thinking in English as a non-native speaker is a powerful tool for language acquisition and cultural integration. It opens doors to new opportunities and enriches your personal and professional life in countless ways.
Immerse Yourself: Surround yourself with English as much as possible. This includes reading English books, watching English movies or TV shows, listening to English music or podcasts, and engaging in conversations with English speakers.
Practice Regularly: Set aside dedicated time each day to think and practice in English. You can journal in English, think through daily tasks or activities in English, or even narrate your thoughts out loud in English.

English වලින් හිතන්න පුරුදු උනාම හරි ලේසියි. මම නිතරම මගේ හිත එක්ක කතාකලා උත්තර හෙව්වා. වචන වල තේරුම් හෙව්වා. වාක්‍ය හදන හැටි අතීත වර්ථමාන අනාගත කාලයන්ට අයිති වෙන වචන. උච්චාරනය සහ english ෆිල්ම් බැලුවා english වචන තියෙන පත්තර හැමඑකක්ම කියෙව්වා. හිතත් එක්ක දෙබස් හුවමාරු කරගත්තා . හැබැයි මේ හැමදේම කරන්න තමන්ට උවමනාවක් තියෙන්න ඕන. අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම . ඒක නැතුව වැඩේ වෙන්නෙ නෑ. කාටවත් බෑ උදව් කරන්න තමන්ට විතරයි තමන් වෙනුවෙන් උපරිමයෙන් කැපවීමෙන් උදව් කරන්න පුළුවන් ... ❤❤❤❤❤

Alright, I just found this video by chance thanks to RUclips algorithm. Anyway practicing with yourself is the best way to start speaking in English. Quick tip from me - Switch your subtitles into English from Sinhala when you watching Movies or TV Series..You'll learn so much words by doing so and eventually you will catch the accent of speaking. Still I'm practicing though..Coach Dilhara, You are doing so well and keep it up..Cheers!!!!

Had to do A/Ls in English medium - not by choice. And then had a relationship with common language being English. It is a very good language to a successful relationship than local language - because English is better suited for "Good Communication" in a romantic relationship, than Sinhala.
Later got 10 years working with American clients. Still took like a week to get used to Australian English.

Yes.what you said is very important miss. I feel that it would really work. I also love to learn this language and i'm also practicing some practices you said. Actually that has brought me to this level. Now i feel that i can think in English.if we hang in with grammer and translating we never do that. Actually i can't think what we learnt in our schools. Nothing was usefull. It only focused the exam. Though somebody had A pass he or she also can't speak confidently.thanks miss.
