I met Van Damme at the Scotland Comic Con last year, super cool guy, great to all the fans. Not to be negative but I also met Dolph who was a bit of a dick, no hand shakes, no fist bumps etc. JCVD was hugging and hi 5ing everyone, he seemed like he was genuinely enjoying meeting the fans.
He's a great guy and a very underrated martial artist, hollywood spread a lot of bs about him in the past cuz he spoke truth about a lot of shady thigns going on there, and then he started using cocaine.

Belgium and LA could not be further apart in terms of celebirty culture.

I was 13yrs old in 1990 and took up weight training to be like Van Damme. I could even do the splits on chairs, much to my fellow female McDonalds employees' delight.

@@SledgeHammerMindOpener oui je suis français. but i didn't attack what you said, just a simple correction about "he said no to the superficial". when he could he was using it. until it fired back because of his weird behaviour. like i said drugs made him do that. it's not really who he is. drug addicts tend to have social issues. that doesn't mean they're bad persons.
