I finally beat Cataclysm after over 7 years of playing GD on December 24 thanks to this video!
I'm a new player, only ever beaten one level. Jumping straight to Cataclysm because I have something to prove about my persistence (and I also think it's quite funny). Can currently beat do 63-100, the first cube part, and I'm very very slowly building consistency on the first wave. I also started learning the piano/memory section today. Your guide has been the most helpful for me out of the ones I've used so far. Thank you very much for creating it!
You've only beaten ONE level and can do the entire mirrored straightfly segment, the slow wave, the robot orb jumps, and the final straightfly without dying once? Do you mean one demon level, or did you seriously hop straight into Cataclysm from Stereo Madness and beat the last 37%?
@@xyzza2928 I have never played Stereo Madness. But yes, the level I cleared was The Lightning Road. Yes, I can do all of that without dying once, but not consistently.

a tip for the double click at 31%, you can spam the arrow key as well as the left mouse after changing gravity towards the orbs with the ball to make it almost 100%

Yoooo the straight fly at 40% is so much easier now with the 1,2,3 method tysm! I am actually semi-consistent at it, usually getting through around 60% of the time!

about the tight wave section at 10-16 i can confirm
its just muscle memory
i am currently 31% on cataclysm but i swear i am getting more consistent/better at it overall at the tight wave
At 44 theres actually a block under that yellow orb. So if you make the first jump through the spikes you just hold that click, then click when you get to the pink orb. That helped me a TON through there.
in some cases that actually makes you jump too early and you die to the ceiling spikes
im having so much trouble with the ship after the ufo, i'd be done much longer ago if it wasnt for that one choke point
Forever in gd my hardest has only been nine circles levels as I’m a lot better at wave than other game modes and my hardest is head rush, I died at 95 (final jump) on poltergeist and it didn’t make me upset it fueled me to beat a none nine circles extreme demon and this was the best. Thanks for the video I wouldn’t be trying without this

for me its the 40% ship part, i couldnt get consistent at it

Yeo, thanks for all the tips, a lot of these are helping! Also, what runs have you’ve done before beating it? Right now I’m working on 44-100 and I’m curious if I should do 27-100 or 27-64 and then start playing from zero.

Also theree's a fundamental difference between cataclysm and acu: Acu has genuinely good and fun gameplay, cata does not.

Some of these reasons for doing certain things aren’t right (e.g. getting the first coin actually makes the last orb before the wave less consistent) and there are better ways to do a few of the routes, and I fee like you should have re-done some clips rather than changing your mind mid-run. It kind of feels like EricVanWilderman’s Bloodlust tutorial where he’s not really giving advice you should 100% trust. Here’s a great Cataclysm tutorial you might want to try to get some planning-stage ideas from: m.ruclips.net/video/34Ig3X59_qA/видео.html
Edit: go for all coins because the first coin is at only 3%, get the second coin because it’s easier, and go for the last coin with a consistent method (e.g. buffering all orbs) because it’s 4-6 star difficulty
if you feel i am wrong about the first coin that is fine
my tutorial gives how i played the level and how i found it to be consistent. there is no perfect way to do it, if you prefer other ways go ahead

I have jumped into Cata from Nine Circles. Did NC with 60hz mobile, now I have 90hz and have gotten 90 on Cataclysm. I feel like I am super bad and unlucky at the same time to die at the last straight fly + I have died 2 times on the wave and 20+ on the ship. I have over 40k attempts on this lmao. I get so stressed after I get past 40-42 once a blue moon that I have died to the 43 cube like 10 times and the ball almost 20 times too. I am fairly consistent at the beginning and get to 40 almost every 10 attempts. I just want to beat it and move on to Aftermath or something else that is not this inconsistent xD hahahaa I beat it 5minutes ago :D
Hey I was wanting to jump from jawbreaker which is around the same difficulty as nine circles. How many attempts did nine circles take you just for reference?
@@davidpicturesGD Hey! I just checked, it took me around 8-10k attempts. The most annoying thing in Cata was the ship at around 40% after the ufo. Btw now I'm playing on a pc and have gotten 74 on Bloodbath :D
@@stali420 ok I should be able to do it then since I have like 4k attempts in jawbreaker and 75 on nine circles with 3k attempts. Thanks for the info and I hope you beat bloodbath.

Can you recommend any demons to work my up here?
Grind medium demons, then hard demons, at that point a jump to cata wouldnt be that difficult
@@musicaddict4214 WTF cata is a jump higher than an insane demon though
@@countrymanrandylewis8463 I find cata to be pretty easy ngl, grinding hard demons gives you enough skill to make the jump.

@@countrymanrandylewis8463 I mean just get to the point where you can beats one or maybe two hard demons in a single sitting, from that point your skill level plus a couple thousand attempts and cata can be beaten. Beating insane demons wouldn't hurt though.
