    This movie is very well written and inisightful. Danny DeVito and Kevin Spacy were Brilliant; too bad only me and 100 other people saw it.

    So many years passed away, and I remember this speech. Nothing else from this film. GREAT De Vito!!!!

    I believe it's his finest performance by a mile. It's also an incredibly well-written monologue.

    This really captures the spirit of how seniority cannot reach youth. Loyalty to lies is such a deep problem. If you believe a lie it will effect your whole life as if it's the truth, even though it's a lie. People live in a daily cycle.

    One of my favorite speeches, I remember being in my early 20s and knowing I hadn’t regret anything yet and now 33 years old I regret a lot and how I have character

      I was in my early 20s when I saw this movie when it came out. Re-watching it in my 40s; it hits me differently. Back then, I appreciated the pathos...Now, I simply get it.

    Profound meanings in this film with extremely talented actors, one of my best, glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed this master piece :)

    As a young person, this speech didn't make sense. The older I get, the words become clearer and clearer and the truth is revealed.

    I cannot believe that this man can pull off big kahuna, the Penguin, and Iasip and not let you feel the difference

      The Big kahona had only 3 actor, but is a very good and a criminal underrated film. A must watch.

    I'm not familiar with this movie and I can't stand Kevin Spacey (arrogant and self righteous), but this is a great speech and DeVito is really a great actor.

    One of the greatest scenes of all time! An eye opener for all of those Jesus freaks out there who just can’t help bringing Jesus into every fuckin conversation 👍

    • @luischa24
      @luischa24 4 года назад +18

      I believe you missed the point. It wasn't about "Jesus freaks", it just so happens the character was a holy roller. It's about many people out there that see other people as possible converts to their personal crusade, whether its Jesus, Buddha, lubricants or how to make money on real estate with no money down. I work with people that help but try to insert their political agenda into everything they do and say, sometimes in subtle ways sometimes in not so subtle ways. The whole of society has stopped seeing its parts as human beings, human beings that have dreams, families, troubles, battles, hopes etc. Hell, nowadays the term influencer is not an insult, instead its a career, think about that for a second. Again, I believe you sadly missed the point.
