I’m 70 and starting the guitar for the fourth first time. I bought a “cheap” Zenison resonator guitar and been working on chords and tabs for a few months. I bought the resonator guitar in hopes of just entertaining myself here in the country on my front porch on summer evenings. I’ve watched your tuning video and this one, and subscribed to your channel. I’m old, but not too old to learn!! And, I only have to please, and entertain myself! I look forward to your lessons, Ma’am

I’m a uke player, and recently injured my left hand, so my Uke playing is temporarily off limits; however, I have a resonator uke that I tuned to an open G (g b d g) and I’ve been playing it in my lap like a dobro. It’s scratching my musical itch, but is proving to be quite challenging. Your video is helpful in that I’m a very visual learner and watching your hands work the instrument has given me something to focus on with my playing. I know scales for uke in standard tuning, but not for any open tunings. I’m hoping your videos might help there as the two instruments are cousins. You make it look so effortless! :)

Totally! I'm making a new CD right now, but I'll be back to making more of these videos soon! :)

Just keep expanding on the available pentatonic notes, for us till we got more than enough notes. Ya, and more than the blues sound. You know those lines that George Harrison would play that would sound so pretty they would bring a tear... like in Alvin Lee's The Bluest Blue.
    Thanks
