You guys do my favorite battle reports on YT, easily. Just give the tactical overview, tell us what happened, and explain what decisions were made. None of that nonsense where I watch two guys roll dice and tell bad jokes for three hours.
Glad you like what we do! I used to watch a lot of the 3-4 hour batreps but I just don’t have the patience for it any more. I like a higher density of info so would rather watch shorter, information packed videos.
Great game guys, really enjoying these quicker battle reports (the summary turn format is on point) just 1 little side note. Apparently WTC and ITC rule that Drop Pod doors remain closed when deployed, to reduce their massive footprint, but your going up against Necrons so its 100% fine by me :)
Thanks for watching! In previous editions it specifically stated in the drop pod rules that you could deploy them opened or closed. Wasn’t sure why they didn’t put that in this edition. I didn’t realize WTC and ITC rules it that way but I’ll keep it in mind for the future.
Glad to have been here since the beginning and seeing you chanbel and swtup develoo and grow. Great content, Deathwatch and Deathguard brought me to this channel. Keep it up guys! Necrons are gross 😅
Hey!...how can you csay there gross there very clean machine with polished necrodermis ...pretty sure those deathwatch smell bad I'm that power armour and deathguard speak for themselves.
@@timmsnation723😂 necrons need to go back to sleep, deathgaurd take that as a conpliment and space marines probably do smell after being in that power armor for so long
Those two guys would be devastated being left behind. Number them 1 thru 10 and roll a d10 to pick the odd man out. It would simulate them drawing straws. No way would they volunteer. Have them switch off weapons
@@timmsnation723 I think they won't do that badly, there is some play in IA and you were able to get momentum and control, it just needs a little something like an army rule and I think it would click and be a solid B army.
I don't only because I feel like we are already spending so many points in other nonessential resources his 100 is a bit steep for me. What I'm noticing is the opportunity to use non mounted or vehicle units with and overlord and reduce cp spent into them.
Its necrons only tank vehicle, it's only t9 and 14 wounds, and one of the few units in the necron index that has more than 24" or less on its ranged weapons. Its main weapon is stupidly swingy in its output into monsters and vehicles getting between 2 and 7 attacks. Thats between 8 and 28 damage before saves hitting on between 2+ and 4+ depending on the situation. The strength buff from 14 to 18 only changes it so its wounding t9 vehicles on 2+, with no benefit for that change into anything higher than t8 or t9 specifically. Its gauss flayers are a joke, being 10 warrior guns strapped onto it. 200 points before was ok for it but if it was any higher it wouldnt be used as much, like when it was 230 points at the start of 10th.
@@danjones3012 I can see your point. That main cannon is very powerful though. I think 200 or maybe even 210 the same price as a Redemptor would be okay. It doesn't have a 2+ armor save or 10+ toughness. But they are really scary things for 190 points.
@@XHobbiesPrime when it comes to single model units (usually monster/vehicles) toughness matters alot because of the strength of anti tank weapons. T9 lets it get wounded on 4+ or better by meltas and other st9 weapons. Like the silent king only being t10 he can get wounded easier by more things, st6 weapons needing 5+ instead of 6+. The big gun might be scary to terminators and elite infantry but its mid level output wise based on its points vs other armies tanks.
Custodes forgeworld grav tank and tau have a battle suit mech that are both directly comparable units to the DDA, their big weapon being dmg4 aswell. Imo they both have better effective output and synergy combos with their army rules. Shatter Star is the first detachment to have something to offer for synergy with the DDA and even then it's only really vs targets on an objective so half the game or less for it's preferred targets.
necron rules are so stupid they dont line up with anything else in the game, completely overpowered and poorly written. Great on deathwatch and shame on necrons.
The new detachment is a bit weird. Vehicle and mounted based but lacks some elements for synergy. It's strong but I'm noticing the builds seem weird for what the detachment wants to do.
the rules were not meant to be push or optimize to a extreme state on a competitive level. Hence why the detachment suffers to score points that are not killing focus. it you force all on damage out the list.
That silent king model is massive, lol! Really like how u guys condense ur battles, thanks for the content!
Glad to hear you like what we do!

Was there a Battleshock test at -1 for the Ophydian Destroyers in the charge phase right after the Terminators charged them? 36:50
Nope. I forget the battleshock ability of the terminators ALL. THE. TIME.
I think i rolled high for them but yes Lane never remembers battle shock abilities lol
Yea buddy I have both of these armies. Can’t wait to watch this

Next time will make Lane do a trial by fire.
19 minute mark, “definitely hate necrons.” Definitely hate necrons this edition lol
Rude lol
Just messing around btw
I say “hate” because they have been strong all edition and their rules are so good.

When is the Agents vs Deathwatch match :D see how much the new DW punches down :P
Oh man, that would be brutal.
Soon been a lot going on with new detachments and tournments Lane and I need to put the army back together...lot of little dudes lol
And now that I can see the army in the app it makes it easier to build.

@concrescience3642 I want to try the new detachment just because it's there. Then start looking back at the Navy fleet.
nice game don't you think that imotek is "mandatory" to farm the cp to use the startagems at their max?

Doomsday Arks are criminally undercosted. 190 is way too low.
They are very cheap...I think this is the only detachment that can really use them though because of there physical size and random shots
