Clearly Alaska is part dog with her wanting to look out the window.
My tegu loves car rides and is definitely a window hog. He used to even come to class with me pre-pandemic. Sleeps on my belly just about every night, and whenever I go on a trip longer than a day he comes with me. He and several of his siblings have also been stealthily carried into hotel rooms lol.
My cats enjoy looking out the window too

Im guessing college class, I don't think any highschool would let you bring in any kind of reptile.

Ed’s sigh when Emily made the croc joke just absolutely killed me hahaha 😂😂😂
As someone who worked the front desk of a hotel for 2 years: It's fine Emily. Sneak them in. We don't care as long as it doesn't cause damage or complaints. Snakes are nothing compared the the time a guy tried to sneak 10 huskys in and then played dumb when we asked him why his room sounded like a kennel
that is character. you gotta respect the foolishness😅. also i would love to sneek 10 huskys anywhere. or lizards that would be fine too. reptiles my bad.
Dang Ten Huskies?! How did that person think they'd get away with ten dogs let alone Huskies with their attitudes
He claimed they were sled dogs, but they 100% weren't sled dogs 🤷♀️
Hotels are usually small so WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND WOULD DO THAT-

I’m sure it was absolutely heartbreaking for the owners to let their pets go bc of some new law but I hope they at least found solace in knowing these two were the best ppl who could take them in. They devote their whole lives to showing these typically less loved creatures unconditional love & giving them the best lives they can! Thank God for people like this with hearts so big !!!

The Greatest Commandment
34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[c] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[d] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
Emily trying chips and then putting them back is such a little kid thing to do, I love it!
I’ll admit when I first saw your videos I thought it was weird how excited you got about new/cool things but after awhile I found out it’s because I’m older and I’ve become jaded because of all the experiences I’ve been through but the more I’ve been watching it’s helped me to find things I’m passionate about. Animals are amazing! We just got a scorpion mud turtle and she’s so cool. Just upgraded her to a 40 gallon aquarium and it’s so cool watching her. Thanks for your amazingly positive attitude and dedication towards the things you care about. You guys are great!

Ali is amazing
My kitten is missing half of her tail too. She got dumped in a parking lot with a prolapsed rectum and a can of food and a ton of health issues. Her name is Sunni because she’s always happy and she’s recovering well. Seeing Alaska reminded me of her
That's so sad! Who would ever do that to a kitten😡😡😡??!!! I'm glad you're taking care of her and now she is in a great home. 😌😌
My cat also has half a tail! A friend found her at the side of the road years ago with a broken tail, and her momma was nowhere to be found. The friend couldn't keep her cause of cat allergies, so we took her in, got her checked out... and a few weeks-or-so later the "dead" part of her tail just up and fell off. So many vet visits still couldn't save it 😅
She's now a very spoiled adult kitty, and her tail doesn't bother her at all anymore. The tip of her tail is permanently bald though.
@@WhutADrag it is kinda funny the tip of the tail is bald, nothing else is rlly funny though; take good care of the kitty!

Maybe I’m too late, but if you ever come back down to Miami you should drive down to Black Point Park & Marina. There’s a nature trail that follows along the banks and there are hundreds of iguanas just lounging around. You may even see some manatees floating along.

Oh that's so sad, I can't imagine owning an animal for perhaps years, and then a law gets passed and having to give the animal up.. So sad for the owners, but good thinking that they had a plan with you guys to make sure the Tegu gets a good home!
You can only keep green iguanas and tegus as education animals here in florida now. It's to prevent idiots from releasing their pets and hurting the ecosystem more.
@@stellarlight5626 thousands of tegus, reticulated pythons, and green iguanas that are being kept in florida are being euthanized and killed because of this law. It may prevent idiots, but it's killing thousands of animals and destroying people livelihoods.
It is sad. This is a out break. Stop separating animals from there loving homes. No more animals separated from there owners on my whach
You can keep it illegally if you want to.
Usually when laws like this get passed, people who already own them are grandfathered in and you just can't breed, buy, sell, or trade.

I live for watching ospreys pick up raccoons. Those darn things have it coming with their snarky apposite thumbs and tendency to eat their way into the chicken coop
I saw a rat get killed by my dog I slaw an iguana eaten by a bird I couldn’t identify.
@@klcatlin ospreys eat trash pandas?,I thought they were piscivorous...
Its unusual behavior, but the ospreys in Maine are rugged and take what they can get. Cats, raccoons, fish, squirrels, sometimes they'll fly off with a chihuahua... its not a perfect science but the ospreys where I live just don't care. There is one nesting near my house that tried to take my drone out of the sky from across the property
@@klcatlin unusual indeed, the behaviour of new England ospreys is more similar to old England seagulls, maybe it's due to similar circumstances to gulls (fish eating bird becomes opportunistic to cope with urbanisation, even if British seagulls are more interested in chips and rats than chihuahuas),or maybe it's due to their recent extinction and reintroduction to Britain,as their stronghold, Scotland already has plentiful scavenging raptors like the red kite and buzzard and is home to golden eagles, birds of prey that are large enough to eat foxes,so it acts more as a freshwater equivalent to white tailed sea eagles (another recently reintroduced species and Britain's largest raptor) than compete against bigger birds...

It’s ridiculous that pets already owned when something was legal is not grandfathered in. Only new animals shouldn’t be allowed.
I think it depends on why the law was passed
On one hand I agree, but on the other it is always a danger that those will be released by the owners. As a concerned Floridian though, I am much more worried about people deciding to release their pets as a result of the law then anything else.
@@jonikafalkins5831 Are you having a stroke?

@@arachanine very true I didnt think of that
I’m guessing daily, or at least frequently depending on which species it is.
Really good question! I've wondered that about Rex for instance, esp as she got bigger. They do seem to be doing target training with her still tho
An idea for an enclosure for the facility:
With the additional of Axolotl in minecraft, i feel like itll be fun/cool for children to see an axolotl IRL in one of the enclosures since they still are amphibian :)
I think an Axolotl would be really cool but they're care is super exact, like they need their water to be perfect and stuff. Im sure Emily and Ed could pull it off if they really wanted to, and it'd be awesome to see! Maybe one day
@@camicoonluv7360 right, i dont know how to take care of axolotls (and i did mention that i wont blame them if they cant cause of space or the care in a separate message on their webside) but if they managed to pull it off, i feel like it would be a great turning point to kids who are afraid of amphibians or reptiles to see a creature thats looks like it exist in a fantasy IRL, would be really facinating for them
And i didnt know their care was so specific, learn smt new everyday
They have (or had? haven't heard about it for a while) a salamader larvae that just won't grow up and for all intents and purposes might as well be an axolotl (I think the number of toes differs and one of the two doesn't like too much water flow, but looks and behavior are the same)
maybe they still have it and will display it? I don't know, but it is possible
@@camicoonluv7360 exactly, and pretty much all of Emily's and Ed's amphibians (tiger salamanders, American toads,Hypno the pixie frog, grey tree frog) are voracious generalists/living garbage bins.
