taps and dies i might have used like 2 times in my life, I'm just not that good with that type of stuff, I usually mess things up pretty bad. now I do own two torque wrenches
I use mine pretty frequently, even if it's just to clean up an existing thread. But, the secret to getting good with threading stuff is the same as almost anything else... practice, practice, practice. I won't claim to be good, but I get by. Occasionally a novel use comes up, like my "Transmission Oil Fill Through The Drain Plug" video. I couldn't have done it without tapping threads. I think I have 5 torque wrenches. 🤣They need their own video which I may some day actually get to making.
