Japan has many beat em ups that you have to try: Captain Commando Crisis Beat Gear Fighter Dendoh Hokuto no Ken / Fist of the North Star Panzer Bandit Tenchi o Kurau II / Warriors of Fate Zeiramzone
My very first ps1 game that I got was Fantastic Four lol I also had Ninja and Jackie Chan: Stuntmaster as well. My favorite beat em up of all time is Fighting Force 1...played at at my friends house growing up!
I had a hard time going from 2d side scrolling beat um ups to 3d poligonal games. Evan today i always end up playing more old games than new. Am i crazy?
Being more familiar with the 16 bit offers, I'm like a GOOD Batman Forever game!? 😂 I had a demo to that Ninja game and always meant to dive into it more. Yes on the Xena yell! 😂 I'd give that one a try.
I own some of these games and honestly i struggle to get into them now. I just find the controls so clunky. Those dated visuals really dont help either.
@@BigRetroShow They do but even back then i wasnt totally convinced. I stuck mostly to the 2D titles, with the exception here and there. I really didnt fully embrace 3D action games till the ps2 rolled around 😅
I think fighting force deserves a place on your list. I played it recently and it still holds up well. Also if you've never played tai-fu Wrath Of The Tiger it's a great game en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T%27ai_Fu:_Wrath_of_the_Tiger
Which console is the undisputed KING of beat em ups?

Fighting Force 1 is so great.
How did the original fighting force not get mentioned here? That's criminal. 😅
Love that game. More or less saw that as a beat em up

I feel the same lol
99% of 2D beat em ups are easier to control. Besides the rare exceptions the genre doesn't translate well to 3D.
Funny thing is: I don't consider most of those games a beat em up, since most are action games to me.
Beat em up in combat but they do have other elements platforming and puzzle solving
Tekken Force mode in Tekken 3 still holds up
The Xena game looks pretty fun. Actually the N64 one was a fighting game if I recall.
Never knew that the N64 has its own Xena game. I ought to check it out
I’ve always wanted Xena. I don’t know why though lol
Haha she’s so great !!
I subscribed since it was free 😂 good video
Haha right on
They finally released the second batch of DLC for retro mania wrestling
wow that xena game looks pretty good for ps1
Highly recommend. It’s a lot of fun

Xena is so much fun. The Ninja game is really really epic
I don't know why they ever made two player games. Us gamers don't have any friends
These are facts ! Haha
Speak for yourself
Because the majority have siblings to play with.
Xena!! 😂
She’s a total warrior haha
Great video but I still prefer horizontally scrolling 2D fighting games
Me too, but these have a place in my library too
JACKIE CHAN

I feel that. The games are a bit clunky and the graphics don’t hold up. But they have their charms here and there

Thanks for the suggestions. Saving fighting force 1 and 2 for a part 2 of the video
