so your telling me that i spent hours grinding salty herb when i could've used these recipes to get the sandwiches with any herb!? this is going to help a lot not only to save time spent only looking for salty herbs (especially since as you'd expect grinding raids has given me a bunch of other herbs) but also if one of my friends needs sparkling power and cant get herbs for whatever reason.
This worked like a charm using my Scarlet to give my Violet the Steel powers. Only took around 15 minutes for my wonderful blue worm to show up, and Adamant too! Guess the game wanted to make sure I got a Christmas present, as today was Christmas Eve. Thanks to all the people who found this method!
for those solo player cause i try this and it does work that well for me create a manual save before making the sandwich and farm ur shiny if u didnt find the shiny close the game and reload had to do it for my shiny paradox pokemon

With no jingle sound or sparkle until you encounter pokemon. I have to use the lets go feature unless a pokemon is very obviously different. You must have amazing eyesight to spot that rotom was shiny. Looks like ill have to grind eggs to get a shiny rotom.
For rotom, do a shiny electric sandwich around the lighthouse north of Porto Marinada, use the picnic to reset spawns by the lighthouse. Shiny rotom has pink body and pink lightning, in that area a lot will spawn so you will be able to see the difference between the two, most noticeable how the lightning isn't close to blue. Caught 5 yesterday for the appliances in the catalog.
Do the raids need to be the special 5 star or just the normal 5 star raids to get the herb? I've probably done over 20 normal 5 star raid and haven't got a single herb, am I doing something wrong or is it just my luck?
My husband just managed to get 2 spices and one sweet herba in 5 raids skipping a day ahead online and then back n ahead n so forth and it spawns them easier in rewards

When I'm going the recipes from the guide in the video it gives me sparkling power 3 but not encounter power 3. Can you use these recipes in single player?
Good method but it sucks that the host player doesn't get the sparkling and encounter boosts so if you wanted to shiny hunt without spending herbs you yourself will need to find someone who can provide the herbs
I'm so glad I bought both copies and have a 2nd switch, I was already in the post game I'm Violet so I started on scarlet and trade myself some XL candies from Violet and got my starter level 100 then found a 5 star ditto raid that gives me a herba on my Violet and use a level 1 mankey so my starter on Scarlett can 1 shot it and after we beat the raid I close app on Violet and do it again. Now I'm using Scarlett to make the shiny power infinity on my Violet account lol I can help you out if you'd like
How do you keep the outbreaks that you have before joining the union circle? Does it refresh once you disconnect because I tried this before and I think it refreshed all my outbreak so I gave up on trying again
Outbreaks are pointless dude, just use a shiny sandwich for a particular type you are looking for in a certain area and run back and forth spawning Pokemon (make sure to look at all of them before they despawn though). I usually get 3-4 per shiny sandwich.

Would recommend to play on Friday and saturday, sunday is a near by school day, just incase you have a test/ws on monday, i would recommend saturday! ^^

Post game, you have to complete 5 5* raids you should get a call saying the raids got tougher. Then you should see 1 raid every 24hrs (IRL) That is black and glowing no matter the type to farm 6* raids turn your switch clock back by 1 minute
Well I was doing a fighting type sandwich and I did the recipe right and like it said use any two herbs in any combination so I did that and ended up with ghost sparkling power Edit: fixed it

There's some images going around and some videos about it but, there's specific 5 and others 6 raids that give ALL herbas so statistically you can get more herbas per raid. I think it's Amongus Gengar Blissey Dondozo Glalie Drifblim Palafin Elektross and Cetitan for 5 stars And Blissey Vaporeon Farigiraf Amongus Dondozo Cetitan for 6 stars

If the host disconnects, and then we do another sandwich for them, what will happen to, let's say, my buffs when I turn off my switch? Will the host have to wait for the 30 minutes to expire so he can get another go?
Honestly this doesn't work well. It only works if you have two games and 2 switches. I don't think this is s good method. Its a bad tips and trick. The host just get screwed

Same issue, adding the butter seems to change the fighting power sandwich to a ghost one for some reason. Did it solo and it was fighting, did it with my second switch in a union circle and added the butter and it became ghost. Fairy worked fine with the butter though (only other one I have tried so far.)
Not really, because if you solo make a sandwich and then turn off the game to save ingredients, the game won't have even made the sandwich in the first place, so you'll get no buffs
No, it's similar in concept to people hosting raids and constantly resetting their game to get the same raid so people can farm herbs, the host gets nothing because they reset their game to not lose the herbs only way host can get the boost is to do it a second time with someone else doing the hosting and quitting to give them the boost afterwards like rotating who is the host who provides the boost and who is the guest getting the boost.

You don't need to kill anything to make the shiny spawn? Or you do need to kill 60 to make it spawn?
The 60 KOs only help increase the odds by an additional 2 rolls, so it is absolutely possible to get the shiny you seek without the need to do this
