so. Probably hot air, but it shows that he wasn´t very happy with his role. Joffreys Idea of beeing King was simply he can do what he wants without consequences, which showed to be not true. None of the 3 ever ruled the Kingdom. When i think about it, no King in the show ever really ruled, except maybe Balon Greyjoy.
Tommen wasn’t Joffrey, he wasn’t diabolical. And he loved Marjory. Him and myrcella escaped the craziness incest can cause 💔 he was weak, but he was good.
@HOPE and PEACE agreed- I think had he went on he would have turned against his mother and eventually Marjory as well… perhaps he would have been a “mad king” as he aged? 🤔 but as he was, he was gentle- the cat jumping on the bed scene taught us that
Some might say he was weak *because* he was so good.
@@Blasto2x for sure! He had almost TOO much empathy to be king.
But I have to keep thinking- it’s game of thrones 😂 I don’t think the good in him could have lasted forever….
Yeah, he was weak in a lot of ways... but he was a freaking kid. He's pretty much what you should expect from someone in his position. The fact that he managed to stay at least a descent human being in the position he was put in actually says a lot. I think he actually deserved a lot of credit, all things considered.
He was weak and ignorant. Those types of people reign always end up very negatively, not bc of them, but bc evil people always take over and control these types of weaklings and they are too weak to matter.
Remember last episode Cersei spoke about a "rumour"...the mad king had these barrels all over to destroy king's landing. Also, the music shift in this episode was amazing
At some point in the show, maybe when Jamie was in the baths with BrieAnne, he mentions he told Cersei the story about the mad King and the wildfire but she didn’t believe him. I guess she finally had Kyburn (spelling?) check it out.
27:30 - Cercei is probably partly in shock, but she was waiting for this moment for years, after the prophecy that all 3 of her children will die. Maybe she is partly relieved, because waiting for a tragedy is almost as painful than tragedy itself. Anticipation kills the soul.
I think at this point she knew it was inevitable after 2 of them went. I still was painful for her but I think she had resigned herself to the fact that Tommen was going to die
Well said!...🤘😁
*Both of you, lol..."
"...Gold shall be their crowns,
Gold their shrouds..."
...Gotta love a well, set-up, prophecy that actually pays off in a satisfying way. 🤘😎
Yes well said! I came here to say the same. She 100% expected it, because she fully believes in the witch’s prophecy and has since Joffrey’s death. It wasn’t that she wasn’t upset, but it was not surprising to her at this point. She didn’t say he belonged there as in he should have been at the sept when it exploded, rather, his final resting place should be with the rest of his family.
One of the best episodes of GOT. There’s so many but this one stands out for sure.
literally so excited
Out of the back 4 season maybe lol
Second half of this was good the beginning was real bad
the best it only goes down from here
@@BenJover 6x10 is the best got episode by far and season 6 is the best season by far
I think Cersei's reaction to Tommen's death seemed cold and emotionless because she is so dead inside at this point. Plus she kind of already knew deep down that it was coming. The witch from her youth told her she'd have three children, "gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds."
She bombed her own city so she wouldn't face justice... it's fair to say she doesn't care about anyone but herself right now.
Her heart is officially dead now. Lord help the seven kingdoms.
She says later he betrayed her. The suicide that is I believe she refers to.
@@Lisa_LouWho It's pretty common for people to feel that way when a loved one dies by suicide.
@@meghanmonroe I know all too well 🥹
S6 Episode 9 "Battle of the bastards" amazing, epic, dramatic.
S6 Episode 10 " Hold my beer"
Nah this episode has some good moments but is the definition of not game of thrones
@@Cream-2128 there's always one.
@@TheWindcrow what that actually pays attention to context? It was crappy writing with no context for half this episode.
@@Cream-2128 ya.... she didn't just play the game of thrones. "You either win, or you die" Do we not remember season 1? I guess when we only focus on the last few seasons the rest mean nothing sigh. I will wait for you to rewrite this show in the meantime.
@@TheWindcrow lmao she didn’t play anything the whole set up for this was idiotic and bad writing from the start with Margarey and Loras arrests. The reach would’ve taken Kings landing the moment that happened let alone let them keep them. Also when she does this Jamie has the army somewhere else and they’re literally at war with every major house. She also assassinated the head of her own house which would cause bad blood. The Tyrells have by far the largest army in Westeros, then you have Dorne all right there literally at war with the Lannisters. Seasons 5 and 6 sacrificed plot to make Ramsay and Cersei villains that we didn’t need.
Ramin Djwaldi always hits with the score!!! I'm so excited he's coming back for House of the Dragon!
As soon as the score started in this episode I knew something crazy was coming.
Light of the seven is an amazing piece.
Ramin Djawadi.
Say what you want about Cersei but she really is one of the best characters in the show
She was amazing and my favorite villain then they did nothing good with her in season 7 and especially 8, so disappointing in my opinion and disrespectful to Lena
And don't forget my personal FAVOURITE, KING JOFFREY!!!! Show some respect on that little man😂😂👑👑🩷🩷🩷
For me personally this was my most favorite episode. The story telling, music , drama, shock value. I give this episode a 10 out of 10 for sheer goosebumps the first time I watched it.
It reminded me of those other threads on previous seasons, like the mutilation of Theon, where we're watching something that just doesn't sit right for us for several episodes to characters that I actually believed deserved it. But the more and more it happened the more I wished for that character's mercy. And it even came to the point where I asked myself, why is the show showing me this? Then Ramsey asks Theon to shave him, and Theon doesn't slit his throat. So for half a season I was basically watching how to build a slave, and I must say, I've never experienced an emotional payoff like that or when cersei blew everyone up in any other show or film. I'd say that I enjoyed this episode more, because I never thought that I'd actually root for cersei after the end of episode one.
It's not my favourite but you are right about how good this episode was....I literally was expecting nothing after botb and then this episode just kicked off like this with one of the best scenes ever shown in game of thrones and then it just carried on strong....and a special mention to the music.... absolutely fantastic
This ain’t just music lol. That score from the start Light of the Seven is probably one of the best I’ve ever heard. Matter of fact ep.10 all the scores were just perfect
To me this is the best episode in the show, the music, the story, the acting, it has everything
As far as the wildfire goes.. In the previous episode, when Tommen banned trial by combat, Qyburn whispered in Cersei's ear about "that old rumor turned out to be true". It was a hint @ the rumor of the Mad King storing loads of it underneath the city. That was their last resort.
That smirk and her drinking the wine is one of my favorite things from this show. Dont fuck with Cersi.
Yes 🍷
its the Beyonce Wind machine shot with it for me 😂😂
When Tyrion kneels for Dany 41:13 it so significant. The last ruler to demand that he kneel was Joffery who was literally screaming at him during his wedding feast-*and Tyrion refused* . That he is willing to show respect and serve her demonstrates how much he believes in her. He wouldn't humble himself for someone who isn't deserving-that scene brings a tear to my eye.
This. When I first saw that scene I didn’t start crying until he knelt, I couldn’t believe it.
She still was never deserving of such loyalty.
If you remember the scene with Jamie and Brienne discussing in the bath the mad king's killing, Jamie tells about how the mad king had several caches of wildfire all under the city to burn it up. He actually namedrops the Scepter of Balor as one of these caches. (so that's how the barrels of wildfire ended up there.)
Cersei is a fantastic villain. Your love for the library touched my soul
So glad you are finally here. My favorite episode. Epic. Can't wait to see your reaction to part 2 of this
The music during the Sept of Baelor scene was haunting and beautiful. It really made the scene one of the most memorable of the show.
Cersei Felt betrayed by Tommen because her trial by combat was coming up, but he outlawed it before the trial. In turn, making her vulnerable to more humiliation, punishments, etc.
27:00 cercei only truly loved her kids. shes saying tommen belongs resting alongside his family (marcella and geofferty are buried in the cept). Now shes completely hardened. a heart if ice. ALL of her children are gone. She has nothing to care for or to lose anymore.....
Cerci simply meant as any parent, that he belongs with the rest of his family who’ve passed, just happens that place no longer exists thanks to cerci and her wildfire. So… she wants him burned and placed where it once stood to symbolically be with them. Whole scene was basically showing the irony of the situation and how cerci essentially caused his death
Lovely interaction between Dany and Tyrion, everything about that scene said we're friends. Tyrion didn't even think about standing up when she slowly entered the room, Dany sitting beside him on the cold steps, both voices low and soft, giving Tyrion respect when naming him by standing on the floor so they were both the same height. After all the mocking he's endured by people in power this was a lovely scene.
I think it’s possible Sansa knew she had Littlefinger in her pocket but I figured she was hesitant to ask a favor from him. In her defense, she did ask Jon not to play into Ramsey’s game. In a way, Sansa beat Ramsey by using his tactics against him. He saw Jon had less men, and he played all his cards thinking he had the upper hand. Then Sansa came with the Vail and blind-sided Ramsey’s army. It would have been nice if it could have been a plan that Jon and Sansa could work out together. But in a way, by using the element of surprise, Sansa was able to use what she learned to beat Ramsey at his own game.
The High Sparrow fucked around and found out. I love this episode.
The sad part about Queen Margaery’s death was that she figured out what was going on and tried to escape the sept but the High sparrow was being arrogant as ever and kept Margaery and everyone else in the room where eventually they all died. Margaery died because of the High Sparrow’s stupidity in the end.
The only ones I wanted out of the sept were the Tyrells only because Margaery didn’t deserve to die like that, she just lied for her brother to protect him and I think all she was doing this season was to save him and Olenna. I think her plan was to get her family(and maybe Tommen) out of King’s Landing and just allow Cersei to kill the sparrows herself maybe. I think that was her plan.
And Loras didn’t deserve that death either because he was only guilty of being himself.
And Mace didn’t deserve to die either because he truly loved his kids and seemed visibly upset when Loras was confessing and he even tried to stop his mutilation. And when Kevan Lannister was dragging Mace out of the sept before it blew up you saw that he didn’t want to leave because he wanted to make sure his kids were safe and wanted to die with them.
To be fair, even if she'd been let out of the sept, the explosion was so large that she would've been overtaken anyway. She would've needed a much longer headstart.
@@meghanmonroe Legit. By the time she understood, she only could have survived by not showing up.
I felt so sorry for Margaery. She knew something was up and tried to tell the High Sparrow, effectively going: "fuck the trail, we need to leave!" However, the High Sparrow, suffering from premature celebration syndrome, ignored it until it was too late. I'll never forget Margarey looking at him going: congratulations, you've killed us.
Cerseis revenge got me just as excited! I loved every second. “Shame” “Shame”
Cersei's reaction to Tommen's death reminds me of the line from Titus Andronicus, "What fool has added water to the sea, or brought another torch to burning Troy? For my grief was already at its height before you came, and now like Nilus, overflows all bounds." Her emotions just broke from then on and all she could feel was hatred.
The wild fire been there since at least the mad King, he had it placed everywhere, hence why Jaime killed him; as he yelled" burn them all."
Tommen went out the window, now you know why it’s called King’s Landing
I see what you did there Randy
@@MajorReacts yes lol it’s so funny and obviously Tommen flew head over heels for her lol
Don’t forget that funeral pyres were very common for a long time. So burning the body by fire isn’t cruel.
The choice of music is great precisely because it's so strange. It's not the typical style of music used in this show. So even if you're not consciously aware of it, you feel in your gut that something is different about this episode.
For all that Cersei claims to love her children more than anything, she was not there for her youngest and _last child_ when it really counted. She was too busy revelling in her revenge to consider how it might affect him.
The reason Cersei seems cold about her son dying is because that was the final confirmation on her curse. She was supposed to birth 3 golden hair kids and they are to all die.
Agreed, and to some extent I felt burying his ashes at the sept was her way of saying even keeping him out the explosion couldn't save him from that destiny
ive been waiting for your reaction for DAYS ! This is one of my fav. Episodes. The Beginning is just flaweless. The Music makes it even better
Oh Major, you’re still a sweet summers child after all this time. But Sir Gregor wasn’t breaking her fingers. He was having his way with her 😢
Wait what 😳
@@MajorReacts Main way to shame a religious person like her. She’s basically like a nun. Plus we know what he did to Elia before killing her.
@@MajorReacts It was pretty obvious, especially the way Cersei alluded to “shame.” Nothing is shameful about having your fingers broken lol
@a.j.1819 I thought he was breaking fingers too, simply because she was already screaming like she was in pain as Cersei closed the door, but the mountain was just standing next to her. I have no doubt he was also going to force himself on her, but he couldn't have already been doing that as Cersei left.
@@fernglade he wasn’t. She was screaming at the thought of what was about to happen.
Fun fact the soundtrack at the start of the episode is called "The light of the seven" by Ramin djwardi who created most of the music for GOT one of the best soundtracks ever made. and it was the first time Piano was introduced as an instrument in the series, those of us hardcore fans knew that and we're watching the episode for the 1st time KNEW something huge is about to happen due to this fact. Pretty epic episode. and another fun fact I'm friends with Lena Headey aka Cersei Lannister and she is the most incredible human you can ever hope to know and as you can tell a PHENOMENAL actress, not sure if you know her from the movie 300 as the queen as well among other brilliant work.
thank you for this awesome reaction major.
It's interesting how evil characters are so often played by the most wonderful and kindhearted people. Jack Gleeson AKA Joffery also seems awesome.
The King is Back, All Hail King Major!
Damn...Loras had to go through all that then get blown up anyways.
Whether Jon had known about Baelish or not, Ramsey would stilll have baited him into early action using Rickon. Their plan had already been to lure Ramsey to them and it failed because Jon got emotional, not because they didnt know about Sansa's army. That part of it all would not have changed and had nothing to do with Sansa. It worked out better that she saved a playable card for all the emotional bullshit to be over with or she might have lost her army along with Jon's when he ran forward and forced his own men to abandon their original plan because Ramsey played with him... which by the way, Sansa warned him he would do and he dismissed her. Can you blame her for not wanting to give away all her secrets at that point. Kinda seems like he wont take her seriously either way.
Furthermore, the advantage that the Knights of the Vale had was their horses. Ramsey had horses too, which would have neutralized the advantage of the Knights. It is only because the Knights were held back that Ramsey freely committed his own cavalry early in the battle-- and then rained his own arrows down on his own cavalry. Until Ramsey sacrificed his own cavalry, the Knights of the Vale could not have had their overwhelming impact. Sansa learns from the people she has been imprisoned by over the years. She's learned from Cersei, she's learned from Baelish, and she's learned from Ramsey. She had to let Ramsey spring his trap, whatever that was, before she could spring her own. Jon would never have agreed to the tactic because it wasn't forthright and honorable (not in regards to Ramsey but in regards to his own men he would be sacrificing). And they would have lost. She had to hope that Jon could hold his own until Ramsey sprang whatever trap he had. There was some risk in the timing, but much must be risked in war.
yeah, agree 100%..I feel like if Jon had listened to her, or at least didn't dismissed her like she was talking b.s she might have confided in him about her plan, but because she saw he didn't cared she kept close to her chest, wich to me was the right move; Jon was always going to fall in Ramsay's trap because of who he was, I find it amusing that when he's talking about the strategy he says in a very confident way, that when he challenged Ramsay he wanted to see him lose his temper and sort of test him, when in reality Ramsay was the one that had him all figured out in a single conversation, by that brief exchange he knew how to toy with Jon, how easy it would be
Finally…people on RUclips who finally got that Jon lost the BoB and Sansa bailed him out. Sansa may have come off as cold by dismissing Rickon but the truth is, she knew Ramsey. She knew how is head worked and that’s why the Starks are back in Winterfell. Sansa was looking at reality whilst Jon had hope.
After watching the Patreon, This is truly one of the best GOT reactions I have ever seen!
29:02 This feels like that scene in _Beauty and the Beast_ when he shows her the library!
By far, the best reactions I've ever seen on RUclips. Your energy, humor and insight is unmatched.
Before Tommen stepped out the window, the scene is just silence as he takes his crown off and puts it where it will be found. I feel it was a message to Cersi... She could have it because he was done with her.
"Jon, a raven came from the citadel, a white raven. Winter is Here". What I been saying?! You saw the sexual tension on that roof?! The way they looked at each other? OH YEA IT'S HAPPENING!!😩 The Kings of Winter are back and only this marriage can truly secure the North. But knowing what we now know about Jon, this will be the REAL coming together of Ice and Fire. This was the best of times for the Jonsa fan theories and thinkpieces lol! I remember one of the biggest GoT related channels Alt Shift X did a "Will Sansa marry Jon Snow" video essay😌. Damn got me nostalgic for those Jonsa fanfic videos😭. Jonsa is love. Jonsa is life.
I truly don’t know where all this chemistry is people see with Jon and anyone on GOT. It has to be that he’s just attractive. Cause Jon has one facial expression - worried puppy. Even having sex with Ygritte he looks indifferent.
@@realSimoneCherie Haha I mostly agree with you. I felt the same way about his scenes with Ygritte. That's always been a thing about him wasn't it. People say he's a bit too wooden. I guess the "too handsome for emotions" syndrome lol. But the few scenes with Kit and Sophie are the only exceptions. That's my story and I'm sticking to it 😤
I don’t know if you noticed, but the Hand of the Queen is the correct shape but is SILVER, while the Hand of the King is GOLD.
On the opposite spectrum of the Jon Sansa rooftop scene is the Godswood scene. People have been asking Baelish "what do you want" since S1 and Baelish has been answering "Everything, dear. Everything." since S1. This was as close to seeing the inner Baelish as it will get. That conversation seemed to lay down the foundation for a power struggle in the North between Zombie Jonathan Targ and Dark Phoenix Sansa. That was a big speculation going into next season and the trailers played heavily into it.
This episode was like watching a movie I am so looking forward to this
He said tommand looking fly lol
Just to clarify, she's having Tommen's ashes put in the Sept of Baelor ruins, because that's where his grandfather, bother and sister were buried. But she's denying him a funeral because he basically chose his wife/faith over her.
"So did her father; so did her mother" at your direction lady. You were the one who told them to do it. This is the crime boss telling his guys to rob someplace and then when they charge him he's like "those guys were the ones stealing though!"
I think the main reason why Sansa didn't discuss the troop movements with Jon was because she really didn't want to rely on little finger and left it until the last minute, when it came clear to her they wouldn't be able to handle it by themselves.
While I think that everything you said about not wanting to rely on little finger if at all possible is 100% true, I think the MAIN reason (apart from good TV drama) was to keep an ace in the hole after Ramsey played all his cards. The knight calvery wouldn't have been as effective had they showed up at the very start of the fight. But by Sansa springing her trap after Ramsey sprung his, she was able to completely blindside them.
It's a super risky plan, but probably the best thing she could have done given Jon was frankly going to run blindly into the fight anyways.
Took me bout a week, but I finally caught up to your reactions. Lovin' em.
I love the innocence of you saying “he’s probably breaking her fingers!” with such glee lol you are such a lovely person ❤️ I know others have already explained what he was probably doing so I don’t need to say, but I wanted to say you’re just charming Major 🥰 also your Patreon is set up very well and your editing is very well done and makes the episode flow, where most other channels it feels very choppy, we’ll done sir!

I think Cersei kinda hardened herself because she knew all her kids was going to die, it was foretold by the lady in the woods when she was a kid. I think she didn't 100% believe it at first but by this point almost everything the woman told her came true. Also, did you notice this is the first time Tyrion took a knee for someone?
so good to see you back, hope all is well, can't wait to see this reaction
King's Landing has a new meaning after this episode 😂
Damn it, I didn't want to laugh at that. 😂
Best music ever for an episode!! So excited to watch your reaction 😍
Sucks when you have to block out the music (of course we know you have to), because it’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL. After I watched this episode for the first time, I immediately went online to find a video of the orchestra playing it. Everything about this intro is stunning.
I don’t get why people don’t feel too saddened that Tommen died. Granted he was weak but he still was a good person and had a pure heart of gold, no different from his sister Myrcella or Shireen. And people pitied those deaths right? So why pity Shireen and Myrcella’s deaths but not Tommen’s at all when he was just like those characters? Or eerily similar to them.
It's difficult to keep his innocence and youth in perspective after his consistent bad decisions this season. Also, just in this episode alone, there are so many deaths...he just kinda adds to the body count. I don't have enough emotion to spare lol But in hindsight, it's totally a drag. He was a victim, and a child on top of it all.
Tommen could have been a great king if he had better guidance. But with Tywin dead and Margery in prison, he was too easy to manipulate.
So much happens in this episode. I was celebrating Cersei's revenge, but it was a shame Margery had to go. I feel like she had a plan in the works and wanted to see what she was up to. I also thought it was cool in the Citadel, the big chandelier in the center of the room looks like the sun in the intro sequence of every episode, kinda highlighting that the massive collection of knowledge is the center of everything.
Not sure why you're still blaming Sansa for Jon's mistakes. Jon was the one who decided to bring a giant into a battle and didn't bother to create a strategy to use that giant (giving him huge logs or stones to throw from a distance for example). And Jon is the one who decided to completely scrap the battle plans by riding out into the middle of the field by himself... which forced his cavalry to enter into the battle unexpectedly and ride into the hell of Ramsey's trap. Jon was warned by Sansa that Rickon was doomed and that Ramsey would be setting a trap for Jon. Jon didn't listen... and many men died.
However, there could have been less casualties,. It’s just bad writing.
I think they both made bad choices. Jon certainly for the things that you mentioned, but why didn’t Sansa tell Jon that the Vale would show up? He definitely could have delayed the attack until they were closer, and he was lucky that they weren’t a few minutes later, as Jon’s entire army could have been wiped out
@@dmidkif I don't think she knew they were coming. We never saw her receive a scroll. And in her talk with Jon the night before the battle, she certainly wasn't acting like someone who knew she had an army coming. She was pleading with Jon to watch out for Ramsey, and she was scared to death. Her last words to him were that she was not going back there alive. That's not how someone speaks when they know they have a pocketful of aces.
@@NovaLena22 I’m pretty sure she did know, given that she apologized to Jon about not telling him.
@@dmidkif I thought about that. But it's not really conclusive. She could have meant that regretted not telling him before she sent the Raven to Baelish. Undoubtedly if she had told him then, it most certainly would have been a game changer. They would have at least had more time to devise a serious plan. But her apology does not indicate that she knew the army was on the way. And the fact that she did tell him that she was sorry, and also told him that she considered him a Stark (not to mention future episodes where she defends him) tells me that she was not being deceptive in any way. The most you can really accuse her of is being is overly cautious.
haha I love watching these.
Thank you so much for breaking this episode up! It's so much better this way!
IMO this is the #1 best episode in GOT series.
I used to get Loras and lancel confused. Could be twins lol🙄
Why Sansa didn't tell Jon about the Vale:
Look at when the Vale arrived. They were only used when the battle was more or less lost. Why? She didn't want to be indebted to Littlefinger. She didn't want anything to do with him if she could help it.
You said they lost many men because she didn't tell Jon. Those men died because Jon was a poor commander. Instead of returning to his army, he rode into the opposing army, solo. Forcing his army to scrap their entire strategy, give up their advantage and charge to protect him. How many died because of his rash actions?
Seeing the battle was lost, Sansa swallowed what pride she had and sent for Littlefinger against her better judgement but Jon left her no other option. She knew the control Littlefinger would have over them but she did what had to be done.
While I agree that she didn't want to be indept to Little Finger, I actually think withholding the knights until later in the battle was a strategic move. A risky one to be sure, but one which gave them the upperhand. The Vale were so sucessful because Ramsey forces were completely blindsided by them. Had they showed up earlier, their charge would have been less sucessful. Jon falling into Ramsey trap allowed Ramsey to fall into hers.
Maybe I'm giving Sanssa a bit too much credit, but I just think she was able to anticipate both Jon and Ramseys moves and acted accordingly. She predicted Jon would screw things up quite frankly, and had to compensate.
@@noelbernabe8704 I think it was strategic, but not for the battle. She wanted it to be her victory, not Jon's.
@@Sinewmire It was never about Sansa wanting it to be "her victory," ya'll literally made this up in your head to demonize her.
Ya'll straight up _ignore_ Jon's terrible leadership in this episode, to place the blame on Sansa for a scenario we know literally _nothing_ about. You focus on what Littlefingers troops _might_ have been able to do, instead of focusing on the _actual_ issue, which is the battle plan Jon _abandoned_ to try and rescue a dead man walking (Rickon).
Instead of trying to invent reasons why Sansa is to blame for all these losses, let's talk about _Jon_ abandoning his battle plan and how him _not_ losing control of his emotions and running recklessly into battle could've saved all those lost lives you guys keep putting on Sansa.
Of course, _that_ would involve actually _blaming_ Jon for something, and ya'll can never do that, best to blame Sansa instead, even when it makes zero sense to do so.
@@roseofthegarden_ except I never did any of that. I just said Sansa wanted it to be her victory, not Jon's. She undermines him at every turn, and she's probably not wrong to. Jon is a good man, and an idiot.
Even if Jon had followed his plan and the battle had gone well, the same thing would have happened.
Why else wouldn't Sansa have told Jon about the Knights of Arryn? If there was even a chance they could show up, she should have told him.
I actually really like Sansa, I just wish the writers had been better - the reason Sansa didn't tell Jon is that it made for more dramatic TV, and they probably didn't even notice that Sansa was constantly undermining Jon.

This is the first time we've ever heard pianno in the game of thrones soundtrack. The pianno is a relatively modern instrument and this represents the start of a new age
Imagine being the one who had to light the candles in the wildfire.
Remember season 5 episode 10 after her walk of shame when the mountain was carrying her and the guy that resurrected the mountain told her: “By the way your grace. That stuff you were asking about? There’s more. There’s a lot more.” And you said, “What did he mean by that!?” That’s what he meant
Ooh this is the one I've been praying for you for!!! You made it. Can't wait, as I haven't even started watching!!!!!! Good luck ‼️‼️
Yes Major, I was waiting for this reaction. This is my favourite GoT episode, the first 20 minutes were just amazing. Cersei finally got her vengeance. And what a dish of revenge that was. All season we’ve been wondering how Cersei was gonna get out of this mess. And boy, she really showed them that a Lannister ALWAYS pays their debts, Tywin would be proud! I feel bad for your girl Margaery, but she moved too slow against Cersei, she of all people knew who she was dealing with. She had to have known Cersei would do something to get out of the trial. But she realised too late.
As for Tommen, Cersei didn’t seem as upset as she should have because as much as she tried to protect him, she knew all her children would die before her, the witch told her that in the Season 5 flashback. So she had already kind of expected it. But what a way to go. Like you said he must have been so fed up in this role, and he knew he could never escape the clutches of his mother. Killing himself was the first decision he ever made as King….and the last!
With regards to the books, we don’t know. Tommen is still alive and kicking, the Sparrows are still in power, and we have no idea what is going to happen
I think Cersei acts the way she did because it fits the narcissist personality traits she has. She's mad because that wasn't how it was supposed to play out. He ruined her perfect revenge and took her winning pride. Sure she was always worried about the prophecy but she still wouldn't expect his death to be a result from something she had a hand in directly. If she lets herself accept that guilt/blame or to feel that pain that comes, she couldn't continue to be the Cersei she is. It would be a form of weakness. He also caused shame to her by choosing to end it like that.
The music piece that plays at the beginning and during this episode is my favorite from the entire show. It's called Light of the Seven.
One of the things that came out of this is the most important reasons for the separation of church and state.
The North Remembers.
someone said house sparrow put on his best potato sack for the occasion
Can’t wait for part 2! I hope it posts soon😊. It’s been so fun rewatching GoT with you. Your excitement is contagious and helps us all remember how we felt on our first watch. You catch so many little things that I missed on my first viewing and figured out stuff that totally surprised me. I’m always surprised that your sub count isn’t tens of thousands higher. Hopefully it will be in near future!
One of the BEST episodes!!!
Fun Fact: the Library of Alexandria was mostly filled with copies of books, scrolls, and manuscripts so roughly 90% of what was burned probably was elsewhere so we didn't lose much knowledge.
Remember that feeling you felt when cersei killed all those people by blowing up the sept. Remember how disgusted you feel. Cersei burned so many civilians when she blew up the sept
Been waiting months for you to get to this epic episode!!!!! Glad you liked it!!
This is definitely my favorite episode of the entire show!!
Omgggggggg. Please drop part 2 today!!! Sending love to you major ❤️❤️❤️
Te best fucking episode ,i love tour reacción major Jeep going
Major, did you notice that the thingy out of metal hoops that is hanging under the sealing of the Citadel is the same "contraption" that we see in every opening of GOT? In the opening it got emblems of different houses.
40:00 That's your Queen, fam!
There are so many things I want to say about this episode. But all I’ll say is the music at the beginning made it clear this episode would be different.
Tommen's death gives new meaning to the city name, "King's Landing". :)
Qyburns finest moment, that speech
In my opinion, Sansa asked help from Baelish, with a raven, but she never got an answer back, because the whole timing of this was literally "a last minute thing". That's why the Vale was late to arrive. If she had received an answer back, then Jon Snow would have known they can't hide ravens arriving that easily. Apart from that, asking help from Baelish, guarantees nothing. Sansa knew this. She gambled on this yes, hoping his love for Cat would make him play her game, but can you know for a 100% certainty that Baelish will deliver ? You never can, we all know what a snake he is and Sansa did too. It was more like a desperate move, but one she had to take as she had nothing to lose at that point. A risk and a gamble, but hopefully it payed off.
So while she did ask for help, she never knew if the help would arrive for sure, hence it would only complicate things further if they actually "depended" on this army to arrive and then it never arrived. Its in fact better that they didn't know, because they had to do their plans with what they had and be realistic about things. You can't rely on a Gandalf falling from the sky. The Vale army had a good possibility to either arrive too late to matter (after the war was over), or simply never come to help in the first place.
It did arrive and they did win, but that was never a certainty... Don't take things for granted, especially on anything that concerns Baelish. Just my two cents.
The Mad King stashed caches of wildfire all over kings Landing when he was going to take down the city.It was a stash sought out by the little birds and the "rumor" that Qyburn was referring to as i think it was just rumored to be there.Possibly because its hard to believe someone would be that mad to place caches of wildfire under a city, plus its so evil!
The music in this episode was amazing, it really made you feel the tone.
I’ve also just started watching, and i’m a couple episodes in and it’s so good.
Alot of people seem to miss this, in an earlier episode Tommen tells Cersei "I should have pulled the sept down on top of all of them" He gave Cersei the idea, he thinks the whole thing is his fault, not only cause he didnt act, but because he unknowingly birthed the plan. It wasnt too much after Tommen said he should have pulled the sept on top of them that Cersei asked Qyburn about the rumor of the wild fire, the timeline matches.
That's why it's called Kings Landing 🤣🤣
"They look hungry. They look like they about to get some money!" 🤣 Yeah, make the little people desperate enough and no title can keep you safe.
This episode has one of my favorite songs from the whole show!! I think its called Light of The Seven? Badass song leading up to the whole church blowing up
