This was fun! had a great time trying out the hardest levels of all the difficulties. I might see if I can find some "definitive" proof of the hardest demon difficulties too, but unsure yet. Tell me what you think!

Thanks for shouting out Hexagon and I and for showing some of these levels off to the wider community! Just so everyone knows, Hexagon only made the harders and insanes lists and due to Pauze fixing and reverting old rates as of late, some of the info on there is outdated. That's why story madness and a lot of other levels Aeon didn't show are either not around anymore or not as hard as they used to be (even though I and a bunch of other star grinders played pretty much all of them when they were that hard, so you young people are lucky). Great vid Aeon :)

This is true. The hardest hard level atm is now Dont Rate This Level by KrmaL. On top of that, the old version of story madness was posted on the servers under Zeum1's account.

If you don't understand:
Xmas Challenge was rated 2* because Robtop said that he can't rate levels shorter than 30 seconds with more than 2 stars. If it actually does happen than the anticheat kicks in.
What if it was an easy 9* like Luster?
What if it was speequ?

you get more stars from blast processing than these levels
different times, different skill level. Back in the days this was considered as hard. It was still unreasonable that it became a demon, that´s for sure. But it was indeed one of the harder levels.

Xmas Challenge on 60hz: Insane
Xmas Challenge on 144hz: Normal
I spent like 700 attempts on 60 hz trying to beat it and when I switched to 144 I beat it in 50 attempts lol
1 block straightly is free even on 60

as it wasn’t in this video i thought i could mention a funny thing, there’s a handful of levels rated auto that aren’t actually auto due to some changes in the rating system over the years, so the hardest “auto” is actually “geometry map 8 auto” which despite its name, is actually a memory challenge

The funniest part about these ratings is that RobTop doesn’t always fully play levels before rating them and featuring them. As shown on a few of his streams, he sometimes doesn’t even get through a fifth or a quarter of the level before rating them, which is how half of these exist. Demons are different because players can change the rating with their votes (if a demon has more user votes for it to be a hard demon than it does medium, then it becomes a hard demon, which is how demon difficulties can change over time), whereas these levels are stuck with whatever rating Rob gave them

Idk but robotic dreams was updated to be the same difficultly as cataclysm and it's seven stars.
And then pauze recently reverted it back to 7 star difficulty

colorfull level was reverted to its oldest version, it used to be like medium/hard demon difficulty depending on refresh rates, AND story madness was reverted to a buffdate version but its still easier than it was before. the current hardest 4-5 star is dont rate this level by krmal (which used to be 3rd hardest behind colorfull and story). its a funny level so i think you’d like it

I love how most of these were at least easy demon difficulty. Like how tf is The Lightning Road rated harder than these levels… and the last level is 100% harder than Cataclysm and probably Bloodbath
Petal Dance was severely overrated at the time. Hardest 8 star is shakeN which is miles harder.
Aeon sounded legitimately horrified when he was playing petal dance and I cant say I disagree with the things he said

LOL turns out the easy and normal lists he used were ones I made just letting you know they haven’t been updated for a couple months
also the hards and harders lists you used are outdated, colourfull level and story madness have been reverted so the top 2 hardest hard levels are now Dont Rate This Level by KrmaL and Piano World by RegGerom, and since (as you realised) skyless is gone the hardest harder is now GoodDeath by sangrado

I’m slightly disappointed that aeon didn’t include one of the 1 star auto levels that used to be a 1 star easy level before robtop added in the auto game difficulty.

Actually the hardest 4 star level is called "illuminati" wich has a almost impossible spam section wich makes the level at LEAST top 20!(except for the fact that it was unrated a few moths ego)

In my experience I've found user levels rated 2 stars to typically be harder than levels rated 4 stars.
