It's worth mentioning that it also jumps to the actual focus point, regardless of its position (center or side of the frame). A very useful and ergonomic feature
@@IddoGenuth you zoomed in on the “ok” button on “play back mode” I wondered if it could be done in “Live View” before taking the shot. I’ve now found that you can, by following your steps, but going to “Live View” instead of “Play Back”
Wow coolpix A that takes us back - we loved this little camera years ago when we reviewed it - I am not sure you can with it looking at the camera, to be honest...
Sorry to hear that - like the Nikon D7000 comment below I am guessing that there are some models (possibly the older or lower end ones that can't do that).
@@LensVid I have a D810, D750 and a D700 as well. There is nothing wrong with old DSLRs, the 12mp sensors of this era are stunning. Colours are unmatched with todays cameras.
@@scott-wright We worked with Nikon DSLRs before moving to Sony. I can never see myself ever going back. Recently I had to use a Nikon DSLR for a few min - it felt like using a bike after driving a Ferri. The AF system is completely outdated and the lack of an EVF is unacceptable. Not to mention no real video capabilities.
@@LensVid oh 100%. For professional work I’d recommend mirrorless. The Z9 is a beast as well that I’ve had a go with. I’m merely a hobbyist, I don’t need an EVF and all bells and whistles for what I do.

Appreciate your illustration. It was really handy and your presentation was really useful and helpful
I haven’t got my D7500 with me at the moment to try, but can you set it for live view, so you can check for sharpness before taking the shot? Cheers
I am not sure I follow. What are you asking exactly and how it is related to the topic of the video?

Thank you so much 👍
DX sensor Coolpix A - cannot find it. Ideas?

thanks for your valuable video which solved my problem
Just got the D3400 I’m new to this but o do t have custom setting how can I get the custom setting
Not sure if the D3400 can do this (Nikon tend to have some limitations on the D3XXX and D5XXX series cameras).
This was exactly what i was looking for but it does not seem to work on D5300. Thank anyway!!

Thanks so much!!!
thanks, but does not work across all nikons - D7000 can't do this.
Sorry to hear that - I guess it changed in the D7100 and above.
Brilliant thank you.
Doesn't work on the D750 either.....
I used to own a D750 and it certainly does work on that camera.
D7000 doesnt have this
A shame I cant do this on my D90
Well, maybe it's time to retire the camera (it was announced in 2008 and discontinued almost a decade ago...).
