This is such a great end to the E30 build series. A great set of cars, a great tribute, and a return to roots that really hits home. It really reminds me that I need to just get out and drive more.
I have never been a fan of e30. My brother had one 10 years ago, a car that I learned everything about cars from and where my petrol head journey started. Still it never felt like a car that I would like. But these two are different. They way you speak about them, they level of attention that you are putting into the projects, remind me of how I fell in love with cars, and that first car build that I was part of. Thank you for making such a nice and quality content and for reminding us that we do cars because, after all the nerves and issues in that one moment that you are just in front of store staring at your car in the parking lot we are actually happy, and we would do it over and over again!
i never underestimate your ability to find rare and super unique parts for all your builds. this e30 build doesnt disappoint. thank you and cheers to real friendships.
5:40 omg what a nice finish with black paint! 6:28 oh, it's corroded? I guess that explains why people like a rusty look on some parts. Beautiful rims in the end though!
I never grew up a car guy but my close friends are, and any car meet they ever took me too E30s were always my favorite and it's my Dream Car and I can't wait to get one
You have every right to feel so excited about driving your E30. You restored it even better than factory and now it's time to enjoy it as you should. I understand after the restoration is complete, it's great knowing that it runs awesome and now it's time to drive it the way it was meant to be driven. Enjoy your E30 and have fun with it.
Great episode, and I agree, I am searching for smiles per miles not crazy fast or built to the top. I want to enjoy my experience as much as possible. Slow it down and enjoy the moments. Guys ask me if my car is fast and in today’s standards that’s a relative term. To me it’s the sounds, the engagement, and the feeling that I’m chasing. I’m also probably in the minority because I don’t love the slammed look. I like that nice OEM+ look and feel. A finger or two for wheel gap is better to me than the hella flush or whatever look. Can’t wait for the URQ to come together. Hats off to the E30, it’s on my Bucket list to own a proper one.
Another great build for a great reason. I remember Cory from e21 forums, and theNeek if I'm not mistaken with his unique wheel style. Sorry for your loss but you made a hell of a tribute. Enjoy every mile.
Somebody said it already but iam saying it again. Mike your a good dude and what better way to remember your friend. Just as important is your tribute to what we all enjoy the thrill our cars give us. In a kinda related story. I am a ride share driver, I drive a’23 Chevy Equinox RS. I know nothing to really get excited about. But, i have decided to give it a little something extra and put a good flowing exhaust on. So, i. asked in the Equinox group, and some guy asked y would u do that. I thought 1 why not and i enjoy driving. Plus, i spend at least 6-7 hours a day in it. Y not make it even more enjoyable. Thanks Mike, now get to work on that Audi.
Growing up in Los Angeles during the late 70's, 80's and early 90's. I got into cars from some of my friends. Rx3's, GTi's and Datsun 510's with rotory swaps were some of my earliest memories. The cars were clean, lowered, custom wheels and were fast. No wings or body kits. Just clean. Mike you have put together one clean car.
I think that’s the nicest e30 wheel fitment/stance I’ve ever seen. Also those tires for the money are the grippiest ever. They just wear really fast. Probably because you try to take every turn at the max with them
I use to have cars on air or slammed with terrible fitment that would never work and were terrible to drive (no they weren't a fully built Ferrari 308). I them saw the light, bought a stockfish car, did a track day and now I am at a happy medium with an E36 M3 with some sticky tires and other bits and bobs that I drive in the mountains. So much fun. I guess that's just the evolution of car enthusiasm lol
“Smiles per mile” goes the LONGEST way.. Thoroughly enjoyed this playlist; will definitely look into your parts providers and fellow tuners for my next “DTM build”!
I build cars because I love them, but also because of my friends. The friends I have now are all because of my love of cars. This particular build demonstrates that perfectly. It's beautiful because of the car itself, but also because of the reason behind its existence. ❤
Been following this very closely as it's something that hits too close to home to me. One of my best friends passed 3 years ago and my bucket list to do a tribute "build" for him is very high some day even though he's not a car guy. Watching this series really makes me wish I had the disposable income to do so. Stoked to see this coming along
That’s a really really good wrapup to the E 30 build series. Used to have an E30 325I back in high school. Your channel and these cars, my history with my car is what brought me in. I stuck around ever since for everything else because you do amazing work as a builder, a youtuber, and as a friend. You and I might not be friends, but I can see through your dedication to this tribute build, with all the people who want to help you out and spend time with you, it’s pretty obvious. You’re a good dude. Keep up the good work, Mike.
I love BMW's from the 80s. I have since I was in my teens back then. Only owned one BMW a 2004 325i, probably will never own another but would love to have a classic BMW.
Man these are builds that truly keep people coming for more… the passion, the love for a brother, it’ll make you tear up. To anyone that’s lost a brother I feel your pain, but don’t forget that they’d want you to live. Have a great weekend everybody 🤙🏼
Absolutely perfect E30 Mike. Those Alpinas are perfect. It's hard to describe why we build cars but I would say for the smiles, for just the sheer joy we get from driving, like you mentioned even in traffic, running errands, or driving with buddies, creating memories along the way. Keep killing it brother.
I’d say only thing I would do is putting on a m50 intake manifold and help increase airflow, response, intake noise but other than that it’s a beautiful story and a beautiful build to keep the emotions going when you drive it.
My best mate has an E30 as a daily driver, on original suspension an classic BBS 15 cross spoke rims. I drive a fairly current A4 touring quattro, the E30 suspension is sublime in comparison. I recently had to borrow his car, and when I went over a speed bump in town, the excellent comfort compared to mine was obvious.
This kind of car is what wealthy people pay A LOT of money to have. It's a diy restomod. It's shape from youth with the comfort and compliance of something much more modern and expensive with the ultimate engine for the chassis. Also those seats look perfect almost any 80s car.
Man its been a long LONG time since ive watched this channel. I feel like its completely different from what i used to watch a few years ago. i like it keep it up
This is just awesome man. Your dear friend will live on with you for as long as you own his car. I myself absolutely loved my 325is. It was a 89 model. One of the funnest and most well balanced BMW cars I have ever owned. Cheers. Long live the classic BMW.
Sick ride dude. I miss my old ‘86 325i sport. Such a machine. I really liked the Matt black wheel finish against the polished lips. Thought it looked raw af 😎
Hell yeah, I'd pay my left nut to own a E30. I always wonder how it feels to drive one of these machines. Here in switerland they are ridiculously expensive & hard to get these days. Thank you for the Video, was a joy :) Hopefully I will earn the chance to have either an E30 or E24 (or both, eh?) one day ;) Great Video!
This was a special one to watch. It’s tough to describe how hard it hits to have a car connect you so profoundly to a friend or loved one but just know that I do understand. I’m raising a glass to your and your friend 🍻.
Damnit brother... Didn't plan on getting hit right in the feels today.. Absolutely beautiful car, amazing build. Love the hard work you put. You are truly living all of our dreams. Thank you for your content.
Beautiful build and I’m sure your dear friend Corey would be proud. Thanks for the adventure transforming this ride. BTW, love the Alpina wheels except they need center caps. Not sure they were available for this wheel, since you said they were specific race wheels, but I think the center caps for Alpina wheels just complete the look to perfection. Cudos 👍
Those wheels are SUPER pimp Mike, but you’ve got to source an Alpine body kit for that thing to match them. At least the front air dam. Do you have plans for Schrick cams or any more mods? My son is 16 and you’d be surprised to know there is a whole generation of kids who want to see guys like you do upgrades and install parts and film actual how-to’s. Thanks Mike!
so happy to see this end result. i love e30s and this is the exact kind of build i dream of doing. can’t wait to see the next bmw build from mike, maybe next is his dream e28 m5?
This car is fire brother, you can even hear it, car sounds great. Like the Alpines, but should have gone with the black BBS, but dope car regardless. In South Africa, you would be taking a high risk having this BMW, it will get stolen within a month. We love these model BMW's
This series has been so awesome and the end product turned out beautiful! I love the wheel choice and the clean, simplistic look of it as a whole. Well done!
Great job, man! The only detail, that I personally don't like, are the rounded head rests. They should be more square as e.g. the Recaros of the period were. Otherwise, a perfect daily!
I know its a completely different motor, but damn, hearing you driving around, the sound is so similar to my '88 Fiero's v6 and not I really want to hurry up and get the motor swapped and get back out driving it. Fantastic job Mike, the E30 looks fantastic!
Have the same car with the same aesthetics , well almost :) installed the E36 M sports seats and they fit just perfect with a bbs style 5 wheels and a 2.8 M52 engine too. Love the car, hope you enjoyed the build as well as driving the car
@stanceworks - I love the car. Simple, clean. The Euro bumpers and the wheels compliment one another nicely. Is the dash cracked? If yes, PLEASE get a new dash for it and get rid of the rug. I love your content. Makes me feel like I am hanging with you in the garage and modding the cars.
The real build is the friendships we made along the way. Classic trope, but still rings true.
What a beautiful tribute Mike! One could only wish to have a friend like you. Cory must have been pretty important in your life, and it shows. ♥
This is such a great end to the E30 build series. A great set of cars, a great tribute, and a return to roots that really hits home. It really reminds me that I need to just get out and drive more.

Beautiful rims in the end though!
What a day, stanceworks, cleetus mcfarland, cutting edge engineering and inheritance machining all posted today! Best day ever!
Sorry to hear you lost a friend. Perfect build to remember him! And an amazing build at that. Amazing car
Personally i loved the bare magnesium, but overall this build is just beautiful and so meaningful
Man two episodes on the e30 was amazing. Story to details to cinemography
I'm here for the E30and you did not disappoint. What a fantastic execution! And the Alpinas are extremely rare, KEEP THEM, no matter what!
I never grew up a car guy but my close friends are, and any car meet they ever took me too E30s were always my favorite and it's my Dream Car and I can't wait to get one
Idk man, e30s just drive right. They don't call them gods chariot for nothing! Love it. Excited. Stoked. Glad you love it mike
You have every right to feel so excited about driving your E30. You restored it even better than factory and now it's time to enjoy it as you should. Whenever I see a S|W video, I automatically hit like before watching. And I'm never disappointed!

Amazing tribute man. Race in Paradise Cory!
Beautiful build and story. I learned to drive in my dad's E30 and hope to get one of my own someday. Keep up the great work and inspiring stories.
This is exactly what I'd want a friend to do for me. Thank you for documenting it.
I think that’s the nicest e30 wheel fitment/stance I’ve ever seen. Also those tires for the money are the grippiest ever. They just wear really fast. Probably because you try to take every turn at the max with them
this is OEM+ done perfectly. nice job Mike. I'm sure your buddy Corey is looking down with pride.
came out awesome. can't speak for Cory, but I'd be proud of any one of my friends who could build and daily a car like that. respect.
Alpinas, kinesis, etc. All those older 3pc wheels are always hard. I love them too.
I use to have cars on air or slammed with terrible fitment that would never work and were terrible to drive (no they weren't a fully built Ferrari 308). Those alpina splits, DAMN! Love the fitment, beefy tires and "street stance". Love this build!
That’s a really really good wrapup to the E 30 build series.
Used to have an E30 325I back in high school. Your channel and these cars, my history with my car is what brought me in.

This e30 is so simple but a dream build all put together. A++
Beautiful testimony to Cory and lasting friendship. He's looking down proudly
I love BMW's from the 80s. I have since I was in my teens back then. Only owned one BMW a 2004 325i, probably will never own another but would love to have a classic BMW.

A wonderful expression of true friendship and love. Well done!
As sb who lives in germany I can confirm this is peak euro spec oem+ tuning. Super clean man!
Absolutely perfect E30 Mike. Those Alpinas are perfect. I just love e30's. It was my first full restoration project 20 years ago and it's still my true love of cars, especially the e30.

I drive a fairly current A4 touring quattro, the E30 suspension is sublime in comparison.
I recently had to borrow his car, and when I went over a speed bump in town, the excellent comfort compared to mine was obvious.
that kind of sentimentality is what drives so many of my own ideas. its truley inspiring mike....you are making me an e30 fan
Having owned three E30s, including an M3, I cannot imaging a better classic daily driver. I miss my '87 325is even more than my '88 M3.
what a wonderful video that actually brought me to tears, A fantastic creation and a very fitting tribute
Great build for all the right reasons. Great content also.
Beautiful build! Can’t wait for the M-Tech 1 kit on this car!
Absolutely beautiful Mike. What an amazing way to pay homage to our beloved Cory.
The BBS wheels on Corys car look fantastic! love the alpinas too but the BBS are 👌
This kind of car is what wealthy people pay A LOT of money to have. It's a diy restomod. It's shape from youth with the comfort and compliance of something much more modern and expensive with the ultimate engine for the chassis. Also those seats look perfect almost any 80s car.
Stories like this is the reason why I stay in the car community. Loved the whole series of this, thank you!
Man its been a long LONG time since ive watched this channel. I feel like its completely different from what i used to watch a few years ago. i like it keep it up
What a great tribute! This series has been wonderful and I have a better understanding of why BMWs have so many enthusiasts.
What a beautiful tribute to Cory. I loved this build.
Amazing build RIP Corey. Touching episode. Got me all teary eyed
This E30 build is NICE and want you build one for me to. I am a BMVW guy. Sometimes your legs are the best bench ever created.
Car looks awesome 👌. Thanks for another good video.
This car is like the opposite of the things I like, but I'm happy it's done, you love it, and that turned out nice.
Subtle and clean. It’s perfect.
I drive a mk1 vw golf (rabbit to you) everyday here in the UK; build the car and enjoy, it's why we do it!!! Love the e30 by the way...
i always enjoy when i watch a Stanceworks video. Just quality
This is just awesome man. Your dear friend will live on with you for as long as you own his car. I myself absolutely loved my 325is. It was a 89 model. One of the funnest and most well balanced BMW cars I have ever owned. Cheers. Long live the classic BMW.

Happy to see attainable/usable builds like this.
This is a lovely clean Euro E30 , great stance and just sounds lovely and subtle.
That’s one of the best looking e30’s I’ve seen in a long time. Well done Mike
what a beautiful tribute man. I love the e30 platform and I know your friend is looking down on you and loving every minute of this build.
Beautiful simplicity! Love the story! Thank you're for sharing your passion and your heart for all to see.
Beautiful car. Great tribute to a friend
Hell yeah, I'd pay my left nut to own a E30. I always wonder how it feels to drive one of these machines. Here in switerland they are ridiculously expensive & hard to get these days. Thank you for the Video, was a joy :)
Hopefully I will earn the chance to have either an E30 or E24 (or both, eh?) one day ;)
Great Video!
i really love the look of stock 15"s but is fine when your wheels are that special
Something about e30's that brings people together.
This was a special one to watch. It’s tough to describe how hard it hits to have a car connect you so profoundly to a friend or loved one but just know that I do understand. I’m raising a glass to your and your friend 🍻.

You're a great Storyteller Mike. Thank you!
Let's go. Just what I needed to distract me from studying for finals!
so happy to see this end result. i love e30s and this is the exact kind of build i dream of doing.
can’t wait to see the next bmw build from mike, maybe next is his dream e28 m5?
I could hear the love at the end. Awesome job duder.
It would be awesome if you did a feature containing your 2 e30 and comparing differences. 😍 Love em
This car is fire brother, you can even hear it, car sounds great. Like the Alpines, but should have gone with the black BBS, but dope car regardless. In South Africa, you would be taking a high risk having this BMW, it will get stolen within a month. We love these model BMW's
amazing build for amazing reasons
An engine swap hardly makes a full build. I like that.
beautiful video and a great way to remember a good friend
This series has been so awesome and the end product turned out beautiful! I love the wheel choice and the clean, simplistic look of it as a whole. Well done!
Great job, man!
The only detail, that I personally don't like, are the rounded head rests. They should be more square as e.g. the Recaros of the period were. Otherwise, a perfect daily!
Nicely done. Needs a 333i badge on the trunklid. Only those who know, will know.
Just beautiful. Both the build and what it means.
Great looking car, the only things I would change are Seats and a Black Headliner
I know its a completely different motor, but damn, hearing you driving around, the sound is so similar to my '88 Fiero's v6 and not I really want to hurry up and get the motor swapped and get back out driving it.
Fantastic job Mike, the E30 looks fantastic!
Silly good, Mike. Bravo!
Have the same car with the same aesthetics , well almost :) installed the E36 M sports seats and they fit just perfect with a bbs style 5 wheels and a 2.8 M52 engine too. Love the car, hope you enjoyed the build as well as driving the car

Awesome emotional journey with a great result! Thanks for sharing!
Its beautiful and would love an E30 like this as my daily 😍😁🤣
Those wheels are perfect. Even if they were just cheap old Enkies they’d still be great looking wheels in a perfect size
Matching rear seat trim would really lift the interior too, great job overall a perfect enthusiast drivers car
those alpinas are 10/10 great wheel choice.
I'd sell one or both of my children for those Alpina wheels. As always, your wheel choice is immaculate, Mike.
