- Jared, Sawyer, and Aaron set up some USPSA style stages as well as 2 classifiers at Defender Ranch. We may have messed up on some of the scoring or rules, for that we apologize... we're new to this. Let us know in below how we can improve and if you have any fun classifiers that we should try!

I personally like competition shooting contents. This is a good new direction for Tier1 in my opinion.
Completely agree. This is much more practical I feel like for most people.
Competition all day fellas! Everyone always seems to miss that last steel lol. Great content!!!
haha every time!!
So happy to see the T1C team shooting USPSA stages. Quickest way to 1) get better and 2) get humbled. USPSA evens the playing field.
I love shooting competition videos. Especially from concealment because that's what I run in USPSA. You guys should do an aerial view of the stage and then go a graphic from above where you show us your stage plan in order of how you will shoot it. Love the content!!
I like both types of content….. I find the random drills fun and useful for my own range days and entertainment but am for more competition content as well as I think it’s a means to objectively become a better shooter
MORE MORE MORE. Competition first (I shoot IPSC so I am biased), Static drills are fun, but gear is good too. Just more more more of everything! Be fun to see the whole gang shoot this mini match. Colin and Miles commentary on this would be hysterical lol
More competition shooting videos
Awesome video guys. Keep it coming. It’s great to see you guys running drills and showing you are competent shooters who also make quality gear.
We appreciate that, man!!
I like all of your content. I hope you continue the Monday Gunday reviews. I am interested in the competition stuff too.
Also CM 06-03 Can You Count is "virginia count" which means no make up shots - each extra shot and extra hit you get a penalty for - ALSO you would get procedurals for the transition and shot before the reload.
/rule lawyer
I crave more competition and performance high quality material - you guys have the skill set to deliver, this was a great start.
Any shooting videos you put out are AWESOME I think the best ones are where you’re having the most fun!!!
I really enjoy watching your performance based competition content better. The biggest thing that sets your channel apart is you guys are real shooters that actually put your product (Your holsters and gear) to the test and prove that they can hold up to a lot of wear and tear. It would be nice if you could get Hunter Constantine to come back out and compare his draw from the holster times to Jared (IWB).
More competition shooting, please! That's what makes this channel so much fun to watch.
I do like seeing videos of Competition shooting USPSA and IDPA , because I of me recently getting to competition shooting and I shoot from appendix as well so look for videos that can help me become better. Thanks guys, good content. 🤙🏽
These are the videos that get me pumped. Not only the best holster makers, but also giving us the best content.
Gonna start comps soon, would love to see more of these and drill videos
We appreciate you! Get out there and crush it!!
keep up the competition work boys! if you can, hit an sanctioned match. lots to learn and it will be fun to watch you guys improve.
Yes, we like competition shooting. Yes we want to see more. The stigma of "competition will get you killed" is going away. We want performance shooting content. Also, nice work Jared.
Drills are “building blocks”.
Competition is a measure of what you can do Cold, on demand.
Consistency is always King.
Great Vid.
Well said
I’m all about USPSA and competition shooting right now. Love this content!
Absolutely want to see more competition and performance shooting
I would say make gear videos once in awhile but keep these style of shooting videos coming. I love them. Even do a long range mockup course
Fun video. Very entertaining. I enjoy watching drills/competition style videos on this channel
Glad you enjoyed it!
@Tier 1 Concealed Loved this..love the drills, gear and gun stuff too.
I like this style, awesome to watch what you guys are capable of!
Good stuff - very jealous of that training set up ! As you boys already have great fundamentals, it makes sense to flex those skills at full speed by doing more running and gunning - so keep it up . Standards drills are very important but competition is where you find out where the wheels fall off . For training stages , it’s cool to see where your absolute limit is first and then dial it back to the most efficient balance of accuracy and speed that you’d bring out for a real match.
I love this type of content guys, keep it coming 🙏
This was awesome. MORE please!
More competition. Gear reviews are nice, but seeing people use their stuff is so much better.
Also heads up on the classifier CM 09-09 Lightning & Thunder there is a 0.3 second grace period after the par time beep - so the 5.04 was within time as the final allowed time is 5.30 (5 seconds plus the 0.30 grace period which is the length of the timer beep)
Love the competition stuff guys. Great Job!
Thanks so much!
I found Tier1 because of a video I saw of Jared blazing a steel stage on instagram like 6 years ago. Would love to see more of this and more of Mr Tier 1 himself
You guys make great content! I really like these videos and the shooting challenge videos. Both have their place, but it's great to see you guys doing more competition specific content!
Great video, always fun to watch
Great video. Like to see more of this performance shooting. I shot my first match last week and Im hooked. You guys are setting the bar for the industry well done sirs.
Thanks so much, man!
This was actually really cool. Great video!
Glad you liked it!
Enjoy these. Nice change up.
I enjoy all the content that you all put out Competition general information Especially all the videos with the challenge coins and what not Is everything 2:53
Loving the competition content
Rifle to concealed pistol transition videos are dope. I literally rewatch all the you guys videos with that in them
Maybe we'll do some more of those!!
I enjoyed this stuff. Its a natural progression from 20 yrs of combat drills.
This is good stuff. Hope to he attending a class there soon for a good time with like minded people and learning to he a better shooter and person. 🇺🇸🏴☠️DoWork
Def enjoyed this one. Make more for sure
I like both forms of content, I really think when you do pistol reviews that y’all should run them through some of these corses. Best of both worlds
That would be fun!
This was excellent, I shared with my buddies. I watch all your videos and enjoy them all. I've been trying the AIWB carry this past weekend and it was so much more comfortable than 4'oclock carry. I'm just getting into USPSA and learning so much like you guys mentioned it is really, really fun and much more challenging that I would have thought. I'm planning on training a lot with AIWB and using that for USPSA next year. Thanks for making and sharing these videos please keep them coming!
That's so awesome, thanks for sharing and thanks for the support!
I like competition shooting stuff! Very nice vídeo!
On your last drill "can u count" it's usually Virginia count in USPSA, sorry Aaron. You guys are still wicked fast tho... Keep the Comp style videos coming!
This awesome guys great work.!
Thanks so much man! We need to get you back out here
@@Tier1Concealed absolutely!
I enjoy the different CoF with ideas I can take to the range to train/test myself and shooting buddies.
Love it. More please.
I would like to see IDPA and USPSA type matches. If you want to do one on gear, please include the gear you use in competition matches.
I enjoy all the content however my favorite to see is shooting. Different standards, times, transitions and comps for both pistol and long gun
I would LOVE to see more of this!! I run my G21SF Gen3 with my Axis slim appendix holster. I also run iron sights too (lol). I'm always trying to get more people to shoot matches with their edc setup. Please, I love to see these types of videos, also, some combat self defense videos from appendix. Thx
More competition footage! Would love to see you guys attend an actual match!
Keep bringing the competition videos.
we plan on it!
Theres not much you can do with gear, if you cant perform. So competition is a good content, showing people what it is and that its probably the best way to learn shooting.
I personally would like to see more competition style content, keep up the great work!
Thanks! Will do!
Good stuff. More of this
I think the end users who buy your holsters will always support you no matter what kind of content you put out. However, please keep the competition videos come. I gives a lot of your views something they can work on when they go to the range. P.S please bring back “Cooking with Aaron & Sawyer.”
Goon tape is the best! Great video 💪🏽 I’m training to join in on competition with my shadow systems mr920 elite w a Holosun eps mrs and TLR7A my favorite edc setup!
More drill videos please. Love watching and guessing who will have the faster times. Well its more like guessing is it going to either Sawyer or Aaron lol
I liked this video!
All of what Jared said as far as video's, and you need to make an axis elite for the CZ Shadow 2 Compact.
I would like to see combination of drills and competition shooting. Great channel
Also…..really want to see y’all’s gear load out from the SPR shoot the other day!
I like to see the competition shooting side of things, but running it from concealment as you all are. Plus really like seeing Jared shoot. Feel like it’s been a while.
It has been a long time!!
Good stuff
Appreciate it
competition / drills with cool gear!
Shooting content is always better! I personally love USPSA, so it's great to see you guys trying it out and using your platform to expose more people to it. My only constructive criticism is that your scoring incorrectly. You aren't far off though. It's hard to explain in a post, so I suggest going to a sanctioned match (plenty of local clubs out by you guys) and learning from certified RO's. Looking forward to more of your videos!
Thank you!
Need y’all to get that echelon print asap, specially in the agis elite with a tlr-1
The stages were great
They were a lot of fun!
On Can You Count and Lightning & Thunder, I believe it's Virginia Count, which means there is a penalty for every extra shot *AND* extra hit.
On fixed time stages you have a .3 leeway to go over time. So Sawyer's 5.04 should have been good on the first attempt of lightning & thunder.
More classifiers please
Both reviews and random shooting plus competition!
You guys need to sign up for some local matches down in Salt Lake at Big Salty 😉
3:44 baller , people are sleeping on canik
So true
As one of the early members of USPSA, I have seen "practical" shooting change from a shooting sport with combat/self defense applications to a high-round-count sport with little to no real world self defense applications. The relationship to real world gunfights, where the average round count is less than 6 rounds; average engagement distance is under 7 yards; and number of thugs engaged is usually less than 4, has all but disappeared.
Tier 1 drills in the past have emphasized a much more PRACTICAL approach to preparing for potential real life encounters, with lower round counts, shorter distances, and far fewer targets.... hence, more realistic training for the average civilian in terms of speed and accuracy, which in turn leads to a higher chance of survivability.
Don't get me wrong: USPSA classifiers are a great way to measure speed, accuracy, and "power" (well, sorta, now that everybody has switched from 45 acp to 9mm); it is a nice game to play for those who can afford the tricked out guns and cases of ammo; and it gets people on the range to socialize...BUT, your original format of Tier 1 drills is far more appealing to me, and I think to most civilians who really want to get better for defensive purposes.
I started IPSC/USPSA shooting back in the late 1980's, and at age 74, can't run/jump/crawl/bend like I used to... so there is nothing left in USPSA for me as far as being competitive. Bill Wilson's IDPA tried to solve the USPSA "gamer problem" with his format and rules, but it too is not really practical for real world scenarios.
The most realistic club/sport for handgun self defense, in my opinion, is the SCSA, or steel challenge... and the ideal is so simple:
THE #1 RULE: "If you are the fastest AND can hit your target - you win.... otherwise, you lose."
Kinda like real life, be you a LEO, an "operator", or a civilian. This is the foundation upon which all else follows.
It doesn't matter whether you use iron sights or dots; IWB/OWB or shoulder holsters; .22LR, 32 acp, 9mm, 38 spl, 357 mag, 357 sig, 45 acp or 44 mag caliber. These are all secondary to the #1 RULE.
So, leave the gamer stuff to the gamers, and please concentrate on stuff that is practical to the real world, as that seems to be what you are best at. I am impressed by the skills Aaron and Sawyer, and others in your crew, have exhibited in the many videos you have produced. The most important time is the first shot time, NOT the last shot time.
Keep up the great work! DVC... Mark P., Sr., USPSA # L-670
Thanks for the comment and input, we really appreciate it! We don't plan on completely abandoning our simpler drill videos or shooting standards videos, we just wanted to mix it up and try some more competition oriented courses of fire. I think we can all agree that the quicker, more accurate, and more trained you are the better you'll do in a gunfight.
As a newer competition shooter, I will take all of the style content that I can get
I like competition shooting and gear stuff also.
Hard to tell the angles but could you shoot that plate rack right to left and blend it with the final position in front of the window?
competition series with 1st 2nd 3rd getting place point end of a tournament style you crown a champion
Nice shooting and solid setup guys. You did make a few scoring errors, and the classifier shouldn’t be scored that heavily based on a par time. But good content 👍
Nice 👍 👍
More competition shooting along with coming out with competition centered holsters would be great. Specifically USPSA.
I love watching good shooters shoot competition. Especially those new to it😂 always really accurate and too slow
Any info on the movable sun canopies that are the range in the video? Assume they are DIY built, but any info on materials, etc. would be helpful. They would be perfect for our bays at my club range. I’m working on a proposal for our Board to consider purchasing the materials.
We did make them ourselves, they're pretty heavy as we have some really strong winds from time to time at the ranch.
Great video. More competitive contents please. What type of tape is it on your guns please? Do you have a link maybe ?
It's basically just hockey or athletic tape! There's a company called Goon Tape that makes some too
More shooting!
You guys should do a company match at the ranch and get Point 1 Tactics, Hunter Constantine, Jack and the rest of the T1C crew to participate.
That'd be a lot of fun!
9:53. If you’re locked in must go to all 3 positions I would consider soaking up draw time go to left first take everything I can except middle with no shoot moving to middle take 2 open targets on R & L on move (skipping deeper middle target with no shoot until last position from right). Basically turn stage into race to last position taking most difficult target posted up not worrying about exit. Unless I am totally not seeing how stage is setup. Lil tough from video. Guessing 18 Rd stage?
That might be a good strategy! Yes, 18 round stage
Are the Caniks internals stock?
Ok I am curious what guns are you guys using? Great video
Jared and Aaron were running Canik SFX Rivals and Sawyer was using his S&W M&P 2.0 (4.25")
More comp/performance please.
Where did you find that tiger stripe hoodie. I’ve been looking for one
This ones from Magpul!
We’ll go look at the rules (after already shooting) .
Hahaha oops
Sawyer, is your M&P the compact or full size? Great video guys!
Full size 4.25” slide
@@Clarkshooter Thank you sir. Good shooting!
I’d pay to come out and shoot with y’all and learn in a competition setting
More Competition Videos Please....
How can I find sawyer on social media?
1:29 more performance in competition
