This is how I would fix the problem: 1) Two separate countries (Palestine finally recognized by Israel and Israel also recognized by all Muslim countries) but Hamas must leave from power and Palestinians must find a new leader that can work towards international peace and trade. 2) Hamas must return all those they KIDNAPPED back to Israel because they are innocent 3) International trials for all Palestinians now in Israeli prisons (some will be freed and others jailed depending on the crimes committed ) 4) Israel must have clear access to water for international trade. 5) Both Israel and the New Palestinian Government must work together (by contract) on any one or more aspects of Economic, Religious or Ecological prosperity with short , medium and long-Term goals to achieve. ETC (I would add a few other things but need to go get ready for class)

The anti-Palestinian view is not entirely about the genocide, but involves the overall distrust of Hamas and the Islamic regime. I don't agree with their entitlement on campus and audacity to think that they were given a delusional authority where they decide what is the truth and what is not. The facts are there: they have intimidated students and they have refused to understand why there is even a war in the first place. And the war just to be clear is not just between Israel and Palestine, but between Western culture and Islamic principles. That is the larger picture. The encampments need to be dismantled. They have invalidated other students fears and dismissed them and attributed them as being a matter of a difference of opinion and had the audacity to say that those people need to seek mental health treatment in an interview with ctv. In fact, I believe the protesters are projecting and need mental health treatment because fear for your safety is not a disease, but hatred and anger and violence need to be treated with therapy. I question their morality and believe the goal of this protest is political power, to put it bluntly. They have numbers and they want to live their lives by their Islamic beliefs. "Islam does not adapt to society, but society adapts to Islam." It comes down to values. I believe Western values are worth preserving. We are losing our values because the people being immigrated do not abide by the same values and they are becoming greater in numbers. It's all interconnected.

It is heartening that our justice system sided with those who are protesting a genocide as well as who are protesting the forced famine of children, adults, and elderly who call Gaza their home. Please, do not get me wrong. I am clear on the fact that Hamas is host to terrorists and that Netanyahu as well as his enablers have engaged in and continue to engage in crimes against humanity. With that said, I am hoping that our Jewish community(ies) may choose to be linked side-by-side with the protestors as the end goal is to stop the mindless ending of the lives of non-combatant children, adults, and elderly. Equally, I am hoping that the pro-Palestinian protestors will not embrace nor be a soap box for rhetoric which lessens the value of an Israeli life. Any life in Gaza is equal to any life in Israel. Unity may be the only path. 🕊🌸
