Golf 6 R - Front disk and Pads & VVti gear

The Vw Golf R always seems to be fitted with an upgraded previous generation Golf Gti engine or the current Gen Audi s3 engine. Common wear issues are the clucking sound from the vvti gear some people say it's the oil viscosity however once the wear occurs most times it's simply a worn gear. It is not advisable to drive this way as it may cause the valve to bend if the vvti camshaft locking pin snaps off. This car also has one of the largest disks in its category at 345mm so they are pricy but only need to be done once in a while.
