I’ve done a fair bit of daytime cloud timelapses with the standard iPhone timelapse function but I’ve just downloaded this because I want to experiment with some night stuff (planes doing night circuits at local airport/some Astro stuff - anything unusual I can find). Just waiting for a nice night here in NZ (doesn’t happen much this time of the year…).
Good one Shane. So why wouldn’t you do EvenLonger Night mode intervals. With that set of data you can then do:
- post process data set if required
- stack 20 picture of say the milkyway (haven’t found a iOS app that does that)
- feed the data into the star stacker app for star trails or star laps video
Basically one data set that can feed various end outcome.
100% mate. I havent been able to get good galactic core shots out of EL yet that Im happy with. This is just easy to do.
I’ve used it for daytime Timelapse but I haven’t tried for night yet. As always, thanks for the info
I love my Reeflex Pro camera app so I bought Reelapse for use on my iphone12pm. Tried it out yesterday 4 times for 180s daytime hyperlapse. It overheated the phone each time and stopped at 100s. Also tried the default camera with no problem and no problem with the Insta360 Flow hyperlapse. I won't be trying Reelapse again, at least until the next update.
It also doesn't remember the settings so I have to respecify grid, level meter and all settings each use.
And they want people to give them money for all that? I will stick to shooting astro with my main camera which has a better sensor for this job.
As much as it’s a niche product, I think for me personally it’s going to get me more interested in doing time-lapses. I did one of a lightning storm last night that was just ok, nothing spectacular, but I definitely see the potential here.
Ahh, but youre part of the niche mate. I would expect someone like you to use it.
@@ShayneMostyn I haven’t done many time-lapses though. Hardly ever, so this is a nice push. 🙂
the app is pretty new i think they will fix the battery issue and the no light performances in order to compete with even longer
Its not quite the same sort of app though. I think they will resolve those things though
Isn’t it good to capture nightlapse of stars on new moon and let me know plzz how i can capture the milkyway timlapse ???
Its time that apple offers a good pro mode.
I hate to get x apps for different use cases.
You gotta try this on android and make an actual timelapse while at it, perhaps with P8P or S24U
There's a way better 3rd party option available compared to iOS that will smoke this one, even for astro lapses 😉
Thanks…I was a little stressed
I knew you would be 😉
Not as much a gimmick as a phone as camera 😉
Phone cameras are the most used cameras in the world. Hardly a gimmick.
