    Can you please bring ZTH Training on here to talk about his two year transformation from Sunday League at 16 to Vancouver Whitecaps at 18?

    I am a danish footballer playing at a mediocre/slightly above mediocre level, I am 19 years old playing my third year of senior football. I am truly eager to train extra and i want to strive for the 20 hour/week golden standard, but i have had a lot of issues with overuse injuries in the past (Jumpers knee, broken toe, thigh injury, Haglunds heel).
    I take great care of my body and i am one of if not the most fit player at my club. I am frustrated by injuries getting in the way of my goals, and i would be very interested in hearing your advice, if you have any, on what i can do to avoid these injuries.
    I really enjoyed watching and learning from this video. Taking notes throughout, and it's really powerful stuff.
    Stay blessed and stay effective
    Bastian

      Hi Bastian, Sam here from Train Effective. Looking after your body is so important to have a long and injury free career. I’ve been through similar injuries to you and I’ll be happy to give you some tips/advice to help you. Please contact me via email (sam.shaban.traineffective@gmail.com) or WhatsApp (+44 7576 708922).
      All the best,

      Hope you reached out to Sam in the comment. Overuse is dangerous and something I could create another one hour video about.
      In short - you have to become an expert at managing load and figuring out the best way to reach your goals without putting to much strain on your body. This is why specific goals are important. For example, if you need to improve your weak foot, you don't need to incorporate loads of heavy sprinting to get a stronger weak foot. You need reps and that can be done at a somewhat low intensity. Most of its technique and repetition. Passing against walls, etc. So think about how to achieve your goal in a way thats highly effective and puts the least strain on your body. Easier said than done and lots of variables to consider. I'll look at making a video about this soon.

    Sir what if your a 22 year old been trying for 5 years now only played in semi pro leagues and only got invited to combine but no luck what do you do after that do you keep going or ?

    • @nickhumph
      @nickhumph 22 дня назад

      To play professionally, you need to stand out heads and shoulders above the rest.
      You need to be the top 1% of all semi-pros and even then you gotta create chances and make your own luck.
      The semi-pro -> pro story does happen a few times a year but you have to consistently be in that top 1%.
      If you're happy to continue pushing and dedicate the extra time to achieving that goal and be fine with having no guarantee of achieving it, so be it. If you have any doubt and don't love that process, invest that great work-ethic / life habits you've developed elsewhere.

      I would consider this more passive education and learning.
      Deliberate practice really is about working on the edges of your ability with challenging practice.
