I remember the DS3 days where Chase would roll catch people with the Club like it was a magnet attracted to their armor. I don't think the ER version catches quite as well, but something about hitting someone with a stick is just so satisfying.
The stone club is basically just a direct upgrade to this one. Has slightly better range and gets a noticeable increase to ar as well.
The battle mages seem to be so much more adept at using it than our tarnished. They made me want to make it work so bad.
Every day we get closer to the Ringed Finger showcase
Ideas:
- You never use shields. I'd be really curious to see you use them. There are some *really* odd and interesting shields too. Jellyfish Shield, Coil Shield, Marred Leather Shield, Great Turtle Shield, Spiked Palisade Shield, One Eyed Shield
- You never use bows. Give us a Serpent Bow or Black Bow showcase?
- You very rarely use magic, and your billy goat poisetank wizard was hilarious. Would love to see you use one where you play with Gravity Well, Carian Phalanx, and Magic Glintblade for delayed effect/rollcatch.

Clutching it against that halberdier is such a perfect illustration of (a) why we watch Chase and (b) how victory/defeat is 90% a mental thing. Keep up the meditation, fam ;)

Offhand Reinforced club was my baby in ds3 and when two handed it dealt with murky shitters fairly well

Looks like there is a glitch when you L1 quickly and press something like an R1 after, you'll get a miss input

My favorite recurring theme is Chase getting backstabbed during Hoarah Loux.
You should do stone club,it is so nasty with cragblade,stuns full bullgoat into the cosmos

How you know where enemy attacks end in space, just outside of your hit box, at the same time you are swinging your weapon, is simply amazing.
Onr of the reasons I always start with Wretch, Depraved or whatever he is called. The club in the early game is exceptionally powerful especially in Dark Souls (where it massacers both the Graveyard Skeletons as well as the Stone Guardians in Darkroot) and Elden Ring (where it kills the Miners even unupgraded in one hit with enough strength).
Seriously, when I first played Dark Souls I was shocked at how well my club was doing compared to every other weapon I was finding early game.
The Club matched with a magic infused mace was my blursed DS2 STR build, might have to try it out on ER one of these days.
while its good that fromsoft put in magic mitigation tools like carian retaliation, erdtree sentinel shield and eternal darkness, plus magic fortification, the simple fact that most invasions are just 5 minutes of projectile and ash of war spam before the fight begins is proof enough that there isnt enough counterplay to magic spam other than just running and dodging indefinitely. Once you have those overleveled phantoms with hacked starlight shards popping them every few minutes, and the spam is guaranteed never to stop.
Chase, you make every weapon in Elden Ring feels great!

I've heard tell of a mighty weapon so unbelievable, so understandable, so unlike any other of its type. Both laymen and sophisticated refer to this tool of devastation as St Trina's Torch.
Underrated weapon. It is really fast, more than most of the hammers and makes considerable poise damage. If you are aggressive, give it a try and it doesn't disappoint at all. Also, bonkering is really funny lol

Use dual clubs with heavy infuse and barbaric roar on off hand and storm stomp on main. Roll catch with storm, heavy attack with roar going and you can drop 2-3 k damage easy

Ever think about trying out a quality build? I think they stealth buffed that infusion because the damage with them isn't too bad now
4:05 pretty much every weapon and setup in the game can’t pressure light roll spam, even hts can’t really catch up after they monkey mash a few times.

As my first Souls game in Elden Ring I started as a Wretch and never used the club after I found my first sword. I don't know if that's the nature of the Wretch... but I never knew the club was so... NASTY.
I recommend the Bastard Stars for it's out of this world

Hey Chase, i know its a bit of an off topic comment. But have you thought about returning to/continuing your DS3 Convergence 2.1 playthrough? Or even possibly a 2.2 one? There is so much cool stuff that would be a shame if you missed out on it.

It changes it charged attack randomly. I don't get it. Sometimes it's a single heavy hit and sometimes it's a swing combo of 3 hits. There's no consistency in it's attacks
the club hits a really nice middlepoint between poise damage, speed and range. I used it with some faith for black flame protection and was surprised how well it worked.

Please for the very last episode do a complete bare fisted video and maybe use briar set for roll damage to make it less tedious. I'm sure you'll still win lol.
