    I like your reviews, I also like the fact that you pay for all your equipment so I can trust your judgment.
    While I watch all the channels for information I can't really trust what they say because they receive all their equipment for free.
    It's totally different when you have to use your own coin for this stuff. Thanks for being honest.
    I just subscribed.

      Thanks matey, some reviews I do have some things that have been sent my way but will always say that in my videos. Also I do buy allot of sim stuff, especially if it’s something that I want 🤩 so I will always have reviews of things I bought, that I’m sure of. But at same time for building this channel I can’t say no to a company if they send things my way. Like I have a Camus C5 review coming up that would be a product I would not buy for myself at this stage but would have loved if it was available when I started my sim racing journey.
      I consider myself an honest person and you will see videos of me recommending & not recommending products regardless of how I obtain them.

  • @reviewforthetube6485
    @reviewforthetube6485 6 месяцев назад +2

    This may get peoppe mad, but the new dd+ feels very much like asetek now. Way it moves, the weight, grip and details. Makes sense though both have slew rate of 6.2-6.3nm/ms but the way it feels is amazing now. Also they state the simucube pro is 8nm/ms but even asetek tested the simucube pro and it was 6.3 same gors for the ultimate which they rate at 9nm it also didnt go sbove 6.3. So seems like all of the monsters true slew rate is 6nm/ms so makes sense why they all feel so quick and fast with ffb translations.
    Have a feeling simucubes next product is gonna annihalte everyone. Since there 4 year old tech is still able to feel as good as the new stuff haha. I will say when fanatec gets that full force out idk how anybody will beat the feel. Even with the issues with fanatec right now im rooting for them to come through and get back at top again on day!
    I will say idk what it is but asetek feels lime it always has less understeer then the simucube does. If you realize when turning in you were able to turn in sharoer with the asetek.

    • @TheSimCircuit
      @TheSimCircuit  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes slew rate probably the most important element of a good dd but I think it’s starting to become a marketing gimmick also. Just in my experience to notice the difference between say 6 & 8 ms slew rate is so minute you need to be an expert pianist to pick up on. I do agree with you that fanatec has closed the gap significantly. This month the simucube 2 is actually 5 years on the market 🤯

    • @reviewforthetube6485
      @reviewforthetube6485 6 месяцев назад

      @@TheSimCircuitCrazy right? The fact simicube was that advanced? Like what? I think all of these dd wheels are now perfectly fine. Peoole can enjoy any of them. Tbh yeah thwy all feel good with ffb but i do notice differences with each base with turning in, understeer effects grip and so on. some dont think that wheelbases change that to much but Ibbelieve they do. Asetek turn in is so sharp it feels like the grip is there almost at all times feels like you can be more aggresive with it and thats how ive been feeling with my dd+ over my simagic

    • @reviewforthetube6485
      @reviewforthetube6485 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@TheSimCircuitbut I cannot wait until you try the dd+ please please review the dd+ not the dd because it's clear just like the csl dd pro this base was made to be used at its peak potential the 15nm not the 12nm. The details the center forces everything. It's the only base ive used besides asetek where the forced never leave 100% of the time unless its loss of grip etc. So the control is just better in general. It actually does make you more consistent and faster imo because of that. But yeah the whole 6nm thing the reason the simucube doesn't feel like more I'd because it's been tested and there 8 to 9nm/ms was a lie. It's been tested to be around 6.2/6.3 just like asetek and just like the dd+ now. So yeah thats probably why you didn't notice much difference with that part because there wasn't much haha.

    • @TheSimCircuit
      @TheSimCircuit  5 месяцев назад

      I would love to test the dd+ and hopefully will in future but at the moment I buy 99% of everything you see on my channel. I also don’t own a fanatec wheel anymore so would need to buy the base and a wheel and I can’t do that at the moment 😢
      I hear what you saying bout simucube and astek that makes sense 🤔 perhaps later this year I will look into Fanatec again 🙌🏻

      Matey a few weeks ago I would 100% have said Asetek because your getting the great QR, Usb ports at back of base the light strips now have functionality rather than just being decorative. But simucube now has more detailed force feedback with 360hz on iRacing. At first I was not sure but just last night I put back my asetek base back on to test the new race hub 3.0 settings and there was a noticeable difference in ffb where as before I found the 2 bases to be very similar I now believe simucube has the edge on that front. I am sure that Asetek will be bringing 360hz to their bases but when I don’t know.
      One thing I do know, it does not matter which one you are picking you will be happy with both. I myself will be running my asetek base now as I can’t be bothered swapping again lol and I like the extra features it gives me 🤷🏼‍♂️

    So what caused this insane shaking? Clearly the cars dont drive like that, what was that setting?

    • @TheSimCircuit
      @TheSimCircuit  Год назад

      No cars don’t shake like that, was just showing how much power these bases have, putting your base on max NM and also putting all dampening effects to 0 gets u to shake like that.
      Depends on car but normally you have independent settings for what ever type of car you drive so your base knows how to respond. What I done here would never be used to as actual settings for racing. Hope that helps

    hi, great review. question did you experience any usb disconnections, i'm running an invicta on ams2 and see ffb disconnects.

    • @TheSimCircuit
      @TheSimCircuit  Год назад

      Hey mate I don’t run ams2 but I did have trouble the odd time when I was using a usb-c to usb-c. Asetek also recommend you use usb-c to usb-a. Hope it’s as easy as that.
      I also seen on user forums some people the ffb switches of between loading screens on certain sims. So doing a qualifying then loading in to race their ffb will disconnect. Asetek as far as I know, knows about this issue and is working on resolving it.

  • @mosey4650

    so why was the asetek so wonkly at full power? that seems like a mis-interpretation of what should be going through the wheel or something?

    • @TheSimCircuit
      @TheSimCircuit  Год назад

      Think it could be because of the play I had in wheel (currently my wheel away to Asetek so will know when it comes back) but also the front mount has a little flex in it no matter how tight I make the bolts. I will be getting a like a Simcore front mount when they get released. The simcore front mount I have for simucube is solid af and does not move period no matter the force I put on it.

    i sold the simucube 2 pro and ordered an invicta, i just think asetek took what simucube had and dragged it that one step further and the prices were close enough it was not a big loss for me. One thing i do think it lacking with Asetek currently is they just do not seem to have the logistics in place for this launch, ive been waiting months for my unit which should not be the case, they said in an interview (andre specifically) that they wouldn't have a stack of third party sellers if they couldn't provide them with stock... well i know for damn sure where i ordered from they have no stock and they are an official distributor.
    A small critique on your review if i may... i enjoy your content and your setup however i find the pacing a little slow, i put the video on 1.5x and it was very watchable and made the driving sections rather funny to watch aswell, but i wouldnt watch at less than 1.25x i have to be honest, but thanks for the video's. Also rumor has it that the bolt stuck to your shifter magnet at 6.38 is still there to this day... just incase you are missing a bolt somewhere :)

      I do things at a slow pace I know lol and that’s me trying to narrow video down, might just speed things up in future thanks.

    I got the upgraded kill switch for my simucube pro 2 well worth it and it as the on off switch a little blue light pops on, this way you dont have to switch that button in back on and off. Big help

      Agree, the Simucube 2 pro premium kill-switch is great. I upgraded from a DD2 and Im glad I did, so much smoother and it feels like it has so much more potential. I considered the Asetek but the plastic finish and inferior mounting option put me off (flex in the front mount). I ended up going all in with the simucube pedals - as they say invest once in a premium product as it saves money in the end...

    One system that doesnt get mentioned anymore is the Bodnar's Simsteering V2. I guess the reason is because its pretty old. Its price tag is still pretty steep. Does anyone has any experience with the Bodnar V2 and any of the latest top end motors like the DD2 and SC2 Pro/Ultimate and cares to describe how they compare FEEL wise? If you only have experience with one please dont comment. I only want to hear from those that have experience with the Bodnar V2 and other top end servos.
