      May i ask what is the benefit of HHall effect joysticks versus the ones that came with the ALLY? does it have more resistance than the orignaly ALLY sticks?

    • @okestgamer
      @okestgamer  Год назад +2

      @@TheSignOfJonah so Hall effect sticks are not susceptible to the typical causes of joystick drift. Take joycons for an example. The sensors (potentiometer) get worn out or dirty (corroded sometimes), the Hall effect use magnets to detect input, so there isn’t a physical contact where a part wears down or gets dirty.

    • @TheSignOfJonah
      @TheSignOfJonah Год назад +1

      @@okestgamer Thank you, Also i am wondering if the ones you installed (Hall effect) will have more resistance when moving them. Unfortunately i like more resistance on the sticks similar to that of the PS5. I play better FPS games with that type of resistance. The ALLY moves too easy and has low resistance. Does The Hall Effect stick you installed have more resistance than the original ALLy sticks? Also the best material for magnetic shielding is any ferromagnetic metal. This includes materials that contain iron, nickel, or cobalt. A magnetic field can be reduced by bringing another magnetic field that is stronger close to the original magnetic field which will cancel out the first field. This is often called magnetic shielding and it basically creates a second magnetic field in the same location that conducts a stronger fluctuation. Copper is one of the most effective materials used in RF shields. While copper can be relatively expensive, it provides highly effective conduction, absorption and attenuation of incoming RF signals. However i will give you a link that has a sheild that has a Chemical Composition of 80% Nickel, 5 % Molybdenum and 15% Ironlook. Look at this example: www.reddit.com/r/peakdesign/comments/ts51if/shielding_the_everyday_case_for_s22_ultra_to_use/ .. Another example ruclips.net/video/oSwd0zd4rKQ/видео.html .. ruclips.net/video/2U1o66bs_Qg/видео.html .. After watching those videos you can see why in theory you can layer two or three sheets of this material over the magnet at U7102 ruclips.net/video/2U1o66bs_Qg/видео.html ,, then after that you can use this material to cover it very neatly www.amazon.com/MuMETAL-Magnetic-Shielding-Thick-Sheet/dp/B017ABFDP8/ref=sr_1_10?crid=16P5BJJOUGXPI&keywords=magnetic+shielding&qid=1687642876&refinements=p_72%3A1248921011&rnid=1248919011&s=industrial&sprefix=Magnetic+Shielding%2Cindustrial%2C77&sr=1-10#customerReviews .. Then after that you can use some extremely durable tape that will cure itself to the board with the additional heat from the device and is guranteed to hold in place the shield for the lifetime of the product. You're welcome friend :)

I'm trying to solve an issue I have. During gaming, my right trigger activates randomly even with my hand completely away from it. I thought maybe it was just sensitive and adjusted the trigger in armory crate but it was still happening. I haven't been able to nail down the cause 100% because it's sporadic but the most often way I was able to replicate the issue was when using both left and right joysticks and rolling them inwards towards each other (both pressed towards the screen). Thanks for putting the part links. Have you found out what time of cap the joysticks use. Mine actually is starting to eat away the plastic were the joist I’m hits the LED wall. It’s like sandpaper eating away the joystick. I probably press to hard. Anyways. If you can find compatible caps that would be awesome.

      I have not found one identical to it. You could use the caps that come with the Hall effect order, but they are smaller

    Does it interfere with the triggers? I heard reason why they didn’t put hall effect joysticks is because it interferes with the Hall effect triggers

      I didn’t really notice anything. Even if there was, you could just calibrate them a small amount. If the fix works for the interference, it will help both ways of interference.

    Can you add a padding on the censor like a thick tape or termal pads For the interference?

      I’ve tried blocking at all angles, it can reduce, but does not eliminate. Part 2 I was able to use a magnet to counter the magnetic force and stop most interference. After I have learned that each ally seems to be slightly different, so some have had issues on the right stick as well.

    Do these joysticks feel less loose than the OG sticks?

    Hello. Thank you for the helpful video. I decided to order the Hall Effect sticks you have linked. However, OneXPlayer support is demanding I provide them with a serial number to clarify what sticks I need...I told them I wanted them for the Ally, but they are still asking for a serial number. I understand their sticks are supposed to be for their handhelds, but I'm at a lost. Did you have to go through this same thing and if so what did you reply to them with? Thanks in advance!

      I do not, some have reported that on hall ones as well as the alps ones.

    I'm still on the fence on buying a protection plan for the rog . Best buy gives you 30 days after purchase to buy a plan. I feel with how early repairable the rog is that i mite not get it. I feel like i rarely ever have to use the protection plan but with rog not having standard joysticks that worries me. I'm just curious did you buy a protection plan for your rog

      No, I rarely buy warranty. If your sticks break and you don’t want Hall effect, you can buy the same stick as the ally for like $6 on alliexpress. Install is the same as this video
