Thx, needed a refresher. And works like a charm, especially on quantized music.
Did you connect the turntable directly to the djs1000 or do you need a preamp?
this and the amen break are my alltime favorit break loops :)
Hello good afternoon Could you tell me how you connect the turntable to the djs 1000? I can't record samples I don't know how to do it
Can this connect to my tractor s4 mk3? And can it run with tracktor software?
Hi, just watched this. My question is can you manually set the bpm instead of waiting for the unit to do it? I pretty much bpm all my vinyl. Just curious. Thank you for this demonstration. I just purchased it. Just for the auto looping.
I really enjoyed your videos, very enlightening.
even here from brazil
Nice video. Been chatting with my buddies about this new kit. Seriously thinking about ordering one to see if I can incorporate it into my Akai MPC-X based production set-up.
Can it be connected to any pioneer CDJ? You just saved my life with this video I was afraid I couldn’t connect my turntable to it
Great Video,
Does djs-1000 have headphone input to listen thru for more of Freestyle live Jamming?
Hey some great advice there I’ve just got my djs and working things out is there a way to copy a slice from a sample so I can use that slice in scale if that makes sense ??
Sorry, I only had the DJS for a few months back when I made these videos. It was on a short term loan from Pioneer DJ, so I don’t remember if it has that ability. I think you can do it with Maschine and definitely MPC. But unfortunately Pioneer DJ seem to have left this one underdeveloped as far as I can see. I
Bpm fader for samples/recording? Can you pitch post-recording too??? This is a BEAST!
i would love to have this machine to be able to live sample my vinyl and live remix on the spot. ahving that pitch fader makes it a great machine to combine with vinyl, much better than any looper pedal
I Want to Rock right now I'm Rob Base and I came to get down😂😂😂😂😂
This is fantastic. Really helpful. I haven’t bought one yet but I’m looking at as much information as I can. I have a question. What would the DJS be like for sampling / creating more “cheesy” dance music that was based around vocals and piano? Would it be any good for creating piano riffs over the top of vocal samples and looping that into a love set?
Yes it’s probably ideal for that genre from what I remember
Hello there- in the video, you said you didn’t have a mixer- I’m just curious how you connected the turntable and djs 1000. Thanks!
I had it connected to my MPC phono jacks with the MPC going into my mixing desk (not DJ mixer) and was going line out from that to line in on the DJS
TUBE DIGGA So basically, if I wanted to sample from vinyl and used my DJM S9 for phono in, would I use the Master OUT to go I to the DJS 1000?
How did you connect it
Hello buddy! Hey I like to know if it can time stretch or warp! Like the mpc, I’m loading a stick with samples from my chops on mpc 126 bpm so if I leave the djs1000 at 120 bpm it don’t correct it. Can you help?
Do you connect the turntable directly, or do you need a mixer, to sample vinyls in the DJS-1000?
Here he didn't use a mixer for sure
You can connect directly if your turntable has line out
Hey Tube Digga...was wondering. I've seen your comments regarding how you connected for this video. Do you think you could run the turntables through your mixer, and use your mixer's "send/return" feature to send audio to the DJS 1000?
James Eaton Possibly, I haven’t had the DJS for a couple of years now so it would be impossible for me to check
@@TUBEDIGGA thanks for the response. I've got one on the way, so I'm trying to absorb as much information as possible. Thanks for all of the awesome content that you post.
I ve djm 750mk 2 and sampler but couldn't play with them.... I wasn't home for a while today I bought send CABLES TRS 1/4 .... Must spend some time for sure
@@35ozgur I've had my rig for about a year now. How you hook it up, depends on how you want to use it live.
If you tend to pre-program your DJS-1000 with all of your samples, and don't want to sample live from your mixer, then all you need is a standard RCA from your DJS to your DJM.
If you want to sample live from your mixer, then you need to use one of the following approaches:
Send/return sending from your DJM to your DJS.
Audio out from your DJM (either RCA, or 1/4 inch) to your DJS, and then RCA out from your DJS and back into the DJM.
Type cable for connect turntables?
It depends on your turntable. Professional ones like the Technics one in this video have built in RCA phono connectors (phono level), but some modern turntables have 1/4” jacks (line level).
if you just have vocals do you just record with the bpm of your project… like say homer simpson quotes lol. i want to chop them up.
Just got my DJS-1000 yesterday and loving it so far. Quick question: is there a way to adjust the beat grid on a recorded sample?
Antunica Gaming if you mean in a similar way to Ableton for stretching purposes then no, not as far as I can remember I no longer have the DJS1000.
i mean like on a CDJ how you can shift the beat grid if it is off slightly. not any warping, just fine tuning the position of the grid
Antunica Gaming Not exactly, but you can adjust the sample start point
Antunica Gaming why did you sell the djs?
SO how are you connected to the DJS have you just got RCA's going straight into it?
Can you capture it through a mixer?
Desty1X My turntable is connected to the phono inputs on my MPC and my MPC is going into my studio mixing desk - the DJS is receiving line out from that so I can sample multiple sources. It doesn’t have phono inputs so you have to use something else that does and use line level from that basically.
🔥🔥🔥
May get this machine but I'm curious if anyone knows if i can get a dirty/lofi/late 80s early 90's quality sound out of it.
Yes you can. If you want to hear it in action, check Tubedigga's DJS-1000 remake of 93 'til Infinity
How much recording time can I make?
@@TUBEDIGGA
I speak sampler time? not by memory
Rafael Juruna Sorry I couldn’t see your comment was regarding the DJS1000. I don’t have the DJS any more so I can’t answer this.
@@TUBEDIGGA okay thank you
@@TUBEDIGGA look like you ditched it? Doesnt work for DJs?
@@Mixalot140 I had this on a short term loan from Pioneer DJ, I didn't ditch it, I had to send it back.
Hi, thanks for the video. I use mine with vinyl as well. Its a huge let down because I have new carts on the decks, a nice DJM900NXS2 which does 96khz. When the playback from the sample comes from the DJS-1000 you can hear the drop in sound quality because its only playing back at 44.1khz. What a huge let down. Definately not pro gear as the bullshit pioneer marketing machine would have us believe.
Nobody can hear the difference between 96khz and 44.1khz lol
