About Metalocalypse: Dethklok
Metalocalypse is Adult Swim's blackest, most brutal comedy. Coming straight to your face from Brendon Small (Home Movies) and Tommy Blacha, it centers around the band Dethklok, a global metal sensation with enormous economic power and social influence. Dethklok includes Nathan Explosion on vocals, Skwisgaar Skwigelf on lead guitar, Toki Wartooth on rhythm guitar, William Murderface on bass, and Pickles the Drummer as...himself. I heard more of a Krisiun kind of sound. The guitar solo starting with the high pitched squeal really threw me off, too. Hell, I thought I missed s new Krisiun release and accidentally clicked on this only to find it.

It sounds like Nathan's growl has sorta morphed into a mix of his deeper growls from the first Dethalbum and the style on the later Dethalbums. I like it! More forceful and in your face!
Its sick how nathans/brendens growls have gotten better and louder each album.
While I certainly love all the vocals on all albums, I will say I have a little extra love for those first vocals on Dethalbum 1. I kinda miss that simple, drier version.

They sound more like the vocals from the band Krisiun. Hell, most of the song sounds like one of theirs, but I'm not complaining.
@@eddiehardt1260 i do hear a little Alex from Krisiun for sure. Not to mention that thrash death element that Krisiun has is kinda there too. Theres alota obvious classic death metal influence there for sure. Ive dug the progression greatly.
@@thebroskeez i can understand that. Ill always have a nostalgic softspot for that first season/album. Not even simply for the nostalgia but because they hold up great as death metal albums. I just love seeing killer musicians get better each album. "Face fisted" and "briefcase full of guts" are UNDENIABLE tracks while we are talking about that album.

I saw Dethklok in 2009, and I'm seeing them again this year. I cannot begin to say how excited I am to see this band and series coming back for another go.
I saw them in 09 as well. The House of Blues in Dallas Texas. 10 feet from the stage and one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Rock on Dethklok! Never stop being brutal!

The sound and style is pretty different from previous dethalbums which is to be expected after 10 years.
Idk each album has a song that is similar to this. Briefcase, Dethsupport, and Starved/Killstardo all have the same vibe as this to me.
The vocals sound closer to Dethalbum 1, and not the weird whispers the later ones were. Thank god.

During a concert in 2010 the stage fell on my hand. I managed to pull back my amputated limb and rose it towards the stage, my Cubitus and Radio mimicking the devil's horn. Nathan explosion looked at me and nodded. GO DETHKLOK!!!!

The last time I saw Dethklok the sound waves knocked the gigantic tower speaker over, squashing the far left side of the audience, the top of the speaker hit a keg truck leaking beer everywhere. The the electronics of the speaker mixed with the beer electrocuted the rest of the left half of the audience to a crisp. I got to see it from the right side when the power surge blew several spot lights and the hot glass fell melting onto our heads and into our eyes. I’m the only one from my row to survive but I’m now blind. DETHKLOK RULES! Can’t wait to see them again!

I'm not the most familiar with Dethklok's stuff, but this seems a lot more old school death metal than their other stuff which sounds to me like modern death metal meets amon amarth style melodeath

The melodeth is still there but this is imo the most refined Dethklok has ever been, and I enjoyed them from the start. I'd say try the albums and you'll *probably* find at least one song from each that you like. They're kinda overproduced generally, but I fucking love it.

0:46 it took me a while to notice but now this bugs me. the lyrics say "Madness has entered your soul" but it sounds more like he's saying "Fear has entered your soul" to me.
I'm pretty sure it's "Failure" which given the subject matter fits. It's really really funny that the video's creator can't understand Small's singing and misunderstood the lyrics, much like no one can understand what Nathan is singing anyway so he can say whatever
