Hi Paul.I have been drawing with you for a long time, thanks for the support of my country - Ukraine. My native Kharkov is now under Russian bombs and missiles. After 10 days under bombs, we left for Western Ukraine. Now I'm painting with you again. You are my watercolor idol. Thanks!
Our hearts are heavy with sorrow for the heroic people of Ukraine, sending love and praying for peace for your country ASAP. Glad u r able to paint again 💗
A sign of hope that you are able to paint! Praying for peace for all of Ukraine!
Here in the USA we are praying for Ukraine daily.
Hi Iryna - happy to help in even some small way - hope you stay save - we are all thinking of you and hoping this madness comes to and end soon. - Take care.
Bless your heart from Texas, Iryna. The whole world is on your side.
Thankyou Paul for a wonderful short video
Glad you enjoyed it
Enjoyed so much! Love your matching T shirt!
Cheers!
Beautifully created video, music & oh that guy who paints, he’s pretty good too!
Thank you very much!
Well as for me I loved hearing about your dad. Caroline
Just discovered your website after seeing your comment to Steve Mitchell on Mind of Watercolor. I enjoyed the daffodil demo and look forward to viewing many more of your videos. Thanks from Idaho.
brilliant painting - can’t wait to have a go myself
Short and sweet...enjoyed your demo!
So beautiful. I painted it!! Thank you.
You’re welcome 😊
Gorgeous painting!!! ❤️. Daffodils do make seeds if left. These will blow on the wind and set seed, creating bulbs. That’s why you get really random ones appear in strange places!
Good to know! - thanks!
Oh, I didn't know. Thank you ❤
How interesting. It's too hot for them where I live, so I will enjoy vicariously.
We have loads of them where we live (North Georgia, US). They spread each year and pop up in surprising places! We call them “March flowers” locally since they bloom in early March even though we know they’re actually daffodils. They are the delightful first signs of spring. So pretty.
@@easternsecrecy9777 where do you live? They grow in Louisiana pretty far south.
Splendid good fun. Thank you.
Great tutorial! Thank you Paul!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I can't wait to try this!
Have fun Beth!
I just found you & love your loose work. ❤️
Hi Paul, I’ve just found your videos. This is the first one I’ve watched. Imagine my surprise when I saw the corner of the village green where I live!
Thanks and welcome Sue, amazing!!! - have you seen this video? - lots of local scenes including the Coach and Horses! - we must be just down the road from you at BSG! ruclips.net/video/YUFi67k5H2U/видео.html
I just painted it and it was lovely. Thanks 💕
You’re welcome 😊
I'm a new fan thanks to Jenna Rainey's recommendation. She was right, you're awesome! Thank you
Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful tutorial. I love daffodils. Such a cheerful flower. I will try this today. On an overcast day, will bring some cheer with Daffodils. Thank-you Paul. 🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖 Good luck and good health to your dad🥰
Thank you so much Sonia!
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
I love this short tutorial for daffodils! I’m getting ready to give it a go, in Texas!
Have fun!
God Bless your dad! Best of health and happiness to him in his new home. Thank you for sharing your talents with everyone. I am looking forward to trying the daffodil this week. They are one of my favorites - but they don't show up at home till late April/Early may
Thanks so much!!!
Thank you Paul. Your painting is an inspiration to me. ♥️
My pleasure 😊
I just found your Art since I used to be an acrylic artist. I am just learning how to do watercolour art almost gave up a couple of times lol But I'm getting the hang of it thanks to you. P.S I'm a Londoner living in Canada
You are so welcome and welcome Rosie!!
Great job 👏 👍 I enjoy learning from your painting. 😊
Yes,..all daffodils..are grown from bulbs....some nature lover, has planted them on purpose,..which is nice...
Beautiful 😍
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi Paul, after enjoying your videos, I am definitely going to try watercolours. I love your work!
Thank you so much 😀
Hi Paul, lovely daffodils. Squirrels dig up flowers from one area and replant them elsewhere. I've been "gifted" some lovely daffodils and tulips from the little beasties.
Wonderful - thanks!
Bonjour et merci pour ce magnifique tuto.
Bonjour Florence et merci aussi!
Think daffodils are the most happiest and positive flowers that just remind me of warm sunshine ❤️❤️
Me too - love em!
I hope your Dad is okay Paul. My elderly Dad is going for a nasty procedure today. He's 90.
I found your daffodil watercolour painting very relaxing to watch. There are many of tgem in the garden so to take my mind off things I think I'll pop in to my garden Studio and have a go! Thanks again. Enjoy your beer. 👏🤗😊
So glad to see your dalmatian Molly being ok. Beautiful footage of the flowers!
Thanks a bunch!!!
I always enjoy your videos; it provides some sanity in our crazy world. Hope all is going well with your father's home transition. He has made it to 98, we could all take lessons from him!
Thanks, you too!
Thanks Paul! I hope your dear ole dad gets settled into his new home with ease.
Cheers Lauren!
Absolutely beautiful, hope your dad is settled in his care home 🌻
Cheers Linda!
Paul, I do hope your dearest dad will be very happy in his new rest home.
Love your daffodils painting.
Many thanks
So cheery. Our wild squirrels replant our daffodils around the place like others have mentioned, such fun :) Thank you for sharing these smaller projects for beginners too. Have a creative week.
So nice of you, thanks 😊
Just discovered your lessons, what a generous thing to do. Loving the daffodil. Hope your dad settles in quickly
So special, daffies heralds optimism, your painting here just captures it all. Fabulous inspiring, going to try.
You can do it!
Merci pour ce tuto de saison... vite fait bien fait qui permet de se faire plaisir quand a peu de temps. J'aime bien ce format court pour s'entraîner tous les jours...
Hi Mr Clark ! I just discover you, I am a beginner of several years... (!) and very happy to have tried, and suffered a lot, with my first daffodil with you. Thank you so much for your generosity, it is very rare those times in France where we have many talentuous pros but not sharing their art like you do. Why ? I dont know. It is a supplementary difficulty but also an entertainment for english understanding !!!
Delighted you have joined us - many thanks!
98 fantastic!
Like all your videos this was fabulous! What I really enjoyed was the length of time this painting should take. Thank you for sharing and caring!
Thank you so much 😀
As a professional draughtsman and leisure painter, it’s often difficult to shake off the need for precision and accuracy, but you and your tutorials are a great help. I’m practising and improving. Many thanks. Best wishes to your father.
Another winner for me Paul. Female daffodils 🌼 who would of thought 💭🤓they are lovely 🥰
My Dad’s favorite flower , good luck with yours ❤️
Yellow is my favorite color. This flower made me feel full with spring. 💛💛💛
Same here!
A lovely short video to watch as I sit here in isolation with Covid! Thanks for keeping me sane: I might give this a go this afternoon 😉
Me too, so lovely to see a bright sunny daff.
@@pamteal5433 enjoy giving it a go x
Go for it Julie!!
You are a miracle teacher..one can be a good artist ...but good artist need not be a good teacher..YOU ARE BOTH..i admire ur paintings and I religiously follow you..
Dear Paul , I’m Stefania and I’m watching you from a little city near Venice, in Italy . Sorry for my little english but I’d like to tell you that your watercolours are so wanderful and you are a very , very joyful and nuce person and I cannot wait Wednesday is caming to see your new video. Thank you so much for your precious suggestions , I try always to put into practise 🤩🖼 good luck for your dear dad 🤗 see you soon, a big CIAO 👋 from Italy . Stefania 🌸
That Daffodil is remarkable ♥️♥️♥️♥️ Thanks
Very kind thanks Persa!
I live in a city, with parks and nearly wild green belts. When people clean their flower beds in the spring, they sometimes toss the scraps and clumps into the nearby woods, rather than pack them for disposal by the city. A little naughty, but the squirrels enjoy eating the broken/damaged bulbs. Sometimes , the bulbs survive, and take hold, resulting in random blooming tulips, lilies, and daffodils.
Thank you Paul really looking forward to trying this beautiful painting, best wishes to you and your Dad for what will be a huge day, my dad is almost 97 and we have to make this decision shortly too🤗
You are very welcome
God bless your dear daddy. Thank you for this beautiful tutorial. She is my favorite flower! I always think that when you find random flowers it’s because of an old homestead that was once there and all that remains are the daffodils 🌼
Thank you! Cheers!
What a happy painting. And short is good! All the best to your dad. Hope his transition to new home goes well.
Hi Paul, say hello to your dad. How lucky for you to have him. That is a nice cheery painting for sure. Have a wonderful day.
Thank you! You too!
HI Paul, thank you so much for this fun and super helpful video! I was looking for Daffodils tutorial for a Birthday card (March flower). I had so much fun and helped me loosen up a bit, still a noobie here and so much to learn. You have gained another subrscriber :-) Ciao.
Glad it was helpful!
Just in time for a lovely Mother’s Day card. Really hope it goes so well for your dad 😊

What a treat to watch you paint! So glad I found you!
Awesome, easy and fun painting! Thanks! Best to your Dad as well - 98! If we could all be that lucky!
.... just what I was thinking!!!
Thanks ,Paul, im enjoying your videos, from New Zealand. Now I just need to stop procrastinating and actually mess up some paper!

Gorgeous. Good luck Dad. He'll love this.

You are quickly becoming my favorite. Love you sense of humor and attitude. I have been painting realism for years and find it less than satisfying anymore. Thank you.
Wow, thank you Claudia!
98, God Bless him....i hope it goes smoothly for all involved.
Thanks for that!
Marvellous painting
Many thanks!
I’m such a realistic, watercolor painter, that I have such difficulty painting in this loose style. I thank you for sharing, so I can practice!
Thank you so much 😀
Hi Paul, I chuckled at your comment about your dad when you said “Bless his cotton Sox”. And yes what
wonderful age and more so a dutiful son you are. Hope he is well physically and mentally. Beautiful daffys.

Marty,
Will do Marty, many thanks 😊
Thank you for your beautiful painting. I retired am now trying to get back into painting. I do wish I had never walked away from it.
You can do it!
Thanks for this bit of spring. Still snow around here (Edmonton, Canada). Nothing like painting a daffodil to remind me that Spring will get here eventually. This should be fun.
Very welcome
What a sweet painting! Thanks for bringing a little bit of Spring to us.
I'm glad you like it
Thanks 😊
No problem 😊
Hello Paul - I hope your Father is nicely settled in. Thank you for taking the time to do this tutorial despite a busy week! I love daffodils and the movement in this tutorial. Must give it a go!
Many thanks!
Thank you Paul had been waiting for a long time for a floral tutorial
You’re welcome 😊
Love this! I've started some 4 x 6 cards cut from watercolor paper (that fit into inexpensive pre-purchased envelopes) to send periodic notes to family and students tutored. It gives me a chance to practice my watercolor and to share it with a purpose. This is perfect for that. Thanks!!
That's a great idea!
Thank you so much for this tutorial Paul .... I love everything about it, I have been practicing my loose paintings I find it so freeing and do so love the effects you can achieve, hope your dad soon gets settled, Thank you for your time making these tutorials they are very inspiring and you take the serious and sometimes overwhelming part of painting away... just give it a try and all will be well 😁😁😁
A lovely little painting, I didn't want it to end! All the best with your dad!
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you for the lovely daffodil! It does give one hope when we see it sprouting up , even in a world gone mad!
... I agree with that!
What fun! I love these loose daffodils.
Thanks Mary!
Wonderful tutorial! One of my favorites so far!
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice and fun painting,, thanks Paul. When bulbs come up randomly I usually think its from where a home once stood. That happens at a property I own the bulbs come up each year, but the house burnt down in the 1950s . Hope your Dad adjusts well to his new home.
Thanks 👍
Really enjoyed painting this daffodil Paul. Cheered me up. Really was fun! Hope your dear old Dad had a smooth transition. X
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi Paul. I've come back to painting after a break and was looking for a loose daff tutorial. I love the simplicity and quickness of this.. just what I needed right now. Painting like this really helps me to let go. Thanks!
Glad to help
Thank you and best of everything in your father's adjustment to a care home. It's never easy but I'll have a good thought about him, and you.
Very kind - thanks!!!
Thank you for your time in the midst of getting your dad moved and for sharing that with all of us! I wish him the best! I enjoy the loose watercolor and the blending of colors. No apologies for doing something short - this is perfect and so lovely!! :0)
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for the lovely tutorial, best wishes to your dad, I hope he settles in fine in the retirement home.
This reminds me Lord Byron's poem - now have your delightful painting to go with it I really like both : " I Wondered lonely as a cloud, That floats on high o"er vales and hills. When all at once I saw a crowd,. A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees. Fluttering and dancing in the breeze."
Thanks for that - love that poem too!
Hi Paul, I am afraid I have to apologize for the confusion, The beaufitil poem was actually not by Lord Byron' but it's perhaps another great poet simple musing on a field of yellow flowers that became Wordsworth's best-known and most-recited poem. "I Wandered Lonely As a Cloud" was written in 1802 after the poet ( William Wordsworth ) and his sister happened upon a field of daffodils during a walk. I am sure you would have had the same one according to your video.
Seriously, Paul, you have a Dalmatian and a cranky-looking orange tabby cat, and they ONLY just now made it into your videos! Thank you for a great video and for sharing your knowledge. You're hilarious and I enjoy your tutorials immensely -- even when I'm not painting them.
Glad you like them! lol! ... sadly, dear old Molly the Dally is no longer with us .... but she had a great life!!!
God bless your father and give him good health, thank you for a lovely painting. A lovely spring and see you next week , you are my happy and fun weekly meeting. Sorry for my poor english.
Thanks so much - your English is good!!!!
Another ray of sunshine lesson!!! Thank you so much for taking the time and best wishes for your dad.
