The Australian Companies quickly learned that the news reporting three dead bodies found (or not found) near a broken down vehicle was bad advertising for those vehicles….
From Costa Rica.. If I get to hit the Lotto... I swear I will buy some land on your beautiful country, and two beasts... One with your name on it. How about that?
You guys are so lucky with the GVM-stuff there. In South Africa we need a truck licence for anything over 3500kg combined weight. But we don't have any restrictions on modifications like suspension lifts and wheel offsets and emmisions etc..
That's not much, it used to be 4500 in nz think its higher now. Just not sure how the 6x6 would go on a light vehicle as here for trucks atleast you need a class 4 heavy truck license for anything over 2 axles.
@@benmac7315 yep.. there's a local company that does 6x6 conversions here, and they get re-classed as light duty trucks. Into the new category that goes up to 16000kg( so the driver needs a licennce for that class)
Ok now to answer some questions regarding the build of this vehicle I can safely say as the owner of this 6x6 Supertourer comments that degrade or put into question the concept that Justin and Jmacx have done are by people who cannot see why this was built and WHY I built it. Firstly from the first time I saw the Black truck at Eastern Creek and spent time talking to Sarah ideas came and went as to how such a vehicle can be justified and why I would or could improve on it. Having a normal 4x4 loaded to Gvm I can say that this 6x6 allows me the freedom to safely do what we want how we want plus the ability to extend its usage by raising the gvm without having to buy a 7 tonne truck or a 3500kg 23ft caravan and be limited in its use plus parked in the driveway not being used. Then I saw the mega tourer. It is out of my price range but not out of my concept as to what we wanted. I must say that Justin's sales team headed up by Michael Kane with all there help they have for engineering have delivered a vehicle that ticks all the boxes we asked for. For its GVM of 4495kg it does what we want and allows us to tow a camper as Justin states in the video we can put our own camper on the tray and have taken it through the Simpson Desert and not had one issue. Eventually I shall increase the GVM to 6.3 tonnes so we can mount our camper to the tray permanently and then safely tow a boat or toy hauler as we do an extended lap of Australia and stay well within GVM/GCM limits. AS Justin states we get stopped, stared at and asked questions about it and to say we used less fuel over the Simpson desert than 200 series cruisers that were on our tag along tour. So for one very happy and satisfied customer of PCOR Supertourer products if you like the concept the freedom it gives you plus the satisfaction of knowing it will get you there Go for it.
WOW! First off, EXCELLENT beard. I wish I was 25 years younger, I would fly to Australia from Canada to sweep your floors for a can of corned beef and a dozen eggs a day and learn everything you know about what your doing with these vehicles. I absolutely love what your doing there. Top notch.

sick build but i wanna see one with an extended cab to make room for adults in the back with possibly two bucketseats and a centre console.
I’ve seen some cab modifications from companies in UAE that chop the back of the 79 and extend the cab by request.
