    It's Spring and that for me means it's time to cut up some of the plants I've been holding back on propagating over the Winter. Watch me chop up my large philodendron glorious and then talk through some of the other plants I've cut, as well as the whys and the hows! Hope you enjoy and as always feel free to comment what you're doing with your plants as we hit Spring in the Northern hemisphere!

    Hi James, I just discovered you Channel today on RUclips, Great Work! Can I add something to youre happiness: the Ph. X Verrucosum is like most of the Ph. a tree-grower so a moss-pool is the common thing to do, but in fact the plant loves moss all around his roots on every nood....some garden plants make a horizontale rootstock, consider Ph. making a vertical rootstock and give them verticale “Mos-Bark-Soil”. And because by doing this they feed on composting leafs so you are very welcome to give them every day youre left over tea... THEY WILL LOVE IT! Hello from the Netherlands.

    So impressed by how much you maximize the space in your grow tent. I have the 2'x4' and it feels like it barely holds anything let alone mature specimens.

    Beautiful. All of them. When I see videos of large plants it's the only time I am not more than happy w the propagation process. Which means I've started w small cuttings and plants w my beginning plant journey. I can't even decide what large plant to get.
    Any suggestion on an easy care large plant would be appreciated. Other then my obsession w SANSAVERIA ANYTHING, philodendron and pathos are my favs
    Thank you for the courage to try. ❤🌱

    Cut my large mother verrucosum plant last week and propping in perlite after gving them a bit f a head start with air layering (had to change to perlite as the airlayering was too heavey and i had no way of properly supporting the plant), was nerve raking but both cuttings are doing well :D

    Plant goals, they are so lush! Thanks for sharing your air layering experience, the lower leaves of my philos seem to like to yellow and die off so I want to air layer since the bottoms are bare. Have you had that happen before? Would love a fertilizer and soil mix video unless you have it within one of your old videos 🙂

    Hi James! Just wondering what light % you have your grow light on in your large grow tent? I just received mine, the same model as yours, and I have it at around the 25% mark.

    I'm new to using moss poles. I would like to hear how you encourage climbers to hold-on to it with their roots (is it ok to keep it moist at all times?) And whether it is sufficient for rooting. In my area they dry-up quickly and don't know if this works.

    Thank YOU for sharing. I always enjoy watching your videos. Thank YOU...
    Is it better is airlayer root it or water propagate it?

  • @desrtangl
    @desrtangl 3 года назад

    I love air layering. It's the only method that has worked well for my philodendron. However, how do you chop and prop anthurium? I have some fairly large plants I would like to propagate but can't find any solid info on how to do it. Maybe a new "how to" video for the future?

    This has happened to me 4x in the last year with my Albo Epipremnum! I'm currently down to just a few leaves trying to root, but this plant seems to kick off its shoes without warning!
