    Lol the guy literally single handedly remove the bolt with a 1/2 ratchet, this is more than optimistic.

    Correction at 3:34. To remove the crankshaft bolt (in the real world) you will need a 4ft breaker bar with two people applying very high force.

      @chris002able 6 лет назад

      Yup, that bolt is put in with over 300ft/lbs

      Its easy to do. I do it on my own with a flex end long ratchet.

      Меня тоже умиляет невероятная легкость откручивания в этих учебных фильмах👩‍🔧. Кстати, можно выполнить замену цепей практически без всех специнструментов,которые здесь показаны.

    Thanks for your detailed explanation. This information, especially the installation of the exhaust camshaft, helped me with the repair. ( 2.0TFSI 211hp)

    Good tips, but this EA888 engine in Europe has dual injection, one in the port, and another one directly in the cylinder. The USA versions do NOT have this crucial feature that eliminates the carbon build-up on the intake valves that severely plagues VAG's DI engines. This along with other cost saving details, such as the cheap plastic oil pan, (which severely leaks over time as it expends and contracts at a different rate that the block) does prove that we Americans are once again getting a lesser product than our European counterparts. (However, I would like to get my hands on that T10170A dial gauge extender.)

      MyEyesBled I never knew the USA version had so many short comings

    what the mean is camshaft pos. sensor circ.,range / performance

    • @christopherwilson6527
      @christopherwilson6527 5 лет назад

      It means the ecu is not reading the camshaft position in the know range. For example if it sees the crank at tdc but the cam at the wrong place, it knows its “out of range”. Might be nothing wrong with the sensor, its just reporting it not positioning where it should be. Possible slipped/stretch chain or belt. May be wiring issue but usually its an open or short fault reported

    My experience with a tsi engine so far:
    After 5000km this engine- when running iddle -started shaking.
    Engine misfires - according to VAG that is a normal behaviour for the TSI engines.
    ( Why the engine didn't have that problem the first 5000 km, remains a mystery.
    Probably that wasn't normal ! ).
    So expect this to happen at any time.
    My collegues car ( french make, also direct-injection petrol engine) which cost half the price,
    runs smoother. She makes fun of me, but in Germany they call this "Vorsprung durch Technik".

      FuzZ360DUBS i just because a “special tool” exists doesn’t mean you need it. I’d actually suggest having a special tool handy makes the job much easier and less apt to breaking things. Yeah, a Chevy Cruze won’t have any special tools, but the turbo and pistons will blow up at 50k miles. Lol.
