There are a few places where I live that have a good reuben. However, the best Reuben is the one I make. I make sauerkraut all the time and when I have a new batch, its Reuben time!! Homemade sauerkraut is the game changer to me. Story Time: A couple of weeks ago I had a new batch of 'kraut. I went to the store and bought all the fixins' and came home. My friend said he really didn't like sauerkraut. I said thats because you've never had it homemade. Its a completely different taste. I ferment mine with dill and summer savory just like my parents and grandparents did since the "old country". Long story short, I made a sandwich, he tasted it and I had to make another! I always have to have a crock of sauerkraut now because you never know when Rueben Fever strikes! Plus I like to eat a little every day. Tanks for the video. It made me hungry for one, guess what I'm having for lunch tomorrow?!
@John Eats Cheap, There is nothing easier to make that homemade sauerkraut. You need cabbage, salt, a container, and maybe some water. There are a bunch of RUclips videos and websites to get you started regarding the ratio of salt to cabbage. Give it a try! You and your homemade corned beef deserve it!
Looks delicious!! The best Reuben I’ve ever had was at Paula’s cafe in Craig, MO,. They grilled the sauerkraut and corned beef then grilled the Reuben. Amazing!!

Never put corn beef in the microwave. Terrible! Warm up the corn beef and sour kraut in pan.
