I loved this video as you took me to so many places I remember from my childhood and teens. I have lived in Scotland for all my adult years, so it was brilliant to see these places again! And the rail carriage - I remember those really well, too! I'm sorry your holiday together has come to an end though.
Gosh Andrew , what a lovely video , gorgeous CL. , Rye looks a pretty wee place , lots to do and see , as for Eastbourne ,I suppose COVID has taken its toll etc., as you say Hastings so much better, and as they say it's in the blood , you certainly do enjoy your trains Andrew , these volunteers do a brilliant job , bet you have lined one up for your retirement in the future , ohhhhh East Grinstead the home of Plastic Reconstruction Surgery , the Surgeons I worked for back in the 70s trained there under Sir Archibald McIndoe and Professor Harold Gilles , spent my whole career happily in charge of Twin Operating Theatres for 30years , so hearing the words East Grinstead was music to my ears , great footage as usual , love you videos , happy travels , happy life , happy dogs , best wishes 😊❤😊
Lovely video, thanks Andrew, Dougal and Ted, wonderful series. So pleased you all had a super holiday. We've just enjoyed a trip in the Kent and East Sussex Steam Railway from Tenterden to Bodiam. ❤️🚐🐾 Xx
We watched this video with great interest. A couple of years ago we followed a similar itinerary. We cycled from Norman’s Bay to Hastings and Eastbourne and made the same assessment about them . Bexhill is nice, there is a delightfully situated cafe in an Edwardian seafront construction: worth a visit. We then moved on to Crowborough as you have done. The Bluebell Railway was having a beer festival, but driving constraints influenced our consumption! Keep up the good work! R&M
Hari OM Well, you certainly didn't let the timetables slip! It would've been rude, right? 😄Scotland misses you, but it is so good to see you smiling and enjoying caravanning again! Ear chucks to the wee lads. YAM xx
Lovely video but, then again, this is no surprise. It seems to have been a really pleasant holiday so it was nice to have been brought along with you. Thanks.
Was so good to see another video from you pop up and it was delightful as ever. Love love love seeing the doggies on their travels with you. It was all put together so perfectly as always. Will look forward to your next one. Take care. Xx
Really nice video.. You've given Sandra and I a fair few ideas for sites and things to do.. Funny enough we were just tucking into an evening afternoon tea.. I prefer toasted teacakes to S gones.. lol.. Thanks for the videos.. Dan and Sandra
Love it...Ted is a mini Dougal...He has learnt from the master...keep your cards close to your chest and give nothing away....Thanks for another lovely video...I'm sure the boys enjoyed it really X
Hello Andrew. Love your steam train videos. Looks great on full screen. I thought I had been on the Bluebell Line, so I checked back. Nope, it wasn't that one, I have been on the Watercress Line. Love to doggies. ilona
It's such a shame when local cafes shut and companies like Costa make billions selling rubbish in plastic wrappers. I can honestly say I've never spent money in a Costa or Starbucks and never will if I can help it. In other news, I think we can all agree that the new era of stress free vlogging Andrew is producing shines through. 😊
Great to see you & the furries again. Some good layouts & beautiful gardens today. O those carriages remind me of hoping for a seat in the morning rush hour on the trains from Kent Coast up to Central London in the 60s! Glad you enjoyed your hols x
Hello Andrew, pleased to see you are so happy at the moment! Another great video; Katie and I will have to explore the south coast sometime soon, it’s a long time since I lived down there in my navy days! We were at Wyatt Covert in the middle of August (35 deg 🥵🪭) and I must say we were pleasantly surprised, we were a little worried with its proximity to the M25 and the HS2 works, however it was peaceful (other than the light aircraft), clean and tidy and really handy for Wembley where we went to see Starlight Express! Keep up the good work, all our very best wishes, Tristan & Katie
Two great videos following your trip in the Adria Dart. We used to live in Rye so it was a trip down memory lane for us. We’ve been looking at houses for sale on Rightmove since watching! Thanks for sharing.
This episode was as good as the first! Love the model railways, especially the quirky one at the end!! Hope your partner enjoyed his holiday! Can we at least know his name?! I'm making notes of all these wonderful places to visit when we get our van! Soon I hope! Enjoy Dusseldorf if you go and happy birthday for next week! Take care, hugs xxx 😘🥰🐶🐕
Those are some lovely spots…and some great weather, too. Someone took exception with me calling your trip a “staycation” on the first half. I even used the quotes to differentiate it from a true staycation. Can’t please everyone, I guess. Cheers!
It’s lovely to see all the old trains , carriages and stations . 🚉 people really have taken a great pride in maintaining them all . Also as you said Andrew hats off to the volunteers maintaining the shrubs and flower beds on the stations , they do a fantastic job , it all looks smashing 😊
Thank you so much for this series, Andrew! How nice it is to have you back with such lovely content. And we found it very useful as we plan to visit that region next year. 👍 Will you visit CSD this year? Cheers!
Saw one of the units was built at St Rollox works in Springburn Glasgow where I was brought up…I knew loads of guys that worked there ….now a huge Tesco and Costco
Great exploration and info for us about the lovely towns and especially the heritage railways. One day we might get over there to visit them. Re the Adria Altea Dart, do you have any idea what the towball load for it is? I looked at their website and found it has an overall load of 1360kg, which could make it towable within the max tow-load of our Hyundai Ioniq 6 of 1,500kg, even allowing for stores and clothing. However we have a max towball load of 100kg. I could not see any specs about this measure. Never likely to tow one as they are not sold in Australia but it's nice to be alert to what could become available maybe..... one day!
I noticed your adapter fitted in the EV6 V2L unit with it tight shut. I’ve had trouble with this in the past due to the design of the uk plug. Is there something specific that you have done?
It's a pain, but an old-fashioned self-wired 13a plug allows the tight bend necessary in the cable to be able to close the cover. It's a design flaw Kia needs to address.
Beautiful shot of sunset with reflection in the window.
What a wonderful and relaxing series this was. 😍 lots of to Andrew, give Dougal & Ted hugs from me xxx
That was a delight Andrew. Thank you and take care.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Another beautifully produced video. Many thanks Andrew! (Love to the doggies! xx🐾🐾)
Glad you enjoyed it!
How lovely, I could almost smell the trains, I was back travelling with my mum and sister in the 60s. I’m a bit older than you. Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Lovely to see a spring in your step Mr D ❤

Sounds like something to put right one day Ilona ;)
Great video and lovely to see you so happy and back to your old self. Take care.

Super! Hope you enjoyed the show.
Looks like a great holiday you've had. Hopefully your partner enjoyed himself too, enough to go caravanning again in future!

Not cheap in Rye though, are they? :-/
@@andrewjditton We couldn’t believe it!
A truly splendid vlog MrD thank you 👏😌. Regards, Mo 😊👍
Cheers Mo!

So much Beauty 🙏🙏🙏😊
Another fabulous video. Thank you Andrew. Sad you had to continue without your partner.
Super video Andrew, glad to see the dogmeisters in good form. Hope your partner had a good trip home, and I’m looking forward to the next adventure.
Thanks 👍
I'm glad you enjoyed the Crowborough train connections as much as we did at our Easter Break, although you had better weather.
Thank you for the relaxing tour.
Our pleasure!
Those are some lovely spots…and some great weather, too. Someone took exception with me calling your trip a “staycation” on the first half. I even used the quotes to differentiate it from a true staycation. Can’t please everyone, I guess. Cheers!
Welcome to my life... ;)

Ooh I think that’s the lay-by just by Uckfield! My brother lives in Crowborough and I live very close to the Bluebell. I can hear it most days!
Correct! Useful to wait the obligatory 15 minutes.
Awwe tired doggos!
Thank you so much for this series, Andrew! How nice it is to have you back with such lovely content. And we found it very useful as we plan to visit that region next year. 👍 Will you visit CSD this year? Cheers!
Yes, I'll be there the first weekend :)
I love the look of the European travel trailers. They are more futuristic than the ones in the US.
Saw one of the units was built at St Rollox works in Springburn Glasgow where I was brought up…I knew loads of guys that worked there ….now a huge Tesco and Costco
Freshly overhauled 34059 Sir Archibald Sinclair looking stunning. I wonder who that handsome fellow is at 4 mins 50? 😉
Well spotted ;)

These caravans are max 100kg on the nose
You should be paid a big fat fee byt the tourist board. Hi Ted and Dougal.❤

@@andrewjditton I was wondering if it was possible to get a Kia V2L adapter from Europe and then use a European plug to caravan cable?
