I thought about buying a file to keep on the truck. Then one day I needed a quick fix and the channel locks worked great!

💥 Great info. I have my white spray tip stuck in the quick disconnect on the end of my wand. I can pull the release ring back but it only comes so far out then stops. I bet it’s from that lip that you are showing.
I don’t wanna throw the wand and the tip away and I wonder if you have any suggestions on how to get the tip out “Just the tip” 🤣

😂 Sure! Pull the coupling back until it sticks. Then use either a pair of channel locks or a crescent wrench to grab the plug. With the plug in your wrench, pull back on the coupling with your thumb and index finger while twisting the wand and plug in opposite directions. If the coupling doesn't pull back enough to disengage the plug then I've used the back of the channel locks to tap the coupling back until it's fully disengaged. Then repeat the first part if it's still stuck. A little WD-40 wouldn't hurt either.

@@UnderPressureGa Thanks. I douced it in gear oil and try everything, but it just wasn’t budging. I had another one stuck on my surface cleaner and it wouldn’t come off either. I’m quite mechanically inclined and nothing was taking them off so I just ordered a stainless steel quick disconnect and a new white tip.
