Beautiful work. I had a badly chipped front tooth which aspen dental did a horrible job fixing and not even 6 months later it is chipping away. Tried to get them to just look at it and was told it would be a 100 , I left hurt and damaged....so glad to see there are dentist who care about their clients and provide quality professional care. It looks like who ever this patient is will need a lot more work done if they don’t start brushing better . They have a bunch of white spots on there teeth . My dentist prescribed me fluoride toothpaste to get rid of the white spots that will eventually cuz a cavity. That’s what I was told anyway & since I’ve been using the fluoride toothpaste the white spot on my tooth is a lot smaller so it does work .

Amazing. Are all dentist capable of such fine detail? I had such cavity but the filing I got was of a different shade and it looks a little obvious when I look at the mirror. About a year later the sides of the filling actually had some dark lines.
@GHGC That could be a marginal microleakage trapping stain between the filling and tooth due to poor bonding or insufficient uv light curing. You might want to consult a dentist for the aesthetic matter.

Sometimes the Dr. will put too much composite down and not have sufficient blue light to polymerize the composite which creates the microleakeages he is talking about. I would also check out with your dentist for both esthetic concerns and health of the tooth. An insuffiecent seal of the tooth and composite can leave the tooth extra susceptible to bacteria and cavities. Of course there are a plethora of possible reasons though, it is just reccomned to check up for your health
To be honest, I quite disagree with the extensive caries removal. Here in the Netherlands caries is only removed when in dentine and cavitated. By removing these little white leasions no effect is made while natural enamel is lost. Also enamel lasts way longer than composite so the site increases even more every time. Also if dentine caries is covered up properly it stops as no water or nutrients can feed the bacteria. That is why nowadays studies prove caries should be removed only when neceserry.

This is a cavitated lesion into dentine. A white spot enamel lesion only effects the enamel and they are left. It is also not true to say you can just cover up infected dentine and the tooth decay doesn't continue.
@@user-su1bi8xx9d Bacteria need beside a shelter place also water and food. There is no way it can get it if the cavity is fully sealed with clean edges. This is something that is taught in dental school. Removing everything is outdated and unnecessary as our understanding in cariology broadens.
@@ruubvanhulst thats not true. You are actually more at risk of dental sepsis and pulp involvement by trapping infected dentine in a tooth. There is food for the bacteria (they metabolise the tooth and release enzymes and acids to break down the proteins in the dentine). You are correct you can do that in enamel as its just mineral but as soon as you are in dentine you need to remove infected tissue rather than just patch over it. FYI I'm a qualified dentist. There are treatments such as Ozone treatments which are incredibly expensive and impractical (you essentially inflate a balloon of ozone around the tooth and leave it for a week to kill the bacteria and then infiltrate the infected/affected tissue with resin to reharden/seal it. But they're largely experimental treatments. Again, you can't simply leave infected tissue in a tooth and expect it not to continue progressing unfortunately. I get your idea, but it doesn't work because there are substrates available for the caries to continue. So you either have to kill or remove the bacteria first
@@DrArkhedeLeon No worries about how i look at my dentist since I gave him the boot. Well "respected" dentist but Overpriced, rushed through every repair and fucked up 3 of my teeth. One of which got infected 3 times after a root canal he did 3 times on the same tooth (In total 18 days of pure agonizing pain and even fentanyl could not soothe the pain) He refused to remove the tooth when i begged him to, even though the tooth nearly killed me. The infection spread to my head and my chest and I had to go to the hospital to get the tooth removed and be put on antibiotic shots and IV drip for 6 days. It is possible that my Blood-Brain Barrier is damaged forever after the infection. I'm still looking for a new dentist.
@@HG-fw8hn i am so sorry to hear that! my grandpa went through the same thing - he had such a large abscess in his jaw that when he walked into a clinic that wasn't his usual, the dentist literally said "jesus why didn't you let him in earlier??" when the ladies up front didn't really care what was going on i am fortunate enough to have a dentist that is both really personable and amazing at what he does. he managed to put composite bonding on my four top front teeth that look like __veneers__ and i have never been happier with my smile. i really hope you find a new dentist soon. if you just so happen to live in the peoria il area, i really recommend family dental care of east peoria. i'm not sponsored to say this, i just really think they're amazing at what they do. stay strong

hello! i have watched 3 of your videos on fixing the front teeth, which im experiencing right now is this on "kissing caries" i do brush my teeth 3 times a day but i noticed that my two front teeth has plack on the back, i didn't want to go to a dentist because haha im scared but seeing this made me think that i should check it to a dentist. The cavity on my two front teeth are small and keeps getting more foods on it. My Mom told me that it was my fault too. i really like eating sweets as kid and always not listening to my mom on brushing my teeth, so here i am.. having tooth decay. PS. You're so amazing Doc. It's just so sad that last May I was able to go to a dentist to have a tooth cleaning and tooth restoration but I felt like my dentist just do it with a rush because the tooth cleaning and tooth restoration of my 4 tooth just took for about half an hour and I paid him fairly.

I don't trust my dentist lol, it takes them about 3-5 minutes to fill a cavity its more the wait time than the actual process. The doctor did a filling for a cavity on my front tooth and it it bonded to my other tooth, I can't floss, and the filling color doesn't even combine with my actual teeth color.
I srs want my teeth done by him😭 he is so skilled and follow every right procedures, he checks thoroughly and always makes sure and he always delivers the best results😭😭 I just go my tooth filled and my dentist probably didn't even do those checking stuffs and disinfections cause I ended up growing cavity under the filling😭

Use black light. It is what i use in some of the video i posted.. there is a big difference in fluorescence between teeth and composit

Unfortunately I have this kind exact kind of cavity too. And I'm only 15, my sister has too. I wanna get it filled properly so that it will still look natural and I'm planning to get veneers once I turned 18 or 20.
This type of cavity is one of my worst fears. But, the end result is amazing!

You're so amazing Doc. It's just so sad that last May I was able to go to a dentist to have a tooth cleaning and tooth restoration but I felt like my dentist just do it with a rush because the tooth cleaning and tooth restoration of my 4 tooth just took for about half an hour and I paid him fairly.

My dentist did none of this for my filling when i had it worked on. Literally gave me a temp filling they both fell out 2 weeks later

Awesome channel and videos. You are a true professional. I have one question, for teeth with badly eroded enamel, what compund is best to use to coat the teeth with too replace the eroded enamel? Are veneers maybe a better option?

in my country if you go to the dentist or to a doctor to check if your teeth are good or your health and your body are doing great you will get rejected they are gonna say just go back home you're doing fine we have severe cases to deal with 😞 (true story happend to me)

I don't trust my dentist lol, it takes them about 3-5 minutes to fill a cavity its more the wait time than the actual process. The doctor did a filling for a cavity on my front tooth and it it bonded to my other tooth, I can't floss, and the filling color doesn't even combine with my actual teeth color.
I srs want my teeth done by him😭 he is so skilled and follow every right procedures, he checks thoroughly and always makes sure and he always delivers the best results😭😭 I just go my tooth filled and my dentist probably didn't even do those checking stuffs and disinfections cause I ended up growing cavity under the filling😭
