Different video! A whole new adventure… 747 ✈️ will always be the queen 👸
I guess we're both selfish Paul;thanks for the video DJ Merry Christmas😀😀
I wished all airlines who owned the 747 do this. Glad DAL and BA kept one as a museum
Qantas too
What a great coverage of saving the 747s being scrapped, and Merry Christmas mate!
Yes Bring our Birds Home TE Air New Zealand DC-10-30 ZK-NZS part of the the Big Ten fleet. In Cuba at the moment. My first flight in January 1978 with this unit ZK-NZS on flight TE 836 Melbourne to Auckland 1978. Looks great in cabin Zone B economy window seat J15. Hand written boarding carbon tickets at Tulla .
Yes watching.
Ansett 727.
I worked at Air Canada and they had 2 ex Air New Zealand 767 200 aircraft, they were 621 and 622. we did over hauls and flew then for many yrs before being parked around 2006 or so. They had lots of hrs on them when finally parked.
It is amazing that people do stuff like this! Too bad Canada doesn’t do the same with commercial aviation as our most famous plane the Gimli Glider an ac 767-200 got scrapped. However getting to visit these other museums of the world is great. We do have a organization saveing f28s in Alberta though which I am gald to see for sure.
"Smokey" Schreder, he did my interview at entry time into the airline. Had the pleasure to fly with him later.
we should try to save as many A380-800 airframe practically possible, especially those that have been retired from active service . . . hanging somewhere between temporary long term storage or scrapping . . . speaking of double decker wide body quad jets it'd be wise to save some of the B747-400 & B747-400 ER as well . . . particularly those airframes that were built in the final production batch of B747s prior to suspending assembly of all B747 passenger variants (-200/-300/-300 Combi/-400/400 ER) permanently . . . fast forward to 2021 - 2022 . . . by now the last batch of B747-400 & B747-400 ER has probably clocked anywhere between 13,890 flight hours - 26,932 flight hours since it was delivered to their operators . . . and well maintained airframes impeccably, pristine condition even after years & years of rigorous use . . . hope not all of the B747-400 & B747-400 ER built until 2005 has been scrapped as yet . . . some examples could still be in active service but on the retirement list (pending) . . . Boeing should have sustained full fledged B747-8I production atleast until 2026 - 2028 . . . hybrid aircraft propulsion is the only way to save B747-8I & A380-800 quad jets from extinction . . . believe it or not hybrid power solutions can make the A380-800 fuel efficient by as much as 63% - 68% . . . that translates to 883 miles - 1200 miles of additional range . . . please advise what can we do to stop B747-400, B747-400 ER, B747-8I & A380-800 from getting dumped in the scrapyard . . .
If only someone saved N458BJ
