Watching you guys sit there in silence while immersed in scenes of 2 characters having a conversation is testament to the quality of the writing and acting on this show. I'm so glad you appreciate scenes like the ones between Littlefinger and Varys and Robert and Cersei.
I think it was 8 pages or more of dialogue. Very well done on the part of the actors, making so much dialogue riveting.
And that's where the creators found the tone for the show by the way, they comment in the dvds, the scene between Cersei and Robert. It was not supposed to happen. But the episode was too short. So they invented that scene at the last minute. And thanks to the actors, it transformed into something they did not expect, and they discovered that was the kind of show they wanted to do. Too bad that they don't have time for that anymore in the last seasons....... they try though, we have a dialogue between two specific Lannisters in the very last episode that they made just on purpose just for the sake of having the two actors talk together... and it was probably the best of the season.

I didn't catch it because I still didn't have the names down. I remember wondering who Ned and Robert were talking about.
I think it's because people have difficulty remembering names. I remember not realising it until much later this season because "Jorah Mormont" wasn't embedded in my head. Hell, I didn't even realise he was the Commander's son.
Absolutely! I’ve watched other reactors and I think this is the first time I’ve seen someone catch on to that piece of info. I didn’t catch it either the first time I watched it cuz it took me a while to learn all those names.
Melissa Vukelic I always tell new viewers that GoT does NOT waste scenes. Every line spoken is setting up something else that may happen a season or 3 later. I think it helps a lot for people to watch with the subtitles on. That way they see, as well as hear, all the names.

Season 1 is definitely one of my favourite seasons. Probably my 3rd.
The story is best with the first 4 seasons. People like you may love the stupid action CGI with dragons. But the story is so bad now. It's so fucking bad. Everything is predictable and our main characters are safe and won't die until the end. If we wanted action only, we could watch Marvel movies.

@@marer1000 Again that's on the showrunners to rope I'm viewers. There wasn't so much nudity and sex in the books. You'd be crazy to say that season 1 didn't have one the best plotlines and dialogue oriented story.

Varys and Littlefinger be like this is chess not checkers. In retrospect it's always fun to see how the fighting between the Lannisters and Starks in season one because there are so many things that could have been avoided but the Starks react so fast. Remember Loras Tyrell (the Knight of Flowers) for later.
Nah. The current scenario of the show in season 7 had made Varys and little finger to be gutless idiots. Kudos to the show runners. Making two of the smartest characters into idiots with no purpose.
Dude, GRRM was heavily involved in the show and script writing till season 4. Calm down. He stopped being so involved as he started focusing on his books. I'm a hipster? I'll gladly be if calling out mediocrity and lazy writing is being a hipster. Watching season 1 again with them, just reminded me of how good the story was. How intricate and how awesome the dialogues were. I mean, you also see this....right?

I see a slight quality drop, not the mountain yall make it out to be w ur dramatic selves, I was able to enjoy S7 in the same essence I enjoyed LOTR. We still don't know what their plan is, and I can guarantee LF won't go out like a sniveling pedophile like in the show. He would in the actual GOT world not a bastardized version of it, ie the show), if you were fine with people dying and coming back with no consequences, if you were fine with the " Seven Kingdoms" actually being 2 Kingdoms(where the fuck were the rest of the world in the finale of Season 7?). Man, I could go on but won't. You have your opinion that huge battles with CGI are the best, that's your opinion. Many don't.

Like someone said below that was good on Patric noticing that Jorah is reporting info on Khaleesi. A lot of reactors miss that for some reason. You guys really pay attention and your reactions are entertaining. And to Robcity, there is going to be A LOT of things on this show you haven't seen before. That's fo sho. Ive noticed this too, a lot of people miss it mostly because they dont know jorah by name yet, it takes a while to get familiar with the world and characters names because theres so many but theyre on top of their game!

Cersei was telling the truth when she said she felt nothing. The only thing she feels is her love for Jaime and her children.
Nah she feels a lot of fear due to her fortune from the bog witch and a lot a hatred for no real reason. She’s the only Lannister that’s insane.

It's crazy how spot on one of the reactors (not saying who) is when it comes to predictions each episode. Having watched this show 2-3 times now, it's interesting seeing what people predict and then seeing what their reactions are when they are right vs. wrong lol. can I suggest for later on, maybe in between seasons to also react to some trailers? they are so cool and so well made (and I admit that sometimes they actually helped me to remember important facts and/or conversations), maybe watch them after the seasons has ended (like watch the trailer for season 1 after you have watched the last episode of said season, and so on) so you can avoid spoilers..
"Long walk" is still my favorite trailer of them all (was for season 7, so can't wait for you to reach that one LOL)

Jamie would have won that fight without a doubt. Best swordsman at this point in westeros. Barristan Selmy would be a good match in his prime for Jaime, but thats about it as far as who is alive right now at this point in a 1 on 1 duel Jaime beats everyone in Westeros.
The bold is the best swordsman period in the books and show. Jamie doesn't even have that much experience in real fights
I agree he was in his prime the best, 100%. I also should say that the mountain or the hound could beat jaime at this point possibly. However, that is not because they are good swordsmen it is because they are fucking massive and strong as hell. But in terms of characters currently in the show id give it to the Jaime. A lot of people underestimate him but he is very talented. Though the bold would win in his prime, 100%.
