What I really like about your reviews is your honesty when it comes to the shortcomings of each vehicle, I'm never left wondering about the cons of each platform, I find that refreshing. Thanks
Hi Justin and the whole patriot campers team. I would like to challenge you guys to do/build a PCOR build for the land rover defender puma model which we all know is a global 4wd icon. I'm sure you and the PCOR team are more than up to this task thank you. Kenneth charagu from Kenya, East Africa.
I enjoy all of your posts and love the work you do.The only thing I would like to see is the turn key prices of your trucks even if it is for the standard versions

Hey guys great vid and car! My family will be hopefully touring soon so its good to see LC200 in a build, So whats the damage for the beast in the Vid? Cheers
@@benjamin-rn5zn fair enough but the hilux does sell more than rangers so don't think being cheaper is a reason. Also they do more Toyota builds than anything else so why not some Hilux builds.
You guys need to do a silverado or ram I don't see the point to chop up a 200 spend 50k on top when you get rig all ready with the gross towing capacity
Crazy how much of a nanny state Australia is, every time I hear Justin mention it I cringe, hell my rig in my pic would be so illegal, but it's legal here, been to Moab.
I thought the definition difference between a "ute" and a "pickup/truck" was that the ute was build on a "car" chassis and trucks had a separate bed vs an open "ute" back end of a body (bed being part of the vehicle body or so close to the body line that it's aesthetically part of the body like in the case of the Falcon). Thus you could argue that the biggest ute could be the regrettable Chevrolet Avalanche. But you could never call the Falcon ute, a pickup truck, any more than you could the El Camino. I therefore think calling the Holden Colorado a "ute" is and insult to the Commodore...
I'd love to see you guys do an F-series Supertourer. Preferably an F-350, properly rated (5.2t), but knowing you guys would do it for the guys with light vehicle licenses, F-250 would do, lol
Hey mate just curious, if 33 inch tyres are the largest tyre you're allowed to fit on a landcruiser in Australia, would that mean a few of the boys from 4wd action running 35 inch tyres would be completely illegal? cheers.
It’s not quite as simple as that, different states have different laws regarding vehicle lift. There’s a maximum that you can go without have the vehicle inspected and approved by an engineer that then usually a larger number that you can go to if you get the car inspected. For example here in Tasmania you can have 50mm of lift without getting it inspected (Lift is not just the suspension and body lift but also include tyre sizes being bigger than stock) and then 150mm if you can have it inspected. But the laws change state to state and you can never tell whether they’re legal without checking the inspection plate that if engineered will be screwed in typically next to the identification plate in the engine bay. But realistically the vast majority of people do big lift and big tyres without engineering and will never get pulled over. As long as you’re not stupid with how you do it and you put on flares that cover you’re tyres etc, you shouldn’t have a problem.
Would like to see something more unique really test the limits every man and his dog has a modified ranger cruiser ect love to see an under dog ute done like a tata or a mahindra
@@bosstowndynamics5488 most definitely not mate, currently I've got ADR Compliant Tuff 5 poster bars on 2 work hilux's, and a BSF on my cruiser, without them most people up bush would be screwed some nights I might hit 8 roos at an average on the highway they just jump in front of you, yes if you make one yourself and its as big as a truck's then you're screwed same as any other bar that's not been tested whether plastic or 5 post steel. Make sure you know what you're talking about before posting.
I get it, most people don't have the balls to move from a Patrol, Cruiser or twin cab ute brigade but I dumped my unreliable 200 series TD for a JK Rubicon in 2014 and it's been the most capable 4x4 and most reliable I've had in many years of owning Patrols and Cruisers with over 110,000ks of trouble free and awesome four wheel driving. I heard all the same rubbish but thought a Jeep couldn't be worse than the 200 series so gave it a go. @@ksksnordsh5413

Give me a couple of years... 👌
It’s s great to see how you have refined your products over the years.
Man that bull bar integrated with side steps or rock sliders is so sick :p
Fingers crossed for a Hilux and Tundra Supertourer
@Jaxon GAENSLER i totally agree with you the tundra is not available with gasoline just like the nissan patrol
Much love from US Green Berets. I would have loved this truck in some of the places I’ve been. You know “while touring” lol.
Masterpiece! Well done
It looks awesome but dont have spare 80k plus for new car and not another 40k for upgrades. i can just dream i suppose.

Will we ever see a Toyota Hilux supertourer? Hope so
Being the most sold 4x4 you'd think they would have done something. It's not like everyone can afford a 79series or 200 series.
Lawrence Proctor they did the ford ranger instead of the Toyota hilux since they always do Toyota, and cause it’s less expensive then the hilux.
@@benjamin-rn5zn fair enough but the hilux does sell more than rangers so don't think being cheaper is a reason. Also they do more Toyota builds than anything else so why not some Hilux builds.
