Some of the titles of these tracks are incredibly clever, SOS being a cry for help, but also in the context of Metalocalypse, stands for "Song Of Salvation"
Yeah, they have a couple of good ways to leave spoilers out from the movie.

Finished watching the movie.
It's hardly a comedy, and tonally isn't really anything like the series.
It's like a Heavy Metal version of End of Evangelion. It's a massive apocalyptic battle between the Army of the Doomstar lead by the band against Mr. Salacia and the Tribunal that's genuinely epic in scope. Absolutely didn't expect them to make something that fucking epic and cool.
I really got the impression that this was what Brendan was aiming for all along and to see him achieve it after all these years brings tears of blood to my eyes

@@necro5430 As awesome as it would be to have more Dethklok, I feel pretty confident in thinking this is the end for the band. Perhaps Brendan can be allowed to keep making music but as for the show I'd reckon it's time to say farewell.
Murderface’s arc was also surprisingly touching and emotional
The series started as just a silly show about violence, gore and Metal.
It progressivelly became more serious with each season.
Unfortunatelly, Metal just isn't very popular to be worth such a niche show, that's how the people funding it thought. And that was why it was SO hard to bring closure to Dethklok's story.
Season 1 was 20 episodes of 15 minutes.
Season 2 was 18 episodes of 15 minutes.
Season 3 was their peak. 10 episodes of 30 minutes
But season 4 had 12 episodes of 15 minutes. It was clear the show wasn't as popular as the network people expected.
So Brendon and Thommy pitched them a 5th season. They wanted 10 episodes of 15 minutes. Were talked into a single special of 45 minutes that premiered 4 years after season 4. After Doomstar Requiem premiered, Brendon was in talks with Adult Swim to fund Season 5. In 2015 he confirmed the show was de facto cancelled.
CN/AS shitheads tried to get a kick out of it trolling the fans for no reason. Fans tried to fund it, raising over 2million USD (that is REALLY impressive for a crowdfunding project) and pitching it to Hulu, but Adult Swim who held the rights for the show simply refused to let it hapen.
Now Army of the Doomstar finally hapened. It wasn't suppposed to be the end until AS lost interest and Brendon was forced to give the series closure. But it was originally meant to be a miniseries. I mean, the movie is great, but Brendon wanted to give us a little more than they let him.
If there ever is more Metalocalypse, I'd like them to create something between season 2 and 3, exploring the formation of the band and the character's backstory a lot more. Also more Zazz Blamymatazz music.
But this is it. There may be more Dethklok music. But the series is over.
Don't feel bad because it ended. Be glad it happened.
When this came on in the movie, I felt like I was one of the fans who was called upon to the final battle against Salacia.
I heard the full album at work the day the movie came and after seeing it in the movie it honestly fucking hits different
We are those fans, without the constant barrage of questions and support over the past 10 years, this might never have been made.

He did say that the door isn't fully closed when it comes to seeing metalocalypse again but don't hold your breath. He also said that he doubts that he'll get it out but there is a song on the album that would describe the future of dethklok so there's always hope, just wanted you to know😊
A fitting end to one of Adult Swim’s best series. Honestly, I’m sad to see it end since it just came back, but it was the perfect ending. Bravo!
Sad for Just Adult Swim cancelled this show. Even Metallica joined in an petition for the show not going be cancelled. all of this movies is the fans and Brendon small work.
And he says "thanks" in this ending Very Cleary.
Hopefully they go with Brandon's idea for another movie, but I doubt that will happen (he mentioned it in an interview, which he doubted they would as well).
@@henyvieira Adult Swim are total morons for dropping the ball the way they did with this show. They awakened a whole new beast bringing in the heavy metal community who are known for their diehard and loyal dedication to their favorite bands.
Adult Swim could've milked this for the last 10 years for every penny that metal heads had, and fans would've continued to come out in groves to show their support. It could've very easily been the most successful and profitable show in Adult Swim history. And they fucked it up royally.

Adult Swim lost interest, unfortunatelly. this happened way back in 2010 already.
They are a network with a profit to make and time slots to fill.
You might not agree with their business model, you might say you'd pay just to see Metalocalypse on a streaming service. But truth is, AS ran the numbers, did the math and reached the conclusion the show isn't profitable enough to fund. They're a business in the end, and if a business doesn't make money, there will be no business once they run out.
Metal just isn't as populat as it was back when the show premiered. It was already fading by that time.
Unfortunatelly, there will never be anything like Metalocalypse again.

This album and the movie was absolutely worth the wait. Thank you Brendon Small.
I listened to Dethalbum 4 in full before watching the movie of course. And I wasn't paying attention and thought SOS mean like the call for help. And then I saw they came out with the movie soundtrack and figured that Dethalbum 4 was just an added bonus and that none of the songs were in the movie. Then watching the movie when Aortic Desecration played I was like "Oh, so that's in the movie. Cool." Then as the movie went on right before they played SOS I was like "Wait a second. SOS. Oh shit that's the Song of Salvation!" It hit me right before the song played. I love how they hid that in plain sight and did not spoil that. That was brilliant.

@@Vasily_dont_be_silly honestly I just felt the format of it being a musical was kind of in the way. I’ve been bumping Dethalbum IV in the car and while my favorite Dethklok songs are Murmaider and Detharmonic, this is one of my favorite albums from them. I really liked this story too
